What a great experience. The building is wonderfully decorated and well organized by treasures of long past. The staff are knowledgeable and professional. Shari toured a group of us through the multiple rooms on second floor. If you really want to learn about Antioch history, this is a great place to start!! Donations are also accepted.

Rich with Antioch and east Contra Costa County history. There's too much there to see everything in one visit. They're only open for 3 hours on Wednesday and Saturday afternoon, so I will be back.

I've been to many historical small town museums, and this by far has got to be one of my favorites. Whatever it is that you're hoping to find of interest, I'm sure you'll find it here. It is diverse and well balanced, very educational, and educational in a good way... i.e.don't scare the young kids off! The docent was kind and very willing to share a wealth of information. He was much more than a virtual walking encyclopedia on the history of Antioch.:)

I Love everything about the Antioch Historical Society Museum. I will definitely be back.. if you have not gone you need to go and check it out. If you are like me and Love your history and lived here forever or even just a little while go check it. But plan for the whole 3 hours they are open so you can check out everything. For you sports nuts, like me it is so cool to see all the people in your home town sports. The basement is totally sports cave.. it is so awesome... put this on your bucket list. It's in your home town and its FREE. so stop by Wednesday 1pm til 3pm or 4pm. Saturday 1pm til 3pm or 4pm I forget which time but you will definitely need all these hours to check this place out... Thank you again for the tour.

This place is amazing. There is so much history in town. It was cool to see an ad for my Grandpa Mitch's grocery store.

Nice place, I have to share an experience, looking at the vintage clothes and 1st and 2nd World War, rooms, I got this feeling of pain and sorrow and decided to delete the pictures I took, very sad. The building where the museum is located was the first high School of Antioch, you can leave donations entrance is free.

Its open Wednesday 12-4 and Saturdays. We went on Wednesday for a project my daughter had on native american tribes. We chose the Bay Miwok, who are native to Contra Costa County. There were several displays and historical facts and the people were most helpful. We ended the day watching a movie in the "theater." Well done small museum. Did not disappoint!
