Alvarado Elementary School

I miss being at Alvarado. We all have good times. I appreciate the teachers I had there. All the teachers I had were all my favorite. I wish I could still be at Alvarado. It the part of growing up and learning new things. I can't choose who was the best teacher because they all were. I was at Alvarado for seven years and I never got tired of it.😃💔😪

It a small neighborhood school. It’s okay. The teachers and staff are friendly. I just don’t understand all of that CORE stuff but my daughter always looks forward to going to school. Some of the lunch ladies are NOT that friendly though and on a power trip. Also lots of student activities and after school events.

I have 3 girls that are going or have gone to Alvarado in the recent years and until 2017.

Past Leadership was second to none in any school thanks to Dr. Brett Geithman. Current Principal - Ms. Lucy Salazar is not the same level and caliber at Dr. Brett but she works hard. There is a saying, you get what you pay for, if you want excellence you need to hire someone like Dr. Brett.

He started each day greeting every student on the curb as the parents dropped their little ones off.

He has lead by example and runs a great ship. I am a big fan of his work and the staff that work for him. He is on the way to running things at better school districts that are willing to pay.

My granddaughter went there for kindergarten. Had a wonderful teacher.
In first grade now, teacher isn t good.
The principal isn t on top of situations, like she should be. Very disappointed in this school.
