Ambassador Long Beach Veterinary Hospital

I recently had the privilege of taking my Labrador-Pit Bull mix Sasha, and I couldn't be more grateful for the care we received. My dog required eye surgery, and the hospital went above and beyond to provide prompt and compassionate treatment.

Dr. Michael, the attending veterinarian, was not only highly skilled but also incredibly compassionate. They took the time to thoroughly explain the surgical procedure, its risks, and the expected outcome. Their expertise and genuine care instilled confidence in me and reassured me that my dog was in capable hands.

One aspect that truly impressed me was the hospital's commitment to providing immediate care. They understood the urgency of my dog's condition and managed to schedule the surgery for the same day.

Not only did they provided good care, but they also proved to be affordable without compromising quality. As a pet owner, finding affordable veterinary services that don't compromise on excellence can be challenging.

Ambassador has been our long term vet. They've seen us through many furry family members. They've always been kind and patient with our pets. Recently they performed an at home euthanasia on our beloved Sierra. They were really comforting in our time of grief. I can't imagine anyone else doing it. Thank you for all the years of care you've provided for our babies.

I'm so pleased with Ambassador Veterinarian!! They took such good care of my dog. The staff was so accommodating and kind. The doctors were very caring and professional. On May 29th, Memorial Day, we took our 8 year old lab, Shadow, in to Ambassador Vet as an emergency drop in. We can’t thank them enough. We found a very friendly office staff and we were seen quickly. Medical staff was knowledgeable, efficient, and communicative.
Our pet was shown the upmost care. Follow up calls by the vet were most welcoming.
We look forward to visiting Ambassador Hospital for our pet’s future needs. We highly recommend them.

We have considered the Ambassador Veterinarians and staff as family during our time in Long Beach. The love and care that was showed all our dogs and us over the past 6 years has been amazing and professional, especially during the challenging time of Covid. They always did their very best every time, and when 3 of our Dogs were at the end of life so much compassion was shown to us. And with our new addition Mia, even though she is a handful, they made her as happy and comfortable as could be. We will miss you as we move back to Texas and hope we find a vet as caring as you all have been. Especially Dr Black, we thank you so so much for your no nonsense approach and vast knowledge you we’re always so willing to take the time to share.

This is the ABSOLUTE BEST vet!! From the girls up front are so nice and helpful. And the vet and staff in back are so nice and very loving and kind to our dogs. If you’re looking for reasonable prices and good care and great service. I would highly recommend this vet.

Dr. Sam and his staff are wonderful-kind, compassionate, professional and knowledgeable. They saved my cat Fredo. I am forever grateful. I have referred them to several of my friends and will every opportunity I have.

First time visiting this facility. Emergency visit for our small senior dog having seizures. The staff was so nice and friendly. We saw Dr. Black who was kind, extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We couldn't be happier with the treatment our dog received.

I was reading through reviews, surprised too see many negative ones. I have been to his location several times with my own cats and even brought one that was feral. The staff are nice, sometimes beyond that (depending on person/personality) and straight to point. There have been 2 times there’s been slight miscommunication. First time was with a receptionist that was setting up my cat for vaccines and mentioned rabies. He did not need rabies vaccination because he had gotten it elsewhere. I think that may be more of a data entry issue though because I had already told them and provided the paperwork. Second time was when I was coordinating to pick up feral cat and there was a misunderstanding on when I would pick him up. But I know I said a lot of different days and times, so this may have caused confusion or maybe I needed up saying wrong thing. Regardless, they really worked with me to figure this out. Overall, I feel this is a really good vet hospital. Bills are always a bit pricey but considering the work that is done I think it’s very fair priced and I’ve been to others where they aren’t very friendly and super expensive. Plus, they accept care credit, which I’ve had to use few times now. This is the only place I consider taking my furry babies.

I highly recommend Ambassador. I have had nothing but great experiences with them. Marisol the manager is a special person. You can feel the love she has for her job, the pet she cares for the of course the pet parents. The staff at Ambassador do their best to keep our pets healthy and when the sad time time comes to say goodbye, Ambassador is very caring and sensitive. I truly appreciate everyone and all they have done for me and my pets.

My baby dog broke a leg and after calling many places I'm glad I came accross Ambassador they took us in same day as it was an emergency and prices were very low compared to others. They took care of my puppy right away and the service has been awesome. I will defenitely recommend this place as it truly shows their love for animals. After surgery when due for checkups they will ensure my baby was feeling calm before checking him ... that was a huge plus..... thank you all at Ambasador Hospital

My dog needed emergency surgery and they were able to take her in right away. Any time your pet is sick it is so stressful but the Dr. Black and the vet techs were so professional and really eased my nerves. It’s warm and inviting, not like other vet offices. The examination room I got had a nice table, not those cold, metal ones others have. This is my new vet for my Maltipoo and Golden Retriever. The prices are reasonable for the services they’re providing. Thanks Ambassador LB Vets and team!

We came to this vet hospital with great urgency. We were happy to find a vet that was open on a holiday. I called a lot of clinics and were closed. We took my two puppy chihuahuas without an appointment and didn't take long for them to be seen. While I was there, I saw that everyone cares about all fur babies and it's not about making money like other vet clinics that I've gone to for services.

Only been twice but the care and affordability were quite nice. I had a spay and hernia fixed in a cat. Friendly, with capacity and open 6 days a week for regular business and the 7th for boarding.

The service and care is unbelievable, I needed to bring my Bearded Dragon in today I check a couple things, they got me in within 24 hours. The reptile doctor was so knowledgeable and the bed side manor was unreal!! This will be my bet for now on, even if I have to drive a bit farther

I love that this place has extended hours, so I don't have to take off work to take care of my pet. They're very nice, thorough and informative. If there's nothing wrong or something that medication won't help, they say so - no charging for unnecessary services. We even got a free checkup because there was no treatment needed. They thoughtfully have a completely separate entrance / waiting area for cats and dogs. Precious and Dr. Sam are great with my skittish cat.

Never did I thought a trip to the vet would be such a pleasant experience. The staff is very nice, friendly, and attentive. The doctors are amazing! Love how they personally came to talk to my husband and I about any news... small or big! Never once did they send the staff over when it convenience them. Trust me when I say I do feel the love and hard work they dedicated to our fur babies, to make sure everything went well! 😺

My first experience with Ambassador Vet Long Beach was an emergent situation with my cat shortly after we moved to CA. Dr. Sam and the staff was incredible and took great care of my furry baby. My cat has been in several times since and he's always well cared for as am I. Dr Krietner has been fantastic too! I haven't needed to take our dog in yet but his turn is coming up and I have no doubt he'll have as great of care as his brother has had! I highly recommend Ambassador Vet Long Beach. The vets, staff and facility is top-notch. Getting in for an appointment is always convenient, as well.

We were referred to Ambassador a little over a year ago and we love have never been so happy. The staff is wonderful- very friendly and knowledgeable (thank you Arlene!). And Dr Jeffries is beyond wonderful. Very thorough, great with our cats and dog, and realistic about what we can and should do for our pets. He truly cares. It has taken us years to find a vet clinic we like and we LOVE Ambassador!
