From the first visit, Civitas has been our favorite ever since! Whenever we are out of town and try another coffee shop we always compare that coffee shop to Civitas. "Is it as good as Civitas?" The answer is very rarely a "yes". Our regular order is an unsweetened iced oat milk latte! And I would like to say that it doesn't give us "that first sip feeling", it gives us "that every sip feeling"! Wonderful baristas, delicious coffee, and reasonable prices! :)

My husband and I make sure to visit this sweet coffee shop every day when we come to visit the area. Coffee, pastries and open faced sandwiches are delicious. We love the atmosphere and community that the baristas cultivate which makes it feel like our home away from home.

Great place! Hidden gem with amazing coffee and delicious food!! I go for the Honey Oat and the Avocado Toast! Give it a try! …and they are not stingy with the avocado 😆😋

Once again I find myself at Civitas Coffee and I will say that I enjoy the smooth espresso latte, not a single bitter note to be found. This is a Honey Lavender Latte the barista seemed to be in training and probably won't win for best looking heart shaped foam but he makes up for it with a great froth and temperature that plays well with the jetty espresso beans they use, they have invested in great equipment can't go wrong with La Marrozcco equipment, the location is hard to find from the street and parking lot is kinda busy.. now for the west end of La Mirada, this place is a hidden gem and a must visit for anyone who thinks that they know espresso, this is in my top 5 coffee shops with, Tacoma Washington's Valhalla, and Los Angeles coffee lab Intelligentsia. With all the great choices here in Southern California this little shop should be a stop when you are in the area. Music was on and the sound level was enjoyable with a nice selection. They survived the pandemic and are going strong..

I love this coffee shop! First of all the decor is on point! The marble counter tops and tables are so cute. It feels very hip and the service is great. They offer local drinks such as Fermensch Kombucha and Kefir Soda (probiotic juice). They also offer a selection of pastries. I recommend the chocolate croissant! I personally like the honey lavendar latte! They also offer latte art classes on Tuesday and Thursday nights. You can also book for a private class, which I thought would be a great birthday event for any coffee enthusiast.

If you’re a fan of authentic matcha flavor, the matcha-cano and matcha latte are so so good. Not sweet (unless you want it to be) and perfectly balanced.

They ALSO take pick up orders thru Snackpass with a free every 10th order. It’s such a great spot to grab a drink on the go or to do some work in inside. I always come here when other coffee shops (like coffee code) get too crowded.

This place is great! I needed a relaxing place to read and spend the afternoon and Civitas Coffee more than fit the bill! I had a Matcha Latte for the first time ever and it was delicious. I highly recommend stopping in for a quick coffee or hanging out to get work done.

Joseph was great at explaining menu, coffee options, and recommendations. Treated every customer kind and respectful. We will be back often! Thank you.

Best coffee in town, perfect for commuters! Right on Rosecrans by the freeway and open early! Such an amazing beautiful spot, wonderful, knowledgeable baristas and true third wave coffee!

Amazing kombucha and the strawberry matcha is so good (and I don't even like matcha!) I usually go for mochas and lattes, all of which are amazing. Just recently tried their drip coffee which is amazing for it's price! Americano is wonderful but my favorite is the Spanish Latte and they have Oat milk!

Oh man, the pastries. Vegan curry puff is my fav, perfect on my long drive to work. Vegan donuts are fire. Atmosphere is light and airy, very warm and inviting. Lots of tables and seating and outlets and super fast wifi! I find myself here 2-3 times a week. There's no going back.

This coffee shop is wonderful. The Spanish lattes are top notch.

Came here to meet a friend since it's between LA and OC. Super cute coffee shop and the baristas def let you know what you can and cannot customize in terms of temperature, types of milk, and add-ons. If you don't know what to get, they have recommendations.

Pictured is the hot matcha green latte with just the right amount of sweetness that it's barely noticable. Also the guava donut was definitely a must try if you're into bold flavors.

If you get a 16oz, it comes in a to go cup instead of a mug

I was satisfied with Joseph’s (one of the baristas) knowledge of the traditional matcha Civitas serves. It simply showed me that the work at this café is cared about.

Civitas both sells and serves Jetty Coffee, a roastery co-owned by the owner of Civitas. They also sell a number of their own merchandise, and traditional matcha.

There’s one public restroom available, as well as very limited outside seating.

This little coffee shop located in the Rose view center after his delicious coffee with friendly service. I especially enjoy the mocha latte which has a great flavor. There is indoor and outdoor seating and the restroom is kept very clean. Ample parking in the parking lot outside.

Amazing coffee! Iced americano is smooth and crisp. Will be back to try the other drinks. Great atmosphere and fast wifi make for a great place to work or study.

Fantastic! New place but they're definitely working super hard to keep the ranking high. Cortado was nice creamy and robust. I'll be back!

Very friendly service. The iced mocha was really good. The chocolate croissant was also delicious. There this a lot of space if you want to enjoy your coffee here, but the tables are in the small side so you can’t fit much if you want to study/work here. Other than that very nice gem!

Excellent coffee! The place is not overly crowded(yet) or loud. Great to get work done. Ive tried the flat white and i also got to try a lavender latte here from a friends order. I think the barista was not as skilled although it still tasted great. Strong lavender flavor. I went again and the flat white was made by a different barista (perhaps owner) and it was AMAZING. Perfectly balanced and smooth with a cute latte art. One of the best flat whites. Highly recommend! Also, Good cookies!
