It's a very busy cafe, but not super loud. Great atmosphere and as someone with ADHD, it was a bit overwhelming going alone. If I had someone else with me, then it would have been better.
I will definitely be going back again, as I love the food!
I had the #16 with coffee, a slice of cheesecake with strawberries and whipped cream. I also got a cinnamon roll to go!
I sat at the counter, I asked where would be best from the person showing me to my seat, it was fast and the best service! There was one lady running the whole counter and she was wonderful. She made my very first visit there a pleasant visit and she was the best at getting everyone in and out! She even made sure to give me the proper instructions on how to reheat it. She also made sure everyone had what they needed and made sure food came out hot and fresh!

First time eating here, and we ate breakfast. I had the Cajon seafood omelet friend had Chicken fried steak and eggs, and was Finomanally delicious! I tried to eat here years ago since I'm in a wheelchair,we couldn't fit in the dinner we had left but since then they added the outside extension and it has plenty of room now and it's absolutely delicious food, Parking sadly is a pain in the backside. Highly recommend we'll worth waiting in the long line.

Classic Americana food. We had chicken and waffles, because we could! They let our little doggie come in which was wonderful. Very family friendly, and an extensive menu. Parking can be tight. There is often to wait on the weekends. Weekday, no problem.

Amanda, our server gave us amazing service. First time here and my experience was beyond comparable. Food was amazing, you can tell it's from scratch. Want to come here as much as I can. If you have to wait, it's worth it!

The location is on a one way road (24th). The parking lot has limited parking. It's a cafe not some extravagant location. The decor reminds you of diners in the past. The indoors has benches and a counter sitdown on the inside. They built a covered outside dining area which happens to be heated. The food was excellent as it always has everytime i've eaten here. The service is excellent and friendly.

What a great old school diner spot for breakfast. We were on our way up to Kern river for a two day rafting trip. We didn’t order anything special but it was really tasty. The biscuits and pancakes were really good. The service was friendly and prompt even though they were busy.

Ordered a cinnamon roll, a lot bigger than expected and great to share! Alongside the chicken and waffles. The Chicken was beautifully breaded in-house and tender, alongside having a deep peppery flavor to it. The waffles were crispy and fluffy inside with a slight aromatic hint to it.

Great food, speed and service, the waitress was super friendly. Would eat here again!

This was my first time at this neat nostalgic gem. I was part of a large group eating breakfast. The wait staff did a great job taking care of us and getting our meals to us in a timely fashion. I ordered a fried egg on top of tortilla with hash browns. I think it came out really good. The eggs were cooked great and the hash browns were cooked to a wonderful crispiness on the outside and yet super tender on the inside. I will definitely be coming back, this was really good. I also should commend the staff even further. They did a really great job working together and making my group was taken care of. It's unusual to never have an empty coffee cup, but they pulled it off. I can't wait to go back and try their lunch specials..... On a side note, this place is packed with a lot of nostalgic items. One thing that really stood out to me was an old fire engine pedal car, I wish I had one as a kid, it looks really awesome.

Feel: Marvelous brekky food in a traditional 50-60s diner style.

Pro tip: If you go on a Sunday you will encounter the intense church masses but just say you're cool with bar seats and you'll sit in 10-15 mins even during peak breakfast hour.

The food: classic but effective dishes from the best French dip you'll ever have to the homemade peanut butter made for you on the spot with their vintage machine. It's cool to see.

The service: above average and solid kindness from servers. They are genuinely good people.

Conclusion: go this Sunday or die in depression eating your cereal and grilled cheese at home.

Brought my aunt and wife to breakfast here and had one of the most amazing breakfast experiences ever. We were very lucky to arrive when we did. We were seated quickly and well taken care of by Clarinda. She was courteous and quick, accommodating and helpful, friendly and professional. Food was abundant in portions and flavorful. This is my new Bakersfield breakfast spot. Don't get here too late or expect a wait.

Do not judge a book by it's cover!! Located in Bakersfield,CA this is a gem in the rough. We decided to try this Triple D recommendation after much debate. It is a small little diner that is nestled between some pretty big buildings. But the sign on the building will lead you to the diner. It's small. Quaint. Cozy. Not for anyone who is looking for ohh and ahhs of the atmosphere. Adorned with oars, diving flippers, and small scale canoe and antique fishing rods this place has an inviting aroma of breakfast and nostalgia immediately upon entering. There were 4 of us on this trip and we each decided to try something different from the massive menu laced with plenty of drooling choices from breakfast to lunch. I chose stuffed avocado with fresh crab and tomato salad, and my friends ordered homemade chorizo with potatoes, stuffed french toast with eggs, and lastly chili Verde. No pictures because before we knew it we were all driving into this fiercely delicious ensemble of plates. We all had a bite of each other's plate and we were all thoroughly satisfied with each plate. 2 of us ordered Mimosa (delivered with a glass of oj, a small bottle of champagne (can't remember the name) and a beautiful glass to mix to our hearts desire. Also had a cup of coffee that was delivered with your choice of creamer. And before we left we ordered a short stack each of pumpkin pancakes and blueberry pancakes. The only picture I took of this dining affair!! And they were delicious when I had them the next day reheated!! My friends and I split the pancakes so we each could enjoy them. This place has so much to offer and we didn't have the belly space or time to enjoy it all. But I'll definitely be back for more if I'm ever heading around the area again. Thank you for all the hard work and scrumptious food!!

Stopped here on the way to Disneyland and everything was so good we stopped by on the way home to try a few other things. The food and staff are beyond reproach. It will now be a destination for us.

I stopped here on the way from Yosemite to LA. Both service and food were excellent. The interior is classic diner, and as a tourist from Europe I loved the authenticity of this place. Manager greeted regulars personally. Our sandwiches were excellent - like homemade. Definitely a place I will return to whenever I drive through Bakersfield.

I had the country fried steak with eggs and hash browns. It was decent. The service was excellent. The atmosphere is old school vibes, nice place to eat. The tables are really close to each other so it feels crowded.

As good as ever. The service was wonderful, we never had to ask for a thing! They gave us all the time we needed, and the food was amazing. The Chile Verde Omelette is my go-to. Thank you 24th Street Cafe!
