Great place to take a walk. Different terrain, lots of plant and animal species. Lots of non native trees to see, as well as some PNW trees like Garry Oak, that are not so common anymore. Eagles, Herons, Ducks are usually there. Kid friendly. Free!

Beautiful place to come visit! It's very quiet and peaceful. All the people we came across while walking the trail were very polite and curtious. I recommend visiting!

Wasn't too busy for a Saturday. The trails are nice and marked for other connecting trails. Informational boards at the entrance and along the water. Didn't have a lot of time so just did the shorter trail but definitely will be back to explore more of the area.

This is a lovely place. There wasn’t very many people either. Lots of old trees including some Oaks and Maples.

My family really enjoys this easy stroll for the great views of Puget Sound and the seasonal salmon-spotting opportunities.

I love this place. Here are a few reasons.
1. An amazingly clean porta potty.
2. Free parking (no Discover Pass required)
3. Excellent educational signage in the bird sanctuary
4. Add a $12 Shellfish License and go pick up a lit.of clams and oysters at the waters edge.
5. There is a gas station across the street for things you may have forgot to bring.

Beautiful preserve along Oakland Bay! Great walking trails...can see wildlife (hawks, osprey, deer and the occasional snake). Live that they converted the old golf course to this beautiful preserve. Enjoy!

I Love this spot! It's a great place to get away for some alone time! Or to visit and catch up with friends/company! Or a stroll with a significant other! Or with your kids! And also for your fur babies as well! But, Be Careful if you've got smaller dogs there near dusk! I have seen coyotes roaming around there near dark! I stop here often! I can spend several hours or ten minutes and it's always the perfect spot! (Although, I will say, as beautiful piece of land as it is....I still miss the Bayshore Golf course! But there are plenty of other courses close enough by!)

Beautiful area with groves of very old fir trees and access to the bay. A hidden gem.

This is a great, easy walk. Don't rush it. Take your time and enjoy the view. Well maintained and clearly marked.

Such an amazing place... sorry I did not take photos! Trails (very narrow) thru native grassland and huge deciduous trees right to the waters edge. Right off the rural highway and large gravel parking lot.

Such a great place to go for a walk. The paths are decently long but you're always pretty close to the car. Make sure to bring water!

Excellent space and clear for flying kites on the southeast shore. Be mindful not to trod into the salt marsh, but otherwise there's plenty of area.
