El Patio Mexican Grill

Live in Orange County but often visits Bakersfield. A friend recommended the restaurant so my daughter and I tried it for the first time last weekend! Had high expectations but when I tasted the special of the day, I was totally shocked at how delicious the food was! I had the fish fillet with shrimps and clams . The fish was lightly fried that just melted in my mouth ! I’ve been tasting food for over 30 years as part of my job. I must say the taste is of gourmet standard. The quality of food is 5 stars. Can’t wait to go back to the restaurant again soon! Like, this weekend!

I usually say the prices are a bit high at places, but let me tell you, the food is fantastic (the portions are huge), the service is great, and the atmosphere is really chill. Definitely making it a spot for the family.

We love El Patio!! We have been eating here since they opened, about 15 years ago. Very professional, courteous and caring staff. We love to eat here at least once a week if not more. The food is delicious and fresh, always hot and the margaritas are the best! The owner Javier is very nice and always makes you feel welcome, Sammy and Oscar are great also. My kids grew up eating here and I recommend this restaurant to anyone who want great food, service and great margaritas, strawberry ones are the best! Local family owned restaurant, support our small locally owned business!

My first time there and I've lived in Bakersfield all my life. The food was super great! All the plates came out HOT along with the food! The portions on the plates were more than expected too! I expect to go back very soon!

This is my family's go to restaurant. I grew up in the neighborhood in the area and they've always been a staple in our family. Their food has always been delicious, the restaurant has always been clean, and their service is impeccable. Their margaritas are delicious, their mexican food authentic, and chips and salsa homemade, fresh, and addicting! I'm so glad they're still around many years after moving out of my parents house!

Best in Bakersfield. This place is a gem that too few people know about. It's got the best Mexican food in Bakersfield and the staff is always friendly. Prices are very reasonable and you just cant beat it in this town. Period.

Best place to have amazing mango margaritas 🍹and the Chile Verde French fries are my favorite, and I love the home made chips and salsa is top notch. Very good servers Oscar and Sammy . Javier, he is very kind and welcoming to all his patron.

Javier and his team make El Patio one of the best, always consistent, delicious places to enjoy a meal. This family owned restaurant offers plenty of food and drink options to keep any person happy!

I've gone here a few times and love it. The atmosphere is great, the service is fantastic, and the prices are preferable compared to other restaurants in the area. Their enchilladas and fajitas are da bomb. Highly recommend it!!!!
