Trail's End Bookstore

This book store is very big, it’s misleading from out side. The back of the store gives you a view of the river as you read, very cozy. My wife was also surprised my their selection. If your into books and reading you have to stop and check this bookstore out. The young lady at the register was also very customer service oriented.

Awesome bookstore which is much bigger than it appears from outside. They have a great children's area, gifts (some with a local theme), local books, nonfiction in quite a few subjects, general and genre fiction, poetry, some toys, and more. Nice selection of local books, too. We always make a point to stop into Trail's End Bookstore when we're in Winthrop. And be sure to go to the back of the store and look out the window -- there's a breathtaking view of the river.

This is seriously an incredible bookstore! Maybe the best I have ever visited! We had such a great time going through all the books, and doing the puzzle provided. We spent an hour just looking at everything! It was so much fun! They have something for the whole family there! They have couches and chairs placed throughout the building and spectacular views of the river. They also have small play areas for children. They even have a little coffee shop inside. I really enjoyed their story time corner. I also really like that they had a small area dedicated to local authors! They really have catered to every need! It is a must stop location if you visit Winthrop! You will not be disappointed. There are a few items that were overpriced, compared to online prices, We still purchased in the store though to support the local business.

This is a great bookstore!! It's bigger than it looks from the outside. It's bright and open, with a great selection of popular authors, local interest and puzzles and some children's toys. The children's section is really well done with something for all ages. Staff was friendly and helpful.

My wife and I vacation in Winthrop Washington and my wife loves to read so we always visit the bookstore the staff is great and the selection of books is good

One of the best independent bookstores I have visited, including many in Washington and California. Great kids area with toys to play with and many, many books for kids of all ages. We were visiting from out of town over the Christmas holidays with a two year old and went there twice!

Excellent place - here you'll find the tools that will help anyone to learn to think for themselves and develop opinions without just parroting others. And the view of the river is beautiful as well.

What a great selection! I’m an avid reader but I ended up forgetting to bring a book for the weekend. I’ve never been happier to forget something because this bookstore was a real treat.

My favorite bookstore in all the land. I love grabbing a book and sitting by the window and watching the river. The staff is kind and not pushy and they have an amazing selection of books, even poetry, which isn't always the case.

Wow. Must be one of the nicest bookstores I have ever experienced. Incredibly huge place offering nearly every subject imaginable...nice focus on local lore & subjects. Toys, cards, gifts, even espresso! A gem of the Methow Valley.

Wow, a bookstore in this small 'western' touristy town... Very helpful staff, GREAT SELECTION OF BOOKS, and they will order anything. Please shop there in this time of the 'virus"... it's worth it.

I love the layout of this bookstore, which manages to achieve coziness without feeling cramped. The sections are well-organized and I could have easily spent all my money here
