The gentlemen at the metal detector (and at the desk to the side) with the Kern County Parks and Recreation~Administrative Building-- were some of the most professional
and nicest employees I've come across in quite sometime. They went out of their way to assist me with an issue I was having on the afternoon of 6/28. In our world today-- they were a bright spot that gave me hope that there are still kind people within our society.

Thanks again, guys.

Jefferson Park has children asking patrons of the park to pay their entrance fee ,7. This is a regular basis as the lifeguards are aware. & turn a deaf ear & eye . If you are an American with disability disability

In February I purchased a gate pass for Buena Vista and as of today I still do not have it! Called the front gate several times and they are helpful and have been trying to get my pass mailed to me, but now it looks as though I am going to have to go in person and get it. What is with these people?

I went to parks and recreation on June 24th to get an alcohol permit for hart park on Saturday the 25th. Got there about 4:10pm. Front staffed (like 3 ladies standing around) called Karen up. Karen said because they are under or short staffed it's too late to get a permit. For me to stop a ranger and ask for one. And if the ranger gave me any problems tell him that Karen said too. I'm not sure of her last name something like Mckenzie, mckinsley or Kinsey. She tells me the rules and the cost. Then I left. Thinking by time she told me all that she could have gave me a permit.

Anyway Saturday we did what she said and stopped a ranger. He said they've already had this talk with them, they won't give out permits because it's a form of extortion because they also give tickets to people who drink with out permits. So it's like give me $10 or give me $100. I sorta understood what he was saying and he was nice about it but at same time it's irritating. You try to do the right thing and someone always putting up road blocks.

What makes me the most mad, Karen knew full well the ranger was not going to give me a permit when she said that, since he said they've already had the discussion and it was made clear to them they don't give permits. She flat out lied to me. So if u go in to get a permit, don't leave with out one. She gives u a line of b.s. don't believe her. OBVIOUSLY SHES JUST LAZY !!
