I can’t say enough about the amazing team at BARC. My senior year old French Bulldog Kirby goes for physical therapy and acupuncture and they have provided top notch care. She recently had an IVDD flare up and bounced right back which I believe is due to the care she has received during preventative PT and accupuncture sessions. Everyone on staff is always so perceptive to her needs as they evolve. The entire team is also simply pleasure to talk with and have created a very positive environment. Thank you BARC!

I'd give a 10 star review if it was possible. My Milo has been coming here over a year. He's 14 with arthritis, gets physical therapy, underwater treadmill, and acupuncture. It's greatly reducing his pain and extending his life. The pic is only from 3 days ago. Wow. All of the employees are wonderful. He loves to go to BARC. I'm so grateful to have found this place. ❤❤❤

We have been taking our 6 year old Dachshund Oliver to BARC for a little over a year now. He was diagnosed with IVDD and had horrible bouts of pain that would reoccur every few months. Some of these episodes were extremely traumatic for us as they basically arose out of nowhere and really left us in a state of shock with no idea on what to do for our baby. I had heard from some other vets that acupuncture was very helpful for dachshunds with similar issues, that was how I initially discovered BARC as they offered this treatment. At our first appointment we discussed all of Oliver's daily habits, activity level, eating habits/diet, pain levels, movement et cetera. The one glaring characteristic was his eating habits, he would regularly skip meals, sometimes only eating a few bites of the dry food we were feeding him. We fed him ziwi peak dry food and many other dry food brands all to similar results, he just showed little interest in the food. His activity level was high, very playful, he moved well he just always had this eating habit of skipping meals and showing no interest in food. Dr. Voulgaris first advised we change his diet to Just Food For Dogs and try weekly acupuncture for pain. The change to JFFD made an IMMEDIATE difference. Oliver was now all of a sudden super food driven, he would finish every single meal, never skipping a meal. He still has never skipped a meal or not finished a meal to this day. This was such a stark change from his past eating habits. Oliver is a pretty nervous and shy dog so we were doubtful he would tolerate acupuncture but he handled it fine, first with us present, then later without us. We could not be happier with BARC, they have seriously changed our lives and helped Oliver regain a pain free life.

I take my senior (17.5yo) dog here every week, bc she deserves to be as comfortable as possible with whatever remaining time we have with her.

The staffs here are wonderful and has taken good care of her. With all the sessions and supplements that were recommended after evaluations, I have noticed improvements. Not like "she has puppy energy again", but more peaceful, calm, regaining of some appetite, longer awake periods, and a little more mobility.
Mind you, she still sleeps more than she walks, but my goal is to make sure she has quality life, and BARC is a regular part of it.

PS. (A bit obvious, but I'm going to mention it anyway) I recommend that you research and make sure that you are able to afford their service. And if you decided to go regularly, I recommended getting the (10 session) package deal. It's not cheap, but amount is less than if you pay for 10 sessions one at a time.

The people here are so tuned into the animals. My boy fell asleep during treatment. The greeting you get when you walk in the door is so warm. The vet tech ...he is so kind to the dogs. The doctors are so understanding and they explain every step of the treatment. Laser, Acupuncture, Full Measures on the consultation! No skipping to save money and no BS.....I was recommended to another Dog Rehabilitation in Orange County and I regret that I bothered with them. This establishment and the staff here washed away that last experience at the place in OC and I now have hope again for Chase to recover faster! B.A.R.C gave me.homework to do at home and hands on instructions on how to massage Chase and stretch and ice him every night! LOVE THEM!!!

I cannot praise Beach Animal Rehabilitation Center enough for the incredible care and support they provided for my furbaby, Romeo. His journey has been marked by various challenges, and it is the exceptional team at this center, particularly Dr. Amy Kramer, who plays a pivotal role in his recovery.

Romeo's story is a testament to the dedication and expertise found at this facility. Approximately seven years ago, he faced severe spinal issues that led to surgeries and complex treatments. Despite numerous setbacks, including medicine-induced Cushing's and paralysis, Dr. Kramer took on the challenge with unwavering commitment.

Dr. Kramer, Romeo's physical therapist, has been nothing short of amazing. Her approach goes beyond the conventional, always going above and beyond to ensure Romeo received the best possible care. I am immensely grateful for her support, expertise, and the genuine care she exhibited throughout the years.

What truly sets this rehabilitation center apart is their holistic approach to animal care. From physical therapy sessions to emotional support, they address every aspect of the pet's well-being. The dedication to staying updated on the latest techniques showcases their commitment to providing top-notch care.

The progress Romeo made under their guidance left both me and his neurologist speechless. The results have been nothing short of miraculous, with Romeo not only walking again but also persevering with his treatment.

The team's encouragement and support were invaluable during what seemed like overwhelming times. Their belief in the potential for recovery and their dedication made the rehabilitation process smoother than I could have ever imagined.

To anyone facing similar challenges with their pets, my advice is simple: don't give up. Seek support from professionals who genuinely care, just like the remarkable team at Beach Animal Rehabilitation Center. Their commitment, expertise, and compassionate approach make them an exceptional choice for anyone seeking the best possible care for their family members (furbabies).

Thank you, Dr. Kramer, for being a beacon of hope and healing for Romeo and countless other animals. Your exceptional care and dedication have made a significant difference in our lives, and we are forever grateful. Romeo and I have been excited for his treatments every week for the past couple of years, and that excitement continues strong today!

P.s. Big thanks to the fantastic team of vets, vet techs, managers, and front desk staff!

Our beloved boy Briggs (12 year old, 80 lb Labrador Retriever) had two surgeries for herniated disks. Two in his neck and two in his lower back. Beach Animal Rehabilitation Center (BARC) was recommended to us by his back surgeon, Dr. Wayne Berry from Southern California Veterinary Hospital. You couldn't ask for a better group of people to help with the rehabilitation of your pet. Everyone there is wonderful and treat you and your pet like family. Briggs worked with everyone there. He had acupuncture, laser therapy, physical therapy and water therapy. They are all top of their game at BARC. We have since recommended them to several friends, coworkers and dog rescues. If you are looking for top quality care by people who will love your pet as their own, this is the place to go. I just cannot say enough good things about them.

I'm one of the most dedicated dog owner's you'll meet. My rescue Nala has multiple different health issues including Hip Dysplasia. BARC is phenomenal and I 100% recommend it.

Jaime - thank you for always trying to accommodate schedules and being so great to communicate with!

Christina - I couldn't have asked for a better person to work with Nala. Thank you for being compassionate, caring, firm when you need to, and overall just incredible at what you do.

Everyone at this location is simply great. Erin the PT always makes sure I know how Nala is progressing - thank you!!

They are so much professional. Especially, Amy, she is the one who made my baby walk. I am so happy because I could find this place and met them. My baby couldn't stand up and normal vet doc recommended to put her down... We tried them with last hope. And they made her walk. It took only 1 month. Just one month! You should try them before you gave up on your fur baby. I strongly recommend them. Thank you Amy and Docters and kindly staff!

I would like to thank Dr. Amy for the AMAZING rehab work she has done with my 9 yr old Maltese! When I brought him in I was sure we were headed to knee surgery for a torn ACL. He was completely non-weight bearing on his back leg. He had really locked up his back leg to the point where we could not even test for a torn ACL. His front shoulder was also extremely tight and was sensitive to touch, from walking like a tripod and carrying additional stress because of the injury. After following her recommended protocol of physio, stretching and walking, he began his recovery. Now 6 months later, I am so happy that we have a resource like BARC as my boy is back to a happy, active pup! He is no longer sensitive to pets on his neck and back, and has regained his leg strength and is running and playing and can even go up the steps to the bed on his own! We have been parking the stroller as he likes to walk on his own now!
The physio was well worth the $ !

The most wonderful PT clinic/Rehab center ever!! I cannot say enough about this place - Dr. Kramer is the most compassionate, knowledgeable, loving, caring, intelligent, interactive and wise professional I’ve ever met!! She is the BEST PT EVER, and has been the catalyst for the many countless miracle recoveries that I’ve had the pleasure of witnessing first hand at this most amazing clinic! ALL of the PT Assistants, Veterinarians, Aides, and support Staff that work here are true hero’s in my eyes, and in my dog, Willow’s eyes as well! Willow went to BARC not being able to walk, struggling to even stand up, struggling to breathe, and not having control of her bladder. In the 2+ months that she has been receiving PT and acupuncture treatments there weekly, she has improved leaps and bounds and can now walk for over a block, is completely continent, and is breathing normally, sleeping normally, and is the happiest I’ve ever seen her! She is continuing to get stronger and build her endurance and we can’t thank the angels at BARC enough for enhancing Willow’s life, and in turn, brightening up our lives as well!

I just want to start off by saying BARC has taught me so much. Don't think surgery is the only way, there is always other options, have patience you'll be surprised.

My 3 year old boy suffered from a partial cruciate tear and was told he needed surgery, but luckily our vet suggested alternative healing and sent us to BARC. A month later with therapy we graduated! We are so grateful to have Dr. Amy and her facility located close by. We continue with underwater treadmill. My boy is Mr. Muscle Man he loves it, and I have noticed a difference with him from this.

All the staff at BARC are lovely and are truly amazing at what they do. My boy is very happy and comfortable around each and every member of BARC, (which is very important to me). He enjoys coming here, we treat it like his gym!

Everyone who helped out was encouraging, friendly and never rushed us. They let us stay by his side and showed me how to continue therapy at home. I can't explain how thankful and relieved I am (and Angelo is) with how much BARC has helped us get back on our feet and paws.

A special thank you to Dr. Amy for introducing us to the tasty "juice" for a bit of calming time!

Everyone at this facility has been awesome. Josh takes care of Bonnie and Clyde and pays close attention, Dr. Voulgaris is great with both of them. My gf convinced me that they are the best and I see that they their customer service. Kat, has been amazing with Bonnie and Clyde, she gives kisses and loves them as if they were their own. I would recommend anyone who wants an opportunity at rehab if surgery cant work.

I came to the center with my doberman to assess some behavioral issues she has been having. We met with Dr. Deb and she was amazing with my dobie. She explained to me a plan of supplements and care to help my doberman with anxiety as well as frustration. What I loved most about our meeting was Dr. Deb explained the possibilities of WHY this behavior could be occurring and solutions to get to the root of the issue verses just prescribing medication to treat an issue. The best way I can explain it if you would go to a doctor with a headache, they would typically prescribe you tylenol etc, instead of possibly taking the time to figure out what is causing the headaches. Getting the tylenol is just a bandaid but not necessarily helping to prevent further headaches. I think figuring out the why is more important than treating the what and that is exactly the way Dr. Deb approached our meeting.
I am very nervous about leaving my doberman anywhere. She has never boarded, gone to a daycare and I rarely leave her with anyone other than myself or close friends to take care of. After meeting with the staff at the center, I could see and experienced first hand their vast knowledge and understanding of animal behavior. My doberman gave subtle signs of being nervous during our initial exam, and they had such an ease with addressing her, catering to her and making her feel comfortable. I look forward to her appointments and the ease I have leaving her in their care is something I never thought I could experience after owning her for 7 1/2 years. The facility is filled with wonderful people like Dr Amy and the ENTIRE team. They are genuine, caring and down-to-earth and not to mention the center is beautiful, bright, clean and welcoming. I truly believe I found a gem when I stepped through the doors at Beach Animal Rehabilitation Center.

These people take such good care of my nervous dog. They never force him to do anything and always give him lots of love. We've only been for a initial assessment, two physical therapy sessions, and one acupuncture, but he's already moving around so much better.

More places like this should exist. If you have a dog with any physical pain, you should immediately take them there. 75$ for 30 minutes of treatment is pricey but is worth it! I have been taking my senior Chihuahua with severe apinal issues for over a year now
