Wife (Adrienne) was a patient for about 3 weeks. Emmy and Elaina were awesome nurses as was the rest of the nursing team. The care was good and the team was pretty helpful. The kitchen was great at taking care of our specific dietary quirks. Some of the doctors left something to be desired though.

Wamika Brewer was a Staff member at Kindred Hospital Paramount and was absolutely fantastic! She went the extra mile with Service and kindness for my sister when it matters the most. She went over and above with the patients that I saw and this is the kind of person that makes life in these difficult situations so much better! Fabulous fabulous woman!

My dad spent ~2 weeks at Kindred Paramount, after being discharged from Little Co Mary San Pedro. We were very hesitant to have him go to an LTACH because of the unknown. We were put in touch with Kamilah at Kindred to discuss options and what the level of care was like. She was patient and helped talk through all of our questions and concerns, and encouraged us to visit multiple other facilities (including Kindred South Bay). In the end, we selected Paramount and glad we did.
An LTACH is not an ICU or a level-1 trauma acute hospital, so you're not going to get the full level of staffing coverage as those facilities. However, the staff (nurses and therapists) were all very attentive, helpful and caring. If possible, I highly encourage family members to spend as much time at the hospital to advocate for your loved one by asking questions and making reasonable requests of the staff. They're likely to oblige. Seeing a doctor face to face was a challenge since they round at different times; the nurses were often able to get a hold of them via phone or text to get a hold of them. The team was appropriately aggressive to get my dad off of his trache and to remove as many unnecessary lines as possible.
The physical, occupational and speech therapists were excellent. They care and they push the patient towards recovery. The previous hospitals were conservative when it came to working with my dad, but the therapists at Kindred pushed harder (which was great).
Hospitals aren't pleasant, but Kindred Paramount helped make the best out of a challenging situation.
Side note: The staff helped get him admitted to the newly built Acute Rehab Unit in a separate wing of the same building. Everything is brand new here. I'll review it after his time there is complete.

My mother who has multiple medical issues, is a patient at this Kindred Hospital. We have had very few hiccups. My mother receives excellent care here. The Staff members are very attentive. They turn my mom every two hours. The Nursing and CNA staff are awesome! The specialty staff, Dialysis, Respiratory, OT, PT, Wound Care, Speech, Patient Advocate, Security and my Mom's Case Manager ALL are professional people, who handle my mom with the utmost care.. The facility is ALWAYS clean. This facility has a family environment. I recommend this location to anyone who has short or long term medical needs. I Love NP Salve.

The constant interaction and care with Ron and Olita throughout each day has been comforting. The level of care my dad was given in the ICU was impeccable. I appreciate the kindness and empathy given during such a delicate time. Seeing these individuals each day put a smile on my face, knowing they were strong advocates of the patients and families. Bless you! You both are angels!

Well first of all let me say that this place is on point. Professional, courteous, and clean! Onita the patient advocate has made my mom feel right at home and safe. It was the phone call that was given to the family just to see if there was anything my mom needed that really stood out for me. My mom has had impeccable care given by a team of dedicated, compassionate staff.

I want to take the time to thank a few of the hospital staff that were such an amazing group of people that helped with the process of my father’s passing. These people were, Onita Mitchell, Ronald Adams, Trevon Johnson, and Lisa Kamada. They stood by our side every step of the way and my family is very blessed to have met these loving people.

My father was transferred to Kindred from LB Memorial, where he was for a little over 3 weeks. As most families, we were VERY concerned about where he would go for long-term care. We scheduled a tour and from the moment our tour began, Onita was WONDERFUL. She gave us all of the information we needed to make the best choice for our Dad. Also, when the tour concluded, we had the pleasure of meeting Ron, the head of security. Together, their energy and charisma gave us the validation we needed in this process. Onita and Ron clearly understand the tasks of their jobs but for us, what made our father's stay here so pleasant was the way they humanized this experience for us and our family. Onita and Ron were personable, accommodating, and many times went above and beyond to ensure that our Dad was getting the best care possible. They also made sure that our mom was well taken care of the entire time. We can't express the gratitude we have for these 2 individuals in addition to a handful of others. Thank you Onita and Ron for supporting us in our greatest time of need!!
