Still One Of Bakos Best Restaurants! Excellent Food and Service and The Mai Tais are Always on Point!

Legendary deliciousness, for me the late 80's till 2022 and beyond, I left town for 13 yrs, no two Chinese food joints are exactly the same, you accept what you are given. The atmosphere @BLBC is and has always been upscale, even looking into the bar as an adult I want to take a nap or do some blow lol, it's still that cool. Still an attractive young woman greeting and seating you!?! I need to come here more than twice a year, bottom line. The food is good too, parking never an issue

Never a bad experience here in the many years we have been coming. Had been awhile since our last visit and I'm happy to say it's just as good as I remember. A bit of a wait to get seated during a busy lunch period, but well worth it. Food, service and ambiance was all top notch. Bill Lee's is still setting the bar for a fine Chinese experience

The menu is a little small, but everything we tried was done very well. Light on veggie options. Drinks were fabulous. Bottom line, fun, classic Chinese food we all grew up with in America!

There were six of us for lunch. We had a great time.

The food is amazing! The shrimp was perfectly cooked. The server explained what my child was ordering so she didn't end up with something she wouldn't like.

Outstanding Chinese food. Been eating here a long time, always good. I also have them deliver to my house always great. Ken the bartender is a pleasure, excellent bartender, order a mai tai, you won’t be disappointed. My waitress today was outstanding Abigail, thank you.

I ordered to go the number 2 combo and it was nothing short of amazing. Billy's always comes thru never fails. The shrimp was crispy and succulent, the pork fried rice was delicious, spare ribs were great!

Bill Lee's is the best Cantonese food in Bakersfield and a local icon. I've been eating here since I was a kid and still remember the always kind Mr. Lee standing by the entrance in his suit with a big cigar in hand. The recipes have remained the same all these years and stand up to the test of time. I highly recommend Bill Lee's Bamboo Chopsticks to anyone looking for great Cantonese cuisine.

Great atmosphere, decode, and huge family-style sizes for the dishes. We went on my husband's birthday to specifically eat noodles (long noodles on your birthday helps you live a long life!). We always end up taking food home too.

Everything is great! the bar tenders are large, hefty women with mean ugly faces and not too intelligent but make a fabulous Mai tai

Tried a few new to me dishes tonight and it was all delicious. Mandarin duck w/Cantonese noodles, chicken lo mein and classic sweet and sour chicken. Another Bakersfield institution continuing to live up to its history.

Eating is wonderful especially when we get our favorite, Shannon, and the food is very good. Today I ordered for delivery, due to just having surgery. The young women in your call center are short and rude, if I was able to get up and cook I would have canceled the order!

Drove over 100 miles to eat here. Saw an article in SF gate and said it was worth the drive and they were absolutely correct!

Bill Lee's Bamboo Chopsticks has been an old family favorite since the sixties. We moved away and I have missed it. It was a treat to come back.

I was there as a part of a large party, including my four kids. Seated quickly. Loved the decor and ambiance. Seated well for our large party. Service was timely and very professional and polite. My 8 year Olds enjoyed their experience, no crayons needed...they were distracted with yummy tea! Food was amazing...except for the duck, but that is my personal taste...I was just disappointed that it tasted bland to me. Everything else is absolutely awesome! Love the egg drop soup...chow mein is fabulous...rice is perfect texture and flavors...sweet and sour is near perfection...I absolutely loved the experience! 5/5 Absolutely recommend by me!!

Bill Lee's Bamboo Chopsticks is simply iconic for me. My Grandfather would have business meetings there. He fed all of his employees a great meal while they talked about the needs of the company. Everyone was able to voice their ideas over some of the best Chinese food and it was such a great atmosphere. Happy employees meant better business and a smile makes a big first impression. That's what my Grandfather would say to my sister and I. We learned so much about valuing others and teamwork at Bill Lee's. It became a special place for us. Not only because of our Grandfather, but because of the amazing venue. The dining area is beautiful. The artwork on the walls is stunning. And the food.. superb. I love to revisit this fine establishment and reminisce over everything it means to me. Enjoy!

Great Chinese food downtown. Lots of parking behind the restaurant. I've never had anything here thar wasn't great!

Great place for a quiet lunch, and drinks with coworkers and/or friends. Bartender was attentive, and made our drinks very well.
