Winthrop Emporium

Great shop with everything from fishing gear, enamel cookware, camping supplies, snacks, and souvenirs to a 24-flavor ice cream counter. Lots of old-fashioned charm, and the employees are friendly and knowledgeable, too. We always make a point to stop in to the Emporium when we're in Winthrop.

It is more than a gift store, really worth looking at. People inside were friendly. Classic Winthrop.

5 stars just because they sell every flavor of Liquid Death!

Surprisingly well stocked. Helpful staff. We forgot a toothbrush. They had multiple to select from. Price as expected in a tourist stop cut off from the West side for the entire winter

No doubt this is the signature store in Winthrop. It is located right at the intersection of the main street in town and almost all tourists enter it.
There is little choice of food inside and everything is overpriced. Like a tourist I recommend to visit the store and buy the Big Foot hat. For buying food I would recommend ThriftWay store which is a mile away towards Twisp.

Leckeres Eis

Is ok, I was expecting more, the downstairs is awful Chinese crap….

Not very friendly, girl that waited on us didn't want to be at work. We asked if they had coffee and she said not at this time of day. Instead of making a pot and selling 2 coffees when it says coffee right on there sign. I will go down the street next time.

Our one bad experience in Winthrop. We were greeted with a very sharp "Can I help you?" as we walked in. It felt like we were being accused of something and were certainly not welcome in this shop. We're middle aged, clean and well dressed. Our experience in this store was the opposite of the friendly welcome we received in every other store in town. The merchandise was of questionable quality and I could see why no one else was in the store. It's really too bad, this store has a great location.

We stopped by this store around 4pm on 6/19/2023. This store is a nightmare whiled with racism and bigotry. We knew walking in that the guy working was eyeballing every move we made. Upon paying he threw my friends debit card with attitude and immediately turned his back. I would really avoid this place.
