Ohana Veterinary Clinic

I would never think of taking my precious Dude anywhere else. I have been taking my pets there for a very long time. Everyone there makes us feel like family. The staff is extremely kind and knowledgeable. I highly recommend them.

Some of the most caring doctors, techs and office workers you will find anywhere. They really care about the animals. My little Trouper is living proof of that dedication and love. I found her with a massive gash in her abdomen that had been there for several weeks, I honestly didn't think she would make it to even be able to have the surgery. But they didn't quit on her and at I got the call at 9:30pm that she had made it through surgery. Still in serious condition but she was a fighter and so was everyone at Ohana! It took 6 weeks but she finally healed and was able to come home. The first 2 pictures shows her when she got brought in and the next picture was taken just over a month later, hard to believe it's the same cat! They are amazing!

The clinic is small but the veterinarian doctors are very knowledgeable. The staff are super nice and very attentive to what you need for your pets. Only thing tho is the parking spots are limited, like 5-6 cars can park at once other than that you might need to find street parking depending on how busy they are. I've been to other veterinarian clinic and I like this place better due to the customer service they provide and how the doctors are very understanding on what we need for our pet to save some $$ such as medicine prescription. My frenchie is suffering from bad allergies and seizure. They were able to fix the allergy and kept it maintained and for the seizure meds we got a written one so we can get it elsewhere that's lined up with our budget.

I have been taking my precious pets to Ohana veterinarian for over 14 years. I would never think of taking my precious pet anywhere else. They have always taken care of my babies with love. I had 2 Akita and Jindu mix. Trojan had a bad skin condition they worked tirelessly to help resolve his issues and treated him with so much love and care. His sister Akeena always had issues with her ears. Again they worked tirelessly to resolve her issues and treated her with the up most love. When unfortunately Trojan and Akeena passed away I received a beautiful bouquet of flowers from Ohana Veterinary knowing they acknowledged that my precious babies passed really meant the world to me. Now I have a pug and chihuahua mix his name is Dude. When I received Dude from the shelter I knew exactly where I would be taking him for all his medical needs and that is Ohana Veterinary. They make Dude and I feel like family. They are very knowledgeable in everything they do. The staff and doctors are exceptional. I highly recommend them.

The most considerate, intelligent care for practical prices. Experience from treating so many animals at the local animal shelter that adds to their extraordinary diagnosis work.

I've brought my boy here a couple of times. He loves the staff here! They are gentle and loving with my fur baby. I recommend them.

Overall It was a positive experience. The doctor was very caring and informative. I felt at ease leaving my baby kitty with her and the staff. The office is clean and they have Coffee and water while you wait. Would highly recommend this Veterinary clinic.

I’ve appreciated Dr. Shin’s expertise and thoroughness in taking care of my older dogs’ needs. She spent a lot of time explaining what I can do to help them be as healthy as they can be in their golden years. Whereas in retrospect, I think my previous vet tried to push a certain kind of expensive liver dog food that was sold in their office, she didn’t do that. She said that his numbers didn’t look that bad and said that I could transition back to regular dog food. Dr. Shin recommended I get a senior dog food but gave me choices. I appreciate that I’m not being upsold on something and it makes me trust that she’s only going to recommend what’s necessary. She and her office staff have been great about communicating different things and checking up in my dog’s progress while being on certain meds. I feel like my fur babies are getting excellent care right now and I am so grateful to have found Dr. Shin and Ohana Vet Clinic.

I'll never take Nina anywhere else. Trust is hard to give but they've earned mine. Reasonable prices and the care/customer service is excellent!!!!!

The staff greeted me right away and were very friendly. My cats prescription was ready. I have recommended Ohana to many people for their pets

I discovered Ohana in Torrance when my old clinic was sold and dealing with the new management was like pulling teeth without anesthesia. I am so glad I did. Everyone there is so wonderful. My German Shepherd dog was fearful at the old vets, but he has done a complete turn around and loves everyone at Ohana. Today my cat got sick and even though the staff was booked to capacity, they told us to bring her in immediately. I will never be able to thank them enough. Open minded, fair, very, very, very caring and an exceptional staff and vets. I thank every day that I found them.

The staff at my pup’s vet is wonderful. They take good care of my Puppy EVERYtime and are super trustworthy and gentle. Shout out to Brenda at the front desk, Roman and I think she’s great!

Love taking my dogs here. It's always fast and friendly! I almost lost my 6wks old pup but The vet Dr helped me get my sick 2.5lb puppy back to healthy and now a year later he's so healthy and strong!

I rescued my dog from a local pet adoption fair and was given a voucher for a free vet visit to be used within 7dys of the adoption. So I called this place because it was conveniently close to my house, confirmed that they would honor my voucher, and I was able to get an appt on the 7th day of my vouchers expiration date. However, when showed up for our appt they made a mistake somewhere and I was NOT on their schedule and was told the next available time they had was 2 more weeks out. I told them that my free voucher would be expired by then but the person helping me on the phone acknowledged that they made the mistake and was so nice she said that they would still honor my voucher because of the mishap. So two weeks later, we got there checked in (you have to call to let them know you’ve arrived and then wait in your car they’ll come out to you with further instructions) we waited outside in our car maybe 10 more min a girl came out with some paperwork we answered some basic questions abt our dog then she took our dog in to see the dr while we waited outside. Dr Shin came out to talk to us (unfortunately she told us he has skin cancer🥲) but she explained everything abt it in great detail answered all our questions she gave us great advice, tips, recommendations from the best dog food to pet shampoos and proper diet/exercise for our particular dogs situation. By the end of our visit we felt comfortable and she gave us a sense of hope. Dr Shin was the nicest vet I’ve ever met! She DID NOT rush at all like a lot of vets commonly do, even standing outside in the hot sun she smiled the whole time and didn’t leave until we were completely satisfied with the care we received. And I was very very satisfied with the care we received. Definitely recommend Ohana Vet Clinic to any pet owner out there

I'm a veterinary technician. I came in from out of state to take care of my father and his dog while he is in the hospital in critical condition. I was totally unaware of the fact that his dog was in congestive heart failure and had not been receiving the proper treatment for two years. When I realized she was in CHF I got in touch with her vet. Despite the fact that they did not have any appointments open they were able to fit me in as a walk-in the very next day. I had to wait a short time because I was not on the schedule - which is more than reasonable - but they kept me up to date and were very kind, understanding and professional. When a slot opened up to see my father's dog they took her back, examined her and the doctor came out to the car to talk with me about her condition. They did exactly the care I wanted, gave her the medication that she needed and provided me with all of the information and paperwork I might need to take her back to Florida with me if I need to in the event that my father is unable to care for her. The staff was extremely gracious and sweet, especially the receptionist, Brenda, who listened to my concerns and made every conceivable effort to help me with the situation. They were completely understanding of the fact that I was not on my father's account but needed to see to her care anyway in the state of emergency that I found myself. With everything in my life swirling out of control right now because of my father's illness it was such a relief to have something I needed go so easily. Thank you to everyone at Ohana for this experience. Being in the field myself I know the effort it takes to accommodate walk-ins, particularly right now during the pandemic. Stay well, make sure you all remember to self-care and resist compassion fatigue and remember that you are appreciated.

The facility is clean and well-lit, and the staff are both friendly and professional. The vets/ nurses always take the time to introduce themselves to our dog, which keeps her anxiety down. (She loves our regular vet and actually gets excited to see her.) We're able to have all our questions answered, and everything is fully explained before we're asked to sign or pay. We first visited this place after some miserable experiences at a different clinic, and although Ohana was slightly more expensive at the time (which may have changed), the whole process was so much less stressful that there was no question of which clinic we'd stick with.

Recently got a new puppy & was beyond scared where to take him specially during these times. I got recommended to the clinic next to this one but they were super unprofessional & never got back to me. I came in here from the beginning they were super helpful made me an appointment on the spot. Everyone was/is so welcoming. Due to the covid-19 they do have you waiting in your car & then they pick up your pet. Everything went smoothly & quickly. I recommend this place.

Dr. Uchima is wonderful! She has an obvious love for her patients! She gets on the ground and gives all kinds of attention to my dog! She loves her too. She is knowledgeable and answers all my questions. I don’t feel like we are rushed. Thee office staff are pleasant and helpful. You feel like Cohan’s here!
