Genkiyaki

Everything about this place is tremendous. By far one of the best Asian fusion restaurants I've been too. Employees were friendly (shoutout to Steven), good music, and obviously the loaded fries and the iconic red bun chicken sandwich were phenomenal. Best lunch spot in the area by a landslide.

Everytime I order I ask for well done ninja fries and a side of ranch and they always do it perfectly. These fries are amazing with the sweet beef and onions mixed with the spicy sauce and cheese fries. The ninja and death tacos are great as well. Wonderful service

Regardless of my menu choice, I've always enjoyed everything I've ordered. Food is always cooked fresh, ordering is simplified with a kiosk, and there's arcade games to play while you wait (if that's your thing). Anytime I'm in lakewood during a meal time, Genkiyaki is always on the roster.

My first time here, and I'm definitely coming back.
I had the Ninja Cali Burrio, my daughter had the Ninja Tacos, and my son had the Chicken Bowl with a side of Gyoza.

First time coming here and it was surprisingly good! They're sauces with my chicken bowl was so good! They also have an small arcade for customers, and they're anime drinks are super good! The cashier was so nice and explained everything for us and gave us two free tacos for our first time coming! I'm definitely coming back here again!!!

Wow. So glad we found this spot! So adorable and when we took a bite into our food our eyes lit up! 😍 we got the chicken plate and fish taco. Wow. Don’t miss out!

My husband and I enjoyed our date night this evening. Food was excellent prices are grood. The service was excellent. Pearl and Nana were excellent at helping us out for our first time visit. Definitely going to drop in again.

Best. Fries. Hands. Down. Ninja whatever, don't get me wrong it's all amazing food, but the beef Ninja Fries - there isn't a better "Fries + other things" around. Period. The End.

The owner is a great guy, too. You'll see him there on most days. Definitely will always come back!

This place has been consistently fresh and delicious for 11 years.they are so accommodating I like their teriyaki bowls & special sauce has but sometimes I need to reduce my salt in my sugar intake and so they're willing to leave the sauce out of the cooking for me. For instance today I got steamed vegetables with grilled Chicken.. at other times I get it with all the sauce and fixings and they have great mild and super spicy options. If you want some bomb food at a great price then this is the place for you. I'm literally obsessed with their ninja fries. And if you like hot stuff, they've got you covered. Do you hate yourself and don't want to be able to taste anything anymore? Go for the Zombie Burrito to immediately regret your poor life choices up to this point! 💣🍟🤙

Offers the standard fast-casual fare you might find in any food court, but what sets Genkiyaki apart is their fusion street food. Their Ninja sauce adds a kick to Korean takes on tacos, burritos, sweet potato fries, nachos, and hot dogs. They also offer Food on a Dare, like the Death and Zombie tacos and burritos that require a signed waiver. They're no joke - I like spicy food but the Death taco kicked my keister. They do offer the death sauce in less intimidating stages (epic and kamikaze) if you're curious but not fully committed to the pain. Even the Ninja sauce is enough to send you away sweating, but it's delicious. The location is in a strip mall with free parking, but finding a space can be tough. The acoustics inside can be noisy when it's crowded, but it's not too bad. The staff is friendly, and the food is made to order.

It was a pleasure to be again in this place. Long time favorite. Their tasty and perfectly cooked food is not easily forgotten. Great tacos, burritos, nachos etc with it's trade korean-mexican style is the best in California.

I was introduced to this wonderful place by my son. It is a very lived in environment and the food is absolutely awesome! The employees are polite and great you like family. They have some in house only foods that I can not enjoy because of my stomach...but my son has and many others. Its a challenge of who can handle hot food! Its an experience in it self!

Always great! Whether you're getting a half and half bowl, ninja fries, or the legendary death taco everything is high quality, great value, and memorable flavor! This is a must visit location that couldn't be run by a nicer staff.

Excellent food… chicken and meat were both lean and tasted fresh. They have a free arcade and popcorn for while you wait for your food!

Best chicken I have ever had hands down. Never have i got a bad order hear .amazing costumer service. Thank you for giving me the buy one get one free for the chicken bowls today .even tho I didn't know about it. Honesty goes a long way my friends.

Eat here! Their teriyaki bowls make Flame Broiler look like TV dinner. Rice is sushi grade and never overcooked. Ninja tacos are a must try! Delicious street tacos about as spicy as Tabasco. Their gyozas are big, crunchy, and full of flavor. Their fusion meals are adventurous and delicious but do tend to be on the heavy side. For example, try the fully loaded Ninja Fries. It's basically a teriyaki bowl on top of Irish nachos. Fries are thin but not shoe string. Not exciting enough? Try their famous Death Taco. It's so spicy you have to eat it at the store and sign a waiver! I've been coming here since opening week and I can say that Genkiyaki keeps getting better. The interior has been renovated (Summer.21) and the owners and staff are all really personable. Come in and enjoy the best teriyaki bowls around!

Food was very good. We had to wait a while since they were slammed with to-go and delivery orders and our order got misplaced. It happens though and they went above and beyond to make sure we knew they valued our business.

This place is amazing the smell is intoxicating Matt is the definition of customer service. If every restaurant had a man like this behind the register you never have a problem with your food and you'd always know what to order. 50 stars
