Dong Mai Market

Dong Mai is located in Cambodia Town in Long Beach, Ca they cater to the Asian crowd, specifically southeast Asians. They offer a ton of spices one can’t get at their local grocery store. I was even surprised to see specific mortar and pestle for papaya salads, Asian style sticky rice bamboo thingy even kitchenware at such an affordable price. Noodles, rice paper, spices, even a spice pack for pho, coconut cream powder, egg noodles, frozen lemon grass, fruits, vegetables, meats and fish. I was there for a specific reason! I was in search of Sai oua or something similar. Sai Oua is a grilled pork sausage from northern Thailand, northeastern Myanmar and northern Laos. One would think 99 Ranch would carry this but they don’t! I was so happy to see that they sell this here and they come in different varieties/brands. I opted for both the Champ brands but one was $5.99 and the other $12.99. Peep the pics of the cheaper one, I have yet to make the other.
If you are in the area or need to find Southeast Asian spices or meats this is the place. This is also a cool spot just to walk around. They do have a table of desserts and some cooked foods!

Great selection of Asian produce, particularly ingredients you'd need for Thai, Vietnamese or Cambodian cuisine. They even have fresh keffir lime leaves and lemon grass... The necessary ingredients for Tom Yum!

If you've spent a considerable amount of time in any of the aforementioned countries, or if you're familiar with the local ingredients, you'll be pleasantly surprised with the various selections available here.

Quick trip to pick up some things. They had most of what I needed. They didn't have great mushroom selection. I did get a bunch of pork bones to make soup. They were great.

Regular Asian grocery store BUT… the butcher is legit, especially if you’re trying to make kuy-thiew, and the house/local made SouthEast Asian prepared food and desserts; that’s what I am here for most of the time.

Great market! They have nearly every Thai, Lao, Khmer ingredient you need to make dishes taste correct. My new spot!

My go-to Asian store when I need to buy khmer food ingredients. They have siracha sauce available for very reasonable price.

My go to place☺. I've known owner since I was a teen when they has thier first market named Anh Doung. And now it's called Doubg Mai😁. Y'all best Vietnamese market ever they served well with my khmer community☺💯✔❤

Ok just wow!
Not only is it exceptionally clean and well maintained but the customer service is exceptional.
I was able to take a look ( I didn’t need anything but am always on the look out for specialty markets ) this one was very well lit, stalked and the products were very fresh.
I had the misfortune of misplacing my wallet and the crew took their time to talk to me. They went out of their way to review the cameras. I found my wallet and now my new favorite market.

Great place to your EVERY ASIAN ingredients

This is an Asian grocery store. Great variety of vegetables and always fresh. Tropical fruits look like they were just picked outside. Large fresh whole fish options. Store is clean. Multicultural items available with decent prices.

This is my favorite local Asian supermarket, when you want those ingredients to make tasty dishes that you can't find in the Asian food aisle at your local supermarket this is the place. I go here for curry paste and coconut milk and all the other ingredients for Thai curry. They have exceptional value on produce compared to other supermarkets.

My go to store hands down. However prices has increased a bit over the last 6 months. My fav is arriving before 12noon to grab the delicious pre-made goodies!

This is my go to store for Asian stuffs. It is quite a drive for me but every time I'm in the area I always drop by to stock up at home for some Khmer cooking. I can't ignore the snack table with so many desserts and snacks. As always I grab the numbachok, it is the only one in town that cater to my taste. I tried other numbachok that sell at other markets, not yummy to me. The krung is good also it's moist, not dry like other stores.

Wonderful produce, wonderful tropical fruits at prices that beat some other Asian market's prices. A few different beers from Southeast Asia. Too bad the soybean milk there is not organic.

Dong Mai is my local grocery supermarket. Plenty of parking space but it crazy on the weekend. They usually have fresh meat and vegetables and tons of snacks, fruits, beverages. It's a one stop shop for most people.

Love the Cambodian food selection they have here. Pricing is excellent. The elderly people are really nice and friendly.
