This place has the best most flavorful Chinese food we’ve ever ate. So incredibly delicious. The potstickers are perfectly fried with a slight crunch. We cannot say enough good things about this place. The owner has been here for over 30 years. Super friendly staff. Great atmosphere.

Awesome service, awesome food... What more could you possibly ask for? They really are a destination stop.

Whatever you do...the must order Secret menu item is a show stoppers... Salt & pepper shrimp and House chow fun.

Mike, the owner/operator, has succeeded in creating a business that's personable, reasonably priced, and caters amazing authentic cuisine. We've patronized Silver River for over a dozen years without a thought of going elsewhere for Chinese food! Thanks Mike!

Clean place, fresh food, amazing flavors, good cuts of meat. Most Chinese food restaurants start to skimp on quality of meat and produce; This place does not skimp on quality and produce.
I had the soups, very good flavors. I had the Kung Pao Shrimp, love it. I ordered the Rangoon, best ones I have ever had in over 80 to 100 Chinese places I have been, must have with every meal.
I also had the deep fried potstickers, cut them in half, let them cool off and they are the bomb!
I would continue to go back here for Chinese food if I am ever in Oakley area again. Yummy and the owner is very friendly and professional.

Having just moved to the area, I was looking for a new place for Chinese food.
I tried a couple and this the best. Food is hot, tasty, good portions, quality meats and veggies.
Price is $$-$$$ Great find in Oakley. They have been there for 30 years!

After the chinse restaurant we normally visit had a HUGE price increase at the same time the quality and quality went down we decided to try someplace different.
The food at The Silver River was very good and reasonably priced with portions large enough to require take home boxes. Staff was super friendly and attentive.

Silver River is my family's favorite Chinese restaurant. Excellent food, service for both eat in or take out.

We love this place & are regular customers. Good quality, classic American Chinese restaurant. Good portions, good price. Highlights (our usual order): Honey Walnut Prawns, Mongolian Beef, Sizzling Rice Prawns, Egg Fu Yung, Curry Chicken, Beef Chow Fun, Peking Spareribs. My family is Asian and we really enjoy this food. 🥡🥢

Wow! Consistently great food is hard to come by anymore unless you're talking about this place. We don't go here often enough, and always for lunch. It's so refreshing to enter a restaurant I've not been to for a few months and the owner remembers my order! Makes me feel special. The lunch specials are so very tasty, a great price AND huge portions. Mandarin chicken is my favorite but the Garlic Chicken special is my husband's. If you have a hankering for Chinese fare you need to give Silver River a try.

Excellent food!! The server very professional and great personality! My first time there only complaint was an employee was sitting behind the screen wall and eating sunflower seeds? It was very distracting and unprofessional... I will visit again though just hope we don't have to hear the cracking seeds again 😒

Love this stuff. Mike is the best. I always feel like family there. The won ton soup will make you well when you are sick. The chow main and garlic chicken is my favorite. I have never had anything that was not fresh. Love it!

This place is fantastic, every dish we ordered was delicious. The service was outstanding, our server was very nice and she didn't miss a beat. There is a bunch of Chinese restaurants in the Brentwood/Oakley area, Silver River comes out easily as #1.

The food is great. My wife and I try to go at least once a month. We go there for the lunch meal deals between 11a to 3p during the week. Closed on Tuesday.
Plenty of leftover to bring home. The place is clean and well kept.

Silver River is the best Chinese restaurant that I’ve found in the Delta area. The kitchen is fast, the portions are large, and the bill is low (compared to other places that I’ve gone to). All the dishes that I’ve had here have been delicious. Thank you, Mike, for being here.

I'm from Orange county California and there are tons of pho restaurants everywhere. There's so many restaurants that serve pho that the names of these places are just pho and then a number like pho 86, pho 88, pho 45... What makes a good pho restaurant? It's the broth... The silver River restaurant has some good broth. The service was fast and friendly. This restaurant is a gem hidden away in Richmond.

We love this place. Been coming here for about 8years now and we love Mike he is a great guy. The food is always awesome. We order the same thing everytime Garlic chicken, curry chicken and fried rice..yummy!!

Best place in the Bay Area (imho) for Chinese food!! Don't let the look from the outside fool you, this place is legit. You can't go there and not get the crab rangoons and their garlic fried chicken!! Everything I have tried there is wonderful. The owner Mike is a crack up, and his staff is attentive and friendly. This is our go to spot.
