Redondo Beach Animal Control

Dispatch was able to get here very quickly to pick up an injured gull. The capture was quick and efficient. The gull is now on its way to a sea bird rescue in San Pedro. Thank you so much!

I personally have always found Animal Control to be amazingly helpful and kind. They have helped us with complaining Neighbors about our three dogs that do occasionally make dog noises, as well as other animal control issues. I have found the staff to be supportive and considerate.

Don’t expect help for ducks with ducklings. Marine Animal Rescue referred me to Redondo Beach Animal Control for help with a mallard and her brand new ducklings near my garage. I was concerned because we are two very large, busy roads away from water. The woman on the phone was very curt and condescending, telling me that they don’t rescue in this situation because the mother will fly away. She then said that she would call me back. She did call back, and was much nicer this time, but she fed me a bunch of lies about how the duck and ducklings don’t need to find water, the mother will take care of the ducklings until they can fly, they will return to the nest, and the duck has a “husband” waiting for her. None of this is true. The duck and ducklings have now left, and I sit here knowing that the majority of this new family will likely be snatched up by cats or hit by cars before they ever make it to Polliwog Park.

They suck, been waiting an hour for them to get this sick racoon from my backyard. They said they don't know how long it will be, meanwhile the poor animal is suffering.

Was referred by a hospital to call this animal control and when I did, they refused to let me drop off an animal because I wasn’t in their city. I clarified that I wasn’t calling for a pick up as I just wanted to drop it off because I felt awful letting the animal suffer alone on the side of the street. The man on the phone stated now that he knew of the situation and knew I wasn’t in redondo beach that if i even attempted at dropping off the animal, he would automatically refuse me. everyday i’m reminded how much better animals are than humans & it’s just awful how in time of need and sickness there’s never a safe space to drop off an animal. shame on this place & shame on the entire system.

Unhelpful as hell even when you are just trying to get information on where to take lost dogs. The lady on the phone was extremely rude and difficult.
