Casa Bogart

Absolutely perfect stay, we had wonderful fall weather and got to enjoy the beautiful backyard. Amazing short walk to town. Very comfortable beds, nice fireplaces, fun kitchen to cook in too.

Recently remodeled by friends of ours, they've put a ton of work and care into updating this home, which can be reserved through CentralReservations.net or other booking websites like Airbnb.

Enjoy easy access to downtown Winthrop while lodging at Casa Bogart, located one block up 'Pool Hall Hill' from the center of Town. Casa Bogart (formerly the Badger House), 40-year home of former Winthrop Mayor Warren Badger and family, has recently been restored to its early 1900s era charm. Visitors can enjoy sitting on the veranda, overlooking Winthrop and the surrounding hills and mountains. The yard is peace filled and gorgeous,

The house has three bedrooms, two full baths, a fully-equipped kitchen, dining area and living room with flatscreen TV -BluRay DVD player. Two bedrooms have queen beds and the third bedroom has a King bed. There is a 2-car carport and, of course, access to the porches and fenced yard.
The house , though not licensed as 'disabled accessible', is easy to maneuver in a chair. There is a low slope ramp on the SE side of the house from the carport to the low (~ 14”) SE deck. The entry door on this side of the house is 36” and once inside the house the NW Queen Suite is accessed through 36” wide doors as is the suite’s bathroom. The only concern is that during the winter the access to the ramp from the carport sometimes needs to be cleared of snow and ice. This is not done routinely but if we are informed of the need for access we will do our best to facilitate it. During the winter we would request that anyone entering in a chair have an competent AB person to assist them if needed. At this time the house does not have a roll-in or low-curb shower, only two tubs.
