I come here in the mornings after dropping my kid off to school. I began working out here in my 2nd and some of my 3rd trimester of pregnancy. The coaches are professionals and this gym is not just for boxers, but for athletes of all sports or even those who don't play a sport. I am currently taking a break as I am in my final stretch of pregnancy. I do plan on going back, and maybe even enrolling my kids for some lessons.

Jackrabbit Boxing Academy is not an honest business. I purchased a day pass for a beginner boxing class a week ago. After the online purchase, it said on the website that I would receive an email, which I never did - red flag #1. Mind you, the times they offer for the day pass don't even match the times on their "calendar." The calendar stated that the beginner boxing course started at 4 pm. I went to the boxing gym 30 minutes early, although I had not received the confirmation email. The gym was flat-out closed. A kid came out and told me the gym would open at 5 pm, leading one to believe the calendar is inaccurate and needs to be updated - red flag #2. I sent an email to the gym's email to let them know what happened and give them a chance to rectify the situation or at least give me a refund. Almost a week, and still no response - red flag #3. This gym is bogus and has lost a potential recurring customer. Buyer beware!!!

This gym was a terrible disappointment. I signed up for a month of boxing lessons and was manipulated into a year contract that I didn’t want. I asked for a month-to month, while I explored the sport of boxing, but they refused. I should’ve walked away. It became very clear in my first boxing lesson, I was cheated.

After arriving on time for my first lesson, I sat there until the owner asked me who I was waiting for. He texted the coach to let him know and 25 minutes later, the coach finally showed up. The coach Joe was late every single lesson and ghosted me on 3 of them.

On my final lesson, of which he told me he had a phone call to take, and he would have to reschedule, I decided enough was enough. As I walked to my car, I witnessed a few young men with a weapon. It wasn’t pointed at me, but still it was very alarming. I knew this was a sign to never return.

And, two years later, still they harass me for the money. Word of caution here, find another gym to workout at. There are plenty of boxing facilities that have stellar coaches that actually show up for their clients on time.

Horrible gym. Horrible owner. He’s a misogynistic, scam artist. Don’t waste your money or time here! Whole place is a fraud & a scam! Dude can’t even hold the pads properly.
