Montross Brewery & Beer Garden

Keith is an amazing bartender. He is very knowledgeable in the beers he is serving. Lots of history. We wish him well in all he does. We will definitely be back to visit the brewery.
The couple that owns the food part is amazing. We had the mussels and the homemade pizza. Outstanding. You guys did an amazing job. Thank you for smiles and a great time.

Chill vibe, cool and kind server India gave me great attention. Chef nino suggested the fresh made pasta pomodoro with garden tomatoes as a vegetarian option. Perfect spice level with very fresh flavor. He came out to check my food and his smile says it all; he clearly takes pride in his food. Great atmosphere. Recommend this place for relaxing, enjoyable meal with good food and friendly people.

Some really good quick food and tasty beer for anyone passing through. The food dude of the house makes really delicious eclectic foods at portion sizes that are really sizable. The pub side has a really good selection of beer styles. A great place to chill with friends and family.

Pleasant relaxing atmosphere. Hit the spot after a day hiking at the local park. Pretty decent beers named after the locals. Food available: pizza, sausages, chips, oysters, stew... A bit of parking available. Worth a stop if you need a beer and some grub.

Stopped in on a beautiful night for sitting outside enjoying beer and pizza. My friend and I each had a flight and we shared a pizza. Just a heads up pizza and bagged chips were the only food offerings I noticed. But pizza and beer are one of life's best marriages! My favorites were The Barber and Trailblazer but enjoyed all six beers. The owner, John, came to our table twice and we enjoyed the conversation. Indoor seating is limited but picnic tables are plentiful outside. I noticed a cornhole game set up outside. It was a very pleasant evening and a nice setting and friendly employees. If you are in the area I recommend checking them out.

Awesome place with great beer and food. We were camping at Westmoreland State Park and came here for some great vibes, AC, food and beer. Must stop!

Great atmosphere - small town feel with amazing tastes. Good range of brews, the IPA was out since it ia such a local favorite. Personal fan of the Ultra Sour. Outdoor seating area is perfect for families and groups.

We spent few days in the vicinity of this surprisingly quaint town and had a chance to visit this brewery twice. On both occasions we felt really welcomed. The beer, appies and the servers were top notch. I really recommend this place. (Probably one of my favourite memories from Montross)

We recently visited Montross and stumble upon The Montross Brewery and we were thoroughly impressed. What a wonderful place. They have tables setup outside with fire pits. It is Dog friendly and feels so welcoming. The service was impeccable and Chef Nino prepares the best food! Fresh ingredients, and great portions.

The attentive and knowledgeable brewery staff patiently walked us all through the beer selections.I tried quite a few before settling on the hibiscus ginger honey, yum. I have to say that you really can’t go wrong with any of the beers, everything I tried was good.

We enjoyed everything so much that we went back for dinner next day.

If you are in the area stop in.The food, beer, people, and atmosphere are well worth it.

The beer is awesome and Chef Nino makes amazing food….upscale! Recommend the goulash, caprese salad or any specials. Truly a hidden gem! We will be back!

Wonderful little spot discovered on our trip through Virginia. Had a fantastic time tasting their many varieties of small batch beer and especially enjoyed the company of the owner Rox. An absolute gem!

Great beer at the Montross Brewery. I sampled one of every beer they had on tap. Great atmosphere, perfect place to spend time with family and friends. I love their beer garden!

A must-go when on the Northern Neck. I've met so many interesting and kind people here since it opened in 2016. We're all enjoying our new favorite beers in a totally chill environment, alongside Roxy, John, and often times the staff who love this brewery too. Thursday's first karakoe night was hilarious, so I hope they keep doing it. Nicely balanced & reasonably hoppy IPA, thanks Brewmasters! I think tonight I'll have a flight and a pizza...and a growler (or two) to take home. See you there! *cheers* Update: Stoked to hear there's a peach brew coming soon! Can't wait!

A great find! Good quality and selection of craft brews, and ordered the pizzas from the attached food service which were also great. Accidentally left sunglasses behind and of course got the great small town treatment, holding them for a while until I could get them. An easy and worth it stop in Montross.

A must stop when at home. Great beer, always a great variety although I have my favorite. Love sharing this gem with friends and family. A great spot to chat and catch up, or meet new amazing friends. I do both, regularly. It’s like a little piece of Boston, where everybody knows your name!!! (Cheers!) If you’re a local and you are not stopping in, you are missing out. The beer garden is fun and welcoming. Don’t skip the back side, it’s even more gorgeous. Family and kid friendly. The last time I visited they had a new menu, and the pizza are always great!

This is the spot !!! Great beer better food and well the folks are simply awesome . You feel like you live here all your life !!! Ifyou are in Montross Va and in need of a great time it is a must do !!!

Fresh, flavorful beers and fresh pizza. Greek salad was very tasty as well, and had some quality feta cheese. Go to this brewery with good company for a relaxing summer evening! Highly recommend!!!!

This brewery is a gem of a local business nestled in the heart of Montross. It has a very welcoming & cozy atmosphere combined with a great selection of beer & delicious food! All of the employees & owner are very friendly & will assist you in narrowing down the kind of beer you'd enjoy while visiting here. They also have a seltzer option, as well as a nice, flavorful ginger ale.

Many of the locals can be found here on the weekends as their favorite place to unwind from the tiring work week. All of these reasons are why I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a great spot to visit in Montross!

We went here after going to the Voorhees Nature Preserve, and they had so much outdoor seating, it was wonderful. There are a bunch of picnic tables in the front, and additional seating in the back, so it's really great for staying socially distanced. The beer is also really good, with the peach ginger and the winter ale a favorite of our group. They don't have any food on site (except for bags of chips), but we got pizza from Angelos .4 miles away and bought it back. We're going to come back to hike Westmoreland State Park and come back here for sure!
