Funky Sofa

This is the first review I have ever posted, but I wanted to give a positive shout-out to Funky Sofa. I have ordered from them twice in the past 6 years - first the Marilyn, and just recently the Montana - and have had a terrific experience both times. Personally, I have never encountered any issues with their customer service and have found everyone I spoke with to be pleasant and responsive. The quality and construction of the sofas is excellent, (the one purchased 6 years ago has held up very well with lots of use), and their prices are extremely competitive for pieces that are so fun and unique. Plus, it felt good purchasing from a small, independently-owned manufacturer. The first sofa I ordered took about 6 weeks to arrive, and am hoping this second one will be about the same. I can't wait to see it! I have definitely referred them to friends, one of whom did place an order and also had a great experience, and will continue to refer them in the future.

At first I was hesitant to order a sofa online. But! It has arrived and I love it....the fabric is luxurious and the detailed quality of craftsmanship is excellent. The customer service when placing the order and throughout the ordering and delivery process was great....all my questions and revisions were handled in a timely and professional manner, making me and my inquiries both feel welcomed. Luxury and unique style at an affordable price! I love my new sofa!

My wife and I made our first online furniture purchase through Funky Sofa. We ordered the Ellwood Sofa in Caribbean Plush Velvet. It is a very cool retro couch. Upon completion of order, the turnaround time until it was delivered to our door was very quick. The packaging it came in was very sturdy and protected the piece well. The price was VERY reasonable considering the quality and craftsmanship that went into it! We would definitely recommend Funky Sofa to a friend and will consider them for our next furniture purchase!

I'm really thrilled with my beautiful Skye love seat hidabed. I've had it about a month now. I got it in purple and even customized the front panels with goldenrod and the edges with dark purple (crushed velvet) piping. Where in the world can you get a custom funky sofa? I wish I could put a picture here it's so adorable. I didn't sweat it about the timing. Hello. It's custom made. That takes time! So what if it's a bit longer than the website says. Chill! Everything works perfectly and the fabric is great! In the last month I've run into two other folks that bought furniture from Funky sofa. One here in the Seattle area where I live, and one in Santa Barbara, CA. They are also happy with the pieces they bought!

I just received my sofa and armchair from Funky Sofa and I LOVE THEM!!! I searched high and low to find some "fun" furniture to replace my bright blue sofa and chair that wore out. I also needed to find something that was small enough to fit my living room, and made of fabrics that were at least somewhat resistant to pet hair and nails. As if that wasn't enough to ask, I also wanted to find some bright colors/fun prints that could work with my wild-colored walls. AND I needed it to be affordable!

After weeks of searching locally and online the obvious choice was Funky Sofa. I ordered the Marilyn sofa in purple microsuede, and the Desilu chair in wild pony. The customer service (Sherri) was great and responsive and gave me suggestions for fabrics and matching pillows, and they even put up with me paying with about 5 different gift cards. They also held up the order for me so it wouldn't arrive until I got back from a trip.

Now it's here and I'm so happy with it! Just be aware that if you order the Silver Touch delivery service (I think it's called) they only bring the boxes into your room and put them where you want them--they don't unpack them. And make sure your doorways can accommodate the size of the box, which is quite a bit bigger than the furniture itself.

Great selection, great service, great quality. What more can I say?

I just ordered the Montana Sofa with crushed blue velvet, extra wide, single cushion with reversible fabric, and chrome legs. I am very excited to get my new couch, and will probably spend my time beholding the beauty of it and stroking the velvet. It is so hard to find the type of fabric FunkySofa provides on a couch, especially at such a reasonable price, and with other customizable options. Their sales staff is very friendly, and I'd highly recommend purchasing from them.

I purchased a lovely 360 lounger in purple plush velvet from FunkySofa and I love it. It really gives my house a funky cool vibe. I plan to order the Orbital loveseat in a cheetah print soon. Delivery was fast and they even took away all the wrapping and put it in the living room for me.

Thank you for my beautiful new Garbo sectional! I was skeptical to buy furniture online but saw that you guys had good reviews and had been in business over 15 years. I love my new sectional and look forward to buying a matching loveseat from you guys soon.

I ordered the Jazz sleeper sofa and am waiting its arrival. I also emailed customer service about clearance or sale items and the rep was very helpful. I will probably place a second order.

My wife came across this website and we both fell in love with all of the really cool funky furniture we saw. Definitely love the ability to customize the furniture with some really cool enhancements and the online help was a great feature to discuss about furniture prior to purchase.

The response from the team was timely and the information I was provided was very detailed. I've recieved swatches and they were absoultely beautiful. My shopping experience was completely positive and I am also happy that it's an American company.

I originally bought a Garbo sofa. I liked it so much that I purchased a second Garbo sofas. Funky Sofa offers the coolest couches I have found after hours of web surfing for anything closes and this is definitely the coolest furniture.

I am amazed at the level of service given (Jack)..I called inquiring about the optional contrast piping which not listed as an option online, not only was Jack friendly and extremely helpful he went over and beyond by partnering IT to update the online options and emailed me additional information regarding warranties and promotions!

I ordered Manhattan sectional sofa and four 360 loungers on July 12, and they were delivered second week of September. I paid, I believe $40 extra on the couch and $40 apiece for each of 2 of the loungers, for "chrome legs" which did not appear chrome, but plastic with silver paint over them. Also, the loungers did not even have legs on them, so why I could even pay extra for chrome legs, I am not sure. I ended up taking off the legs that came on the furniture and purchasing new legs to put on. Also, the couches and chairs were very low to the ground, so that I was afraid my parents and grandparents wouldn't be able to get out of them, so another reason for putting higher legs on all the furniture. On the positive, all pieces are comfy and unique. My husband thinks the Manhattan sectional in silver leatherette looks cheap. I liked it, though several threads are hanging off on the seams. As well, there are black zippers on all the pillows, which doesn't look that nice. I don't know why zippers couldn't be better hid or matched to the fabric. The canary yellow microfiber loungers also look nice, and no threads hanging loose on those, but still has the black zippers on the pillows. Also, beware that delivery does not include inside delivery, and when I asked the delivery company if I could pay extra to arrange for inside delivery, they told me the manufacturing company wouldn't allow it.

Sofa was fine, but they use sub-optimal shippers, that were extremely hard to work with. In my case, I scheduled a drop off time at my house twice, and they didn't meet either drop off time. Ended up delivering close to 8 o'clock at night, with packaging ripped. Sofa was scuffed and had to sent back to be cleaned. Contacting shippers and Funky Sofa was impossible because at delivery time, both offices were closed. Would not order from them again.

I have wanted to buy a funky sofa for literally a decade. Recently I finally got the perfect opportunity so I ordered some fabric samples. The order was canceled but I was never notified that it was canceled. I finally figured it out by accidentally downloading the Shop app which somehow knew about the order. Then I used the chat on their website to ask and got zero reply. Next I emailed them, and still got zero reply. Finally I called them, talked to someone who said she would find out and let me know, but guess what…zero reply. Whoever is in charge of customer service at this company needs to be fired. I have no idea how good the furniture is and honestly I don’t care to find out. I’m not risking several thousand dollars with a company that doesn’t have the decency to return an email. Sooo disappointed!

Update.. today I received the second set of samples that I ordered. I paid $1 per sample. Please look at the size of the samples in the picture and tell me if that looks appropriate or not. The purple velvet is barely bigger than a penny.
