Great place ive been there

I must say that I like the school, they are pushing the students to be better they are also teaching them to work harder. To the lady that said that they don't let the kids play on the playground, they do they want them to be aware of their surroundings and to pay attention to what they are doing. They can't do that if they are always running. My only concern is the office staff. Sometimes I think they pass judgment on some people which I think needs to be worked on. it can cause people to feel less important than others. And my other issue is picking up and dropping off my child. I think there need to be a pick up and drop off zone. Trying to drop my kid off in the morning is a nightmare on Lime street. but other then that my daughter is in the second grade and I think her teacher Ms. Morales in room 24 is a great teacher for my child. she try to think of creative ways to motivate the student. and I love that she make is important for the child to understand that the parent and the teacher are on the same page. I know my child is a hand full and I think Ms. Morales for taking the time and having the patients to work my child. It is much appreciated 5 stars for Ms. Morales

i am a former student 1986 graduate my daughter now attends Stevenson i love the energy the school has i have not really acquainted my self with new principal but the last principal Mr Zaid he really knew how to get the kids excited on the Friday morning presentation , I miss that. overall in my daughter time i have seen them Give bikes to the 3rd graders . they have Help me help you program at the school 1st and 3rd Friday of the month also the kids on the list Got free backpack ,school uniforms ,and supplies . the school also has a room to buy used 50 cents books . staff and teachers are a great team . my only issues are when the kids get out of the school i feel its a mess to get in and out they should have one side to enter the other side to exit in the front . I also don't like the near by locals down the street at the hotel looks like temp housing for sex offenders . thank goodness the school now has the gate locked, the safety of our children is important . ps The kids eat free breakfast and lunch . plus they have a great YMCA program .

This school i do not like. They are all in your personal life. Education is not the main focus. Your home life is more important then books. The principal is never available, he is always in a meeting with "students" he is always off site. I have never met a principal so unavailable. I cant wait until my child is done with this school. The office staff i can go on and on. But unprofessional, she thinks she the principal. She is not organized, not friendly, not nice. Always reaching in your personal life. She tells you half of the rules they ones she wonts you to know. The stuff on the playground are rude, their nice to some kids not all, For the most part the teachers are so so. The work and homework is basic nothing hard. Kids cant really play on the playground the have to walk.
