Mad love for these rare fine folks! They sincerely care for the people that walk through the door, showing pride in their work and true passion for bikes. They helped my son and I big time, with a problematic Walmart bike and proved it was poorly designed. They back up the bikes they sell with repair coverage, so it's best to come here before you look elsewhere. Thanks and may God bless you!

I used to go to a bike shop in Downey (I won’t say the name) and I would have a nice experience until I noticed anytime I would leave, my bike still didn't feel right or it would feel weird and he would tell me that I didn't need a tune up. He started contacting me from their business Instagram handle (it was family owned) and the guy who was in charge of that location started sliding in my DMs and commenting on my pictures on my Instagram page, he started following me and contacting me on his personal account too. I overall started feeling uncomfortable going to that bike shop in Downey so I went to Pat’s 605 Cyclery, where the manager told me that I had major work that needed on my bike, including a major tuneup. I had the Long Beach marathon the following day and I wouldn't have time to do all the work he needed to get done on my bike so I had to wait until after the marathon. After everything, I got my bike fixed/adjusted and a major tune up, my bike felt brand new! It truly was a night and day difference. They also helped me get new cleats on my cycle shoes as well. Thank you for everything, Pats! 10/10 recommend.

Owner greeted us at the door. Hooked it up with 2 tires. Everyone working greeted us separately and asked us if we needed anything. They also have a good variety of bikes at different price ranges.

I needed a bike box big enough to fit my fatbike so I could fly home out of LAX. I messaged a week early and they said they could help out. I went to the bike shop this morning hoping they had something that would fit my bike. It was perfect. Such friendly service too.

Stuck 15 miles out on a bike ride with a flat and I had a tire that did not want to bulge out of the rim. First met a young man who helped me and he was extremely friendly and helpful. I swear it took 3 guys to get this tire out and when they did all they charged me was a couple bucks for the labor! they are extremely helpful and you can honestly cant beat their prices anywhere. I would definitely come back! Not to mention they did it ASAP and saved me a walk of shame home or a pricey UBER!

Great staffs. Just went in to get my rear derailleur adjusted. I was expecting to just leave the bike and come back later but it was done right away. Great price also for tune-ups. I will definitely come back to have my bike's service here.

Best bike shop ever! Been coming here 25 yrs... Not about the almighty dollar here, it's about customer service and high-level expertise. "Christian" combines speed with expertise when he works on your ride for repairs or upgrades.. At any given time, there's 40-50 bikes that have been serviced, waiting for pickup by their owners, and many are premium bikes.... what does THAT tell you ? These guys know their stuff....such a great place....

I'm a beginner in bike riding, I had lots of questions, they were very courteous on the phone, and very understanding to my needs and helped me with options and suggestions for making my riding experience enjoyable and safe. Professional in helping and setting up the work for my bike, anyone I asked was knowledgeable as far as the status of my bike and it's location. I am impressed with their expertise, professionalism, clean and organized store. I watched how they interacted with other customers and were just as courteous. Highly recommended and trust their work.

My first time to visit this shop. Very patient people, and knowledgeable, I mentioned my type of bike and what I wanted, he didn't wait for me to say size, he just went and got what I needed and was spot on. Now I need an over haul and spoke repair, so I will take it there. I appreciate a great place to get my bike worked on, I love my bike, and need it in tip top. I picked up my bike and I am so happy that it is working like new. I am back as needed, very happy and will be back as needed. I named my bike Oginalii which is Cherokee for My Friend.

This place is very nice! They have a great variety of bikes and parts. I brought in my old Schwinn and they did some mods, maintenance and upgrades while I waited. I also bought some tubes for my other old bike. Super friendly and patient with an old guy like me who talks way too much ;)

As a first time customer, I was pleasantly impressed with the shop itself, and overall service. My bike was tuned up, and came out looking brand new. It rides Sooo much better now. Thanks for the same day service Rick. (BEST CYCLE SHOP AROUND!)

This review is for their service department.

I had a hell of a time taking off the bottom bracket from an old bmx bike my son and I were working on. I called Pats on a Sunday morning and asked how long it would take for them to take off the bottom bracket. The guy on the phone said it would be an over night service

My son and I take the bike in and the floor room is pretty empty. One of the men working there said he would take off the bottom bracket then and there. 5 minutes later...done.

We were able to complete the work on the same day thanks to the awesome service at Pats.

Everyone loves their local LBS (local bike shop). It's so quaint and the sixty year old mechanic that has become your cycling guru is irreplaceable. But have you noticed that it's a bit run down, doesn't have much of a bike or accessories selection, is a hole in the wall, and the employees aren't that up to date on the newest equipment and tech in cycling? That's why you should be going to Pats. The place is clean has a huge selection of everything and anything you're looking for, and you can take a look into the room where the mechanics are at work. Don't get me wrong though, it's not a completely anonymous store with mindless employees, these guys are helpful and knowledgeable.

I went in for a few spare parts I needed, some crimp on brake line ends, bar plugs, and a couple bottles. Got everything I needed and had a great time walking around the store checking out what they've got. Prices were also very good. Could you find some things cheaper online, sure, but is waiting a week or paying for expedited shipping worth it? Probably not. Pats is quite a bit out of my way and I'll pass several other bike shops on my way there, but it is definitely my go to LBS.

While trying to change my brake cable I misplaced a small plastic washer that goes inside the lever. I went crazy looking for this. I came to this shop to get the brake line and showed the gentleman what I was missing. He looked everywhere in his drawer and game me this piece for free. I would have had to replace the whole lever. I highly recommend this shop. They have true passion for customer service and bikes.
