10 stars to this hospital. First time to come to this wonderful hospital and first time ever coming to an ER. every one was very caring and made me comfortable. Waiting time was not long and was seen immediately by Dr. Justin who was a sweet heart and have the best bed side manners. Radiology department was great and the person who took me in gave me warm blankets to make me feel comfortable. My nurses Briana and Ann were super helpful and took care of me with so much care and compassion. Im glad I came to this hospital. Thank you all who helped me today.

This review is not meant to Invalidate other negative experiences/reviews some patients may have experienced. This review is based on what I experienced as well as some family members. A few months ago my father was brought in via Ambulance to UCI Health Lakewood. He was admitted right away and nurses and doctors quickly determined he was Sepsis and needed intensive treatment. My father was intubated and sedated and moved to the Critical Care Unit the next day. My father was never left alone during his time here and I witnessed all his nurses and doctors attentive to his care 24 hours of the day. I felt I had to write this review because the amazing Nurses and Doctors saved my father’s life. My father eventually required surgery for his gallbladder which the Surgeon did an excellent job. I will forever be thankful to UCI Health Lakewood and the entire healthcare professionals that contributed to saving my father's life. My father is back to his normal self and he is thankful to UCI Lakewood as well. Thank you CCU/ER team.

I cannot thank the staff of this hospital more. Especially NICK and Daisy who cared for my father on 2South. I can never express the gratitude I feel. This has been the most trying time of my life and it was made easier because of the compassion and understanding that was shown to me. It wasn't just nurses, everyone I encountered from security, valet, and of course his Dr...a beautiful German lady who's name escapes me! So sorry.
Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I had to bring a family member to the E.R. when they were visiting me from out of town. The entrance to the E.R. was kind of tucked away from the main part of the hospital and was easy to get into. The receptionist got him checked in right away and had a wheelchair brought out when he asked for one and told her he was having heart trouble. She had a nurse come and get him processed right away, ahead of the 5 or 6 people in the waiting room. I appreciated that everyone reacted with a sense of urgency, the way it should be with a cardio patient. The nurse was very empathetic and said he also has the same condition my relative has. He had a tech take his blood prssure and we were then ushered to a room soon after getting checked in. As soon as we got to the room, the "bees" descended - you would have thought my relative was a celebrity. There were 4 or 5 people buzzing around getting him set up with EKG monitors, IV, a wristband, and doing a blood test. While they were getting him all set up, the doctor on duty came by to ask him all of the pertinent questions, and determine the best course of action. She ordered a chest x-ray and medication, which were both administered within the next 20 minutes. Each of the nurses and the doctor would look over and check on him and his heart rate monitor every time they walked by our area. Everyone we encountered was friendly, professional, and attentive. The nurse who originally checked us in even stopped by at the end of his shift to see how my relative was doing and to wish him well. I hope I don't need to go to the E.R., but if I do, I won't hesitate to go to Lakewood Regional! It's very comforting to know we have such a good spot so close to our home! Thank you to the entire E.R staff at Lakewood Regional!

My wife had to go to the ER twice in the same week with Migraines and Nausea. Both times she was brought in without any delay by staff. Both times she was treated and released within a reasonable period considering the crisis of unhoused/uninsured that are increasingly dependent on Emergency Services for healthcare. She happened to get the same Doctor both times but he and support staff were thorough and consistent in keeping us informed and advised about what was going on. Extra thanks to the charge Nurses that supervised the action and got her treated and home as quickly as possible.
5 stars.

I’ve never been here until a few days ago! My neck and back was hurting really bad, they checked me and right away my name was called nurses doctors everyone was amazing down to admin. I was there two hours tops that’s only because they gave me a shot and some meds for my extreme pain. They didn’t let me leave until they made sure I can walk and I’m conscious and that the meds didn’t affect me. I thank you for your great services.

Lakewood Regional ER Team saved my life last week. If it wasn’t for the quick thinking of the Doctors, I wouldn’t be here today.

This hospital SAVED my life. I would give it 1000 stars if I could. I was in this hospital for 20 days. For a little over 2 weeks I was on life support. Dr WAZNI is AMAZING, caring, and professional; he coiled my brain aneurysm. I am almost 100% back to my normal functions. He has followed up with me a couple times already after I was discharged. The nurses are very sweet, especially Vangie, she asked a few times to be able to take care of me. I had a lot of different nurses and doctors take care of me, but I can’t remember everyone’s name as I was in coma some of the time.
On 12-31-2017, between 9-10pm I collapsed and my family called 911, the ambulance took me to Lakewood Regional Medical Center. I was bleeding in the brain from an aneurysm but no one could figure out what was wrong with me. Around 3 or 4am I woke up screaming my head is going to explode, am I going to die. They called Dr Wazni, who did a CT scan, discovered my brain was filling with blood and other fluids. They drained it right away. Then waited for my vitals to improve to do the coiling. One of the other doctors said I should go with open brain surgery, which would mean I would have a 25% chance of survival and I could lose certain functions forever. But, doctor Wazni was the one watching me and taking care of me from day one. He recommended coiling. My husband and sister felt most comfortable with doctor Wazni and opted for coiling. On 1-4-2018 he coiled my aneurysm, which took 3 and a half hours and had the hospital monitor me. They sedated me and put me in coma because I would wake up and want to pull my ivy and everything else off of me. I’m truly sorry for being a handful. They had to have someone sit out side of my room to monitor me 24/7. Apparently I had the aneurysm, which lead to seizures and me vomiting and fluid going into my lungs, and a heart attack. Sometime during my first week there, I had to have 2 blood transfusions.

I don’t remember doing or going through any of this. To my knowledge, I officially woke up and was coherent on 1-15-2018. My family and friends have filled me in of all that happened before me waking up. I woke up to Vangie calling me her miracle baby. By the time I woke up every staff member in the hospital knew who I was (even the security) and would look at me in aww that I made it!

I’m 41, I have 2 children, a 4 year old and a 10 year old. I am grateful that I can continue to be in their lives. I thank god for being taken to the right hospital for the right care and having Dr. Wazni be the one to operate on me.

Lakewood Regional, from the bottom of our hearts my family and I thank you for saving my life.

The picture is of me and doctor Wazni, 4 days after I was discharged from the hospital. I’m a SURVIVOR!

I had hip revision on Feb 6th Dr Wassah Jason and Carlos and the dr that zonked me for surgery all made me feel I was in great hand. Waking up in recovery I had things going on and they stayed by my side and told me what they were doing and made me warm and talked to me. Than when I got to my room the nurse I don’t k ow her name but I called her Mary poppins she came and made sure I was ok and I was so uncomfortable and she did everything to help me get a good night night Sleep I told I was so hungry and she went and found me something to eat at 3 am the whole time smiling while I could hear a man yelling horrible things to the nurse trying to help him If I did do my call button they came in soon she also came when I didn’t cause I was not able to sleep All I can say is my team of drs and nurses. All made me feel like they were there with me and for me. And I felt I was on a great team with them

just 2 weeks ago I had total hip replacement surgery at Lakewood Regional Hospital. The staff in orthopedic clinic are fantastic. The manager Lean Rangle is a beautiful person. The nurses and PT staff are patient and are always there to help. I recommend that a person needs any orthopedic surgery Lakewood Regional Hospital would be the best place to be.

I could give the hospital 6 stars because their have amazing service with my mom, doctors nurses everybody really nice, the only thing is that when I was going to check in, security lady at 12:30 7-3-2022 was taking forever she just have to check id and vaccination card, line was long and she let other people go before everybody I went to tell her and she gave me a ugly face and attitude, doctor pass by and asked if that was the line for visits I told her yes and she was like WOW, my. Cousin had only 1 hour to see my mom on her lunch time, it was no way, she was slow and she didn’t care just like that, but other then than everything inside 5 stars

I really liked this hospital. It was clean and the lobby was not full.
To enter you must show either proof of Vaccination or a Negative result (What i had) . The doctors are professional (at least the one my father had) the nurses are very helpful. They explained every procedure in detail. They had a translation service.
My father had knee replacement surgery and everything went well. His room was very clean.
Thank you Lakeview Hospital and Staff.

I discovered that I had hip dysplasia and not simple arthritis. Dr. Monazzam used the robotic surgery to save my mobility. He said my hip was really bad! The staff (98 percent) were friendly, helpful, kind and professional.
They gave good advice, answered questions and made sure my visit was positive. This is my first surgery ever.
I’d feel very comfortable going back. They also had spanish translators for my neighbor. Very considerate.

Had to go to the ER this morning for gallstone pain. I got there around 4:30am and was triaged and taken back to a room immediately. The nurses and doctors were extremely nice and attentive. I was taken to ultrasound within 45 minutes of being there! I was discharged around 7:45am and have to say I was extremely satisfied with my visit.

Great experience so far. Admitted for Colostomy reversal, the Nurses are quick to respond when called, very knowledgeable, the surgery went without any problems, unlike some experiences with other Hospitals in the past. All of the staff are hopefully, empowering, and quick to assist. Quite a blessing.
