Ni-Jui James Liang, MD

I cannot recommend Dr. Liang enough. He was completely honest in my consultation and pre-surgery appointments so I was able trust that my results would match my expectations. I have had previous consultations with other surgeons and did not get the same sense of integrity from them that I did from Dr. Liang. I am now six months post-surgery, and my final results are exactly what I hoped for. Dr. Liang gave me a natural look, which simultaneously gave me my confidence back. I have recommended him to my own friends and family members because I know he is skilled, capable, and honest, so they will be in very good hands!

I was diagnosed with breast cancer last year. It was a scary and stressful time, but I am happy to report that I am now cancer free. Dr. Liang was recommended by my surgical oncologist and he definitely helped make my treatment and recovery journey positive and rewarding.
Dr. Liang made me feel confident about the care I was receiving from the entire Torrance Memorial medical team, and hopeful and positive about my life after cancer treatment & reconstructive surgery. He clearly laid out my reconstruction options and patiently answered every single one of my many detailed questions. He addressed both my medical/analytical questions as well the questions that some people might consider more superficial. These questions ranged from details on steps he would perform during my surgery, to helping me understand what my post-op care (and surgical bra!) might look like, because I was hoping that I’d be well enough to attend an important milestone event which required formal wear!! Some might have dismissed my questions as unimportant, but he was patient and accommodating in addressing my concerns….which really helped my emotional well-being at a time where I felt the need to “get back to normal” and feel secure about my health and how my body looked.
Dr. Liang was proud and confident in his work, but it was very clear that my health, safety, and cancer-free prognosis came first. I felt that he had my personal best interests in mind the entire time, and worked with me, to address my fears and worries, without compromising my well being. It was refreshing and comforting, because in a time where I was focused on being cancer-free, Dr. Liang also gave me confidence about good quality of life and being comfortable and happy with my body after I beat cancer. I felt that I could ask him any question on my mind, and he would give me an honest and straightforward answer, with complete respect for my decisions regarding plastic surgery.
Every step of the way, Dr. Liang treated me with respect, patiently addressed all questions and concerns, and played a significant part in making my cancer treatment and reconstructive surgery process a positive one. I am now fully recovered from my cancer treatments and breast reconstruction and am very happy with the results. I feel fortunate to have had Dr. Liang as my plastic surgeon. Thank you, Dr. Liang!!

I highly recommend Dr Liang for any and all cosmetic procedures. He is meticulous and thoughtful with astounding results! A couple years ago he helped remove a large cyst from my face and there is no visible scar. For 10+ years I have always wanted breast implants, went to multiple consults throughout the years but never felt it was the right surgeon for my needs. I am now 6 weeks post op from a breast lift & augmentation with Dr Liang. You must know I had horribly sagging and uneven breasts due to years of weight fluctuation. Dr Liang gave me results I never thought imaginable! I truly feel like I have PERFECT breasts. Not only is Dr Liang masterful with his technique, he is honest, straightforward and very compassionate. If you are considering booking a surgery with Dr Liang, do it!

Dr. Liang performed a breast reconstruction for me after I had a lumpectomy. The results were excellent. He is a top notch talented and skilled surgeon with many of these surgeries under his belt. He is also kind and patient and he promptly and thoroughly addressed all of my concerns. His office staff was also professional, knowledgeable and responsive. Emily was especially helpful with my employment and disability paperwork.

Dr. Liang did an amazing job. I had Basel cell carcinoma on my forehead and he got rid of it and barely left a line of a scar it looks amazing. I would definitely recommend him to everyone. I would go back to see him if I ever get skin cancer again. Apparently I am prone so always wear sunscreen when your in the sun:)

Dr. Liang is truly a special person! As a Stage 4 breast cancer patient, he was very informative on the procedure. He made me feel comfortable and also does not sugarcoat things. He tells you exactly what he thinks and the risks up front. I had unilateral mastectomy and the reconstruction on the right side which he did an awesome job on! He was able to get me into a hyperbaric chamber at Long Beach Memorial in order salvage the skin on my nipple and it worked completely healing and saving it. I highly recommend Dr. James Liang. I was diagnosed with well differentiated invasive ductal breast cancer on the left breast in February. My surgeon performing my lumpectomy highly recommended Dr. Liang for my breast reduction and lift. I didn’t understand why I needed a plastic surgeon after a lumpectomy, but I am so glad I agreed to meet with Dr. Liang. I didn’t realize my left breast would slightly collapse after the lumpectomy, but Dr. Liang, being an expert, was ready for anything. And he knows what radiation does to the breast as well. That’s why I appreciated Dr. Liang not being able to make promises because every lumpectomy and woman is different. He takes your wants into consideration, and he understand how important breast are to women. It’s a great thing he cares about vanity because the results show 😉. Also, I appreciated his personality. He’s very knowledgeable, matter of fact, but caring. He is in the right career. Thank you, Dr. Liang, for being a part of my breast cancer support team (tearing up while writing this review). You made me look beautiful during one of the most difficult and emotional times I’ve been through dealing with a breast cancer diagnosis. On a funny note, you make me want to consider additional procedures because the recovery wasn’t bad at all. You have talent.

Dr Liang’s was very nice and welcoming on the first time I met him and he was very nice and welcoming throughout my visit with him. He did a great job with my breast. I recommend every person that likes to do this surgery to see Dr. Liang .He is such a great doctor may God bless you .

The road to recovery after a mastectomy is not an easy one. Dr. Liang has been there every step of the way. From the initial surgery he did everything to make sure my remaining skin survived including setting me up with hyperbaric treatments.
He was very thorough in relaying options for reconstruction. And there every step in the way in completing the reconstruction process.
He is always thorough during appointment and will answer calls if concerns after hours.
I am so very thankful to have Dr. Liang on my team of doctors and highly recommend him .

I was diagnosed with an aggressive breast cancer in 2021, which resulted in chemotherapy, a mastectomy and 2 major reconstructive surgeries. Dr. Liang was the only reconstructive surgeon recommended by both my oncologist and my mastectomy surgeon. I was a patient of Dr. Liang's for a year. He is articulate, highly skilled, knowledgeable, and caring. I trusted his advice implicitly. He was honest and practical about my situation, my age (past 70) and the possible impact of the upcoming surgeries.
His office staff was considerate, efficient, and available. They scheduled all my hospital pre-tests, surgeries, etc. They also responded in a timely manner to my questions and concerns.

I’m so grateful that through my insurance network, I was blessed to have Dr Liang be my Plastic Surgeon. Dr Liang did a great job of reconstructing the huge hole on my face from removal of skin cancer. He gave me confidence in his explanation of the procedure for the surgery. My experience with Dr. Liang was so positive! I had a breast augmentation with the silicone implants underneath the muscle and I couldn’t be happier with the results. This was also my first time ever having surgery, so I had concerns about the procedure itself which Dr. Liang explained to me very clearly so I knew what to expect.
