Always a great park. Today, I found an empty field to let my dog run.

Multiple different areas to utilize for sports and or games, also camping facilities that are well-maintained with easy to follow directions and signage explaining overnight fees and rules. The caretakers are close by in the event that you might need help and give an extra sense of security. There is a little river area for the kids to swim in which they spent all day doing so and had the best time!

Wonderful little park.
Pictures show right after the flood while water is still high.

We stopped here on our road trip up to Seattle. Great park with shaded seating area, there was a bathroom as well. It looks like a great park for locals with multiple sports fields.

We looked around the area and picked Stan Hedwall RV Park. I was a little concerned about staying here but we find it very nice. There are frequent police patrols and we felt very safe our entire visit. We picked a non shaded area and a call to the City and we changed spots for free. The City worker and the Camp host were very pleasant. It seems a little overpriced but we liked the quite and security. Also need to mention there is a brand new spotless bath house.

Nicely maintained park. Clean bathrooms, picnic areas, and many places to dispose of trash. Plenty of parking, too. Many ball fields for soccer and baseball. Giant grass field for whatever with great shade trees to chill and enjoy the view of Mt. Saint Helens.

Nice large park, several picnic areas through out park, soccer and baseball fields, Playground. River in back is popular with locals for swimming, BUT access to water is down a steep bank. Not handicap accessible.

Did some rockhounding on the river banks. Gravel bars are across river so it took some hiking to get there but had a great day and found some great agates! Pic is of my favorite agate found that day.

The toys could use some help, but it's a pretty decent ball park.

It was our first time going here today and I gotta say I love the seclusion of this park. I love all the open space. I have never seen so much greenery in a night area like this before. Tons of parking, lots of fields to play soccer, lots of baseball fields, playground is small but it's still a nice play area. I like the little drive around that makes you feel like you're driving into the forest.

We stopped at this exit to take a picture of My St Helens. It was a beautiful day and the mountain was just as beautiful.

A nice municipal park in Chehalis that is very easy to access from the 5 Freeway. The park offers a large Pavilion and multiple shaded areas for picnicking. A children’s play park can be found towards the north end. There are soccer fields and lighted baseball fields on site. Use of the sport fields must be scheduled with the city.

There is a campground area as well that is located on the south end of the park near the large pavilion. There are approximately two dozen, back in campsites which all appear to have electric and water. A dumpsite is located near the bathroom/showers and requires a $5 dollar fee.

We visited on a beautiful sunny Sunday and found the park to have plenty of parking, clean bathrooms and a quiet place to have our lunch.
After lunch we had a fun time adventuring in the river and never felt unsafe.
I'll be back, this was a fun place to visit and search for that ever elusive agate.

Love the park. Excellent rock hounding location too.

Now only if people could pick up after themselves and be decent human beings. Disgusting. Y'all need to learn some respect. People that clean up after you are usually volunteering. We're blessed it hasn't been closed to the public yet.

Like this place is private in a lot of areas so you don't feel overwhelmed with people
