Since it became necessary for me to have a heart catherization and a coronary angiography, my family and I met with Doctor James Matchison for more detailed information about the risks and benefits of such a procedure. This meeting could not have been more friendly and the explanations by the Doctor of what the risk were and the benefits were completely satisfying. I like to mention that the meeting started right on time. Unusual these days.
The suggested procedure was successfully done at TMMC hospital without any complications and to my completely satisfaction. I am writing this to convey my gratitude and my thanks to Dr. Matchison and his team. I could not have asked for a better and friendlier treatment.
I also like to to express my thanks and gratitude to the nurse at TMMC who take care of me after the procedure. I am afraid I did not get her came, It was something like Gigi, Dr Mathison knows her and he promised to forward my thanks to her.
I do not want to miss to also express my thanks to the very friendly receptionists at the COR office who checked me in.

Dr. Matchison performed the TAVR procedure on my sister and did an amazing job. He was very thorough in explaining the procedure and called me as soon as they were done. He came by early the next day to check up on my sister and, again, was very courteous and professional. I am so grateful to him and the entire heart team at Torrance Memorial. They are true miracle workers.

Dr. Matchison always explains things pertaining to my health in terms which are easy to understand and answers all questions. Staff is wonderful!

We have been seeing Dr. Matchison for almost ten years and he has never failed us. During our last visit, he again was thorough in assessing my mom’s condition and directing us towards the next steps as to what should be done to improve her heart health. His assistant, Gabbie, was kind and very helpful when my mom was nervous and in an anxiety mode. In general we have been very happy and satisfied with his practice and COR staff.

Dr. Matchison's office is now providing patient care via video teleconferencing. It proved to be an excellent method for me to access his competent care - very convenient. It was as though we were face to face in his office. He had my test results at hand, and the interchange was short and sweet. He answered my questions clearly and concisely. ~10 minutes of my time, as opposed to say 1-2 hours including driving time. This method could/should be used by most physicians from now on for many appointments. And I hope that they are adequately compensated for doing so. Perfect!

Dr. Matchison was my father's cardiologist and has become mine because of the advice and care he gave during my dad's condition. My own recent appointment with Dr. Matchison was excellent as he listened intently to what I said and concern for my own health. He checked and became aware of my health history, key blood work results and advised a future test to be done with results leading to the next steps to help my cardiovascular system to stay healthy.

Office staff was well organized, respectful, and friendly. Dr. Matchison had excellent bedside manner, was thorough and concerned, and gave me all the time I needed.

Dr. Matchison is always courteous and friendly when we visit, When he examines the patient and reviews the lab work of the patient, it is at a nice pace, explaining as he goes along. As always, a very satisfying office visit.

I was very satisfied with my encounter with Dr Matchison.. His friendly and caring demeanor made me feel comfortable immediately. He answered all my questions completely and left me feeling confident about my condition and the options open to me.

Dr. Matchison and his assistant Gabby are wonderful and so caring. We are grateful to have such an excellent cardiologist like Dr. Matchison who knows exactly what to do!! We could not be in better hands!! My mom at 93 with a pacemaker adores him!!

Dr.Matchison is an Excellent and very humble Cardiologist. He took very good care of me; during and after my cardiac cath. and stent placement.. He has excellent people skill and I am very lucky and fortunate to have him as my cardiologist. He deserves the best rating possible. He is the best of the best.

Dr Matchison takes care of my 97 year old father. He always gives him a good exam while throwing in a little humor while they banter back and forth. This visit my dad was suffering from the virus that's going around so he answered all my questions about his care. Not only did my father feel better leaving the office but I did too. My father is now 99 and Dr Matchison is still taking care of him. With Dr. Matchison's guidance he is still enjoying life.
