Redondo Beach Building Department

The Redondo Beach Building Department has saved us at Cresta Mobile Park.
The owner and management company for this senior citizen park are breaking ordinances, trying to do major electrical work without permits. They are basically not caring about those who live here.
When arrogant property owners and management companies go against the safety, health and welfare of seniors, working slow to make sure people like the owners of this park don't endanger us makes basic sense.

Friendly and helpful

Super easy, fast, friendly service. Over-the-counter solar permitting, but I happened to show up on a day when the permit texts were all out of the office.

They move slower than the DMV workers. The lady who works the cashier counter will disappear for 30 mins and have a line of people waiting to just pay and get out of there

The slowest most unprofessional department I’ve been to in 15 years. Honestly the employees and supervisors here a waste of life, if you can’t process a permit that literally takes 30 mins max in a 5 week period you do not deserve your job. Let other people who want to work a job apply and get out of the way. It’s these kinds of lazy mfrs the reason the economy doesn’t move… the rest of the world is trying to work and make money while these slugs love getting that free government handout..of course they are still collecting money while sitting on their azz…y’all should be ashamed to be called humans..

The worst among the city building & safety departments!
Other cities are already taking appointments for permits but this? They are all slackers!!! They’re not satisfied with their every other day 4 workdays, they prolooonggg process of permitting.
Taking forever for a small interior remodel, ridiculous!!!

Nobody wanted to help except for senior inspector Mike Ross. People in the building department did not seem happy with their employment decision. I've made several visits here never seems to get any better. Employee David in the building department also one of the rudest people I've ever had to deal with in any city. I will never do business in this city again.

Poor attitude employees. Not very helpful. I am sure they can care less about the patrons, since the department is required by the city. But, good luck to anyone who has to deal with them.

Unprofessional people work here who are dishonest and dont treat women with respect. The employees who work here do not care for the city of Redondo beach or the community or safety of others.
