Beach Cities Cycle

I've been going to this shop for 6 years, since I moved to Redondo Beach. Unfortunately, the owner and his family are closing the shop starting today and moving out of state, due to opportunities elsewhere and the poor state of retail and the bike industry.

Get in while you can and buy a bike or inventory at a discount and say bye to a South Bay institution. I'll miss their knowledge, humility, and good attitude.

I drove here from Santa Ana because it was the only store around that had the bike i was looking for. I noticed this place is really busy. Which to me is a good sign it shows that people prefer them especially since there is several bike shops in the proximity. I came in and the lady greeted me and asked if i needed help. She showed me the different options they had. Her husband came and showed me the bike. He tried telling me i was choosing the wrong size bike because i was too short for a large, but i knew what i wanted so i chose a large, im sure he was just looking out for my best interest. I ended up choosing the large size frame. The price was right, and customer service was good. They offer a free tune up with any bike purchase. They also give a warranty for bike. Overall i recommend this place good customer service. Good prices good inventory. It was worth the 25 min drive

Really appreciate the knowledgeable service. Super down to earth and nice people. The owner seems passionate about biking and running a good local business too. Not corporate feel at all, which works for me real good. I had them do some tuning and tube replacements. Perfectly done and at a very reasonable cost. And Today we bought a nice new BMX bike for my son. Very happy customer

Been going to this place for almost 30 years, well my parents have and it's amazing. Bought my mountain bike here maybe 6 years ago and it was a fantastic fair priced bike, unfortunately it got stolen while in college right out of my house! Really sucked cause that bike was amazing.

The service and staff are very friendly and willing to bring down whatever you need.

Appreciate the time they give when I am very indecisive about what bike or style I like. The owner Brian is so helpful and nice on giving great advice on the different technologies that bikes have to offer as well as not push you to get a crazy expensive bike. Used to go to the Hermosa location before they left, and finally made my way to their new location on Anza/190th near the 99 cent store and everything is still awesome.

I'm a first time buyer for a road bike and Brian was extremely helpful and made the process a breeze. I ended up going with the Giant TCR Advanced 2 which was just in my price range. It's an amazing bike and I took it for a 35 mile spin last night! Brian helped me get sized for the bike and let me ride around on some others he already had built to make sure we ordered the correct one. When I went into the store to pick it up he had it all built and ready for me and we only needed to make small adjustments. Extremely knowledgeable and supportive, even for beginners. Won't try to upsell you on anything. Just tell him what you are looking to do with your new bike and your price range and he will take care of all the rest. You won't leave disappointed! Highly recommended.

I love this family-run business. Genuinely nice and helpful people, Brian (the Dad) took the time to show me around and educate me about the different bikes. Two weeks later I came back and their son set me up with a great bike while his mom played with and helped my 4-year-old ride around the store testing out all the kid bikes. Im a helicopter Dad, so it was nice I could get all my questions answered without distraction. Thanks for all your help, guys. Customer for life!

They helped my daughter find a new bike. They were very helpful and knowledgeable. They were also able to replace the tube on my wife's bike. Would definitely use this store again for any bicycle needs.

Excellent service and staff is very knowledgeable. Brian built a rear wheel and replaced a broken spoke in my front wheel quickly. Great friendly local bike shop. Highly recommended!!

I've been dealing with Beach Cities Cycle for over 20 years. I've purchased high-end road and and mountain bikes for myself, and several bikes for my daughter. They do all the work on all 5 of my bikes, and I've never had a problem they wouldn't gladly fix. Their service and quality of work has been exemplary.

Brian was great and knowledgable in helping make a decision on what bike I should get. While I was waiting for him to finish tuning my bike up I could tell he had a great relationship with all his customers. I am new to the cycling world but could already tell I will be returning.

They had a really nice selection! Really cute bikes, practical bikes, and what I found most important was super helpful staff! I came in looking for something specific, and they helped me find it and set the extra pieces up on the bike for me before I left (lights, basket, etc). Would definitely recommend this spot!!

Brian and his staff are some of the best in the south bay. I am bummed that they had to move from their great spot on PCH (which was conveniently around the corner from my house) but Brian and Beach Cities Cycle's expertise, honesty and friendliness are the reason that I will travel over to their new spot for all my repairs and cycling needs.

Took my electric beach cruiser in for repairs; repairs were nicely (and expertly) done. Brian and Janet were very friendly. I will return for future repairs and maintenance. Highly recommended!

Brian was in when I came by to pick up some clipless pedals for a mountain bike I was renting. He sold them at a fair price and swapped them out for me on the spot. He asked if I knew the area (I didn't since I'm visiting from Chicago) and took a lot of time to go out of his way detailing a turn-by-turn route I should take to hit all the best trails Palos Verdes had to offer. As I was leaving he gave me his phone number to call in case I got lost so he could redirect me back to the right trails.
Followed his recommendations and couldn't have had more fun! Great set of trails with bomber downhill single track and a great coastal trail on top of the bluffs. I would send anyone to Brian for cycling supplies or for advice on trails or buying a new bike from him. Great service and value!

Great shopping experience. Took the time to understand our needs, let us test ride bikes in the back parking lot. Included assembly and free same day delivery. Couldn't be happier.

Love this place me and all my BMX friends go here and we get our bikes fixed right away! I love how the people that work there are kinda hippyish no offense but they sure know what they are doing, This bike shop is much better than any other in the southbay
