Morey's Music Store Inc

I enjoyed Morey's music for over 70 years. Although I had my lessons at Whitaker's on third street, if I needed sheet music or other items, I would go to Morey's. My only complaint is that they moved from downtown Long Beach to their present location on Woodruff in Lakewood.

Super friendly staff and very reasonable pricing/turnover time. Morey’s did this amazing bow repair for me and I can’t get over how good it feels (better even!!) to be playing on my beautiful Morgan Andersen bow again. Thank you to the amazing people at Morey’s :)

Morey's has always been amazing. I went in this time to drop off an old banjo I found in my granfathers closet when he passed. It need a minor repair and a tune up. I called first to see if they could help and they could! Dropped it off and had it back in a few days. I was in no hurry! I also have an accordion that needs some love, they had a great referral for me. Love this place, have for 25 years!

Very professional and helpful staff. Great selection of string instruments! They are prompt and attentive. The variety of the instruments is great and the service is just spectacular! I don't think 5 stars do them justice 🤓

I don't think you can find a better, friendlier, more inviting music store than Morey's! It's family founded and ran and you can really tell the difference!

They're great. Patient. Nice selection of violin cases. And if there's a room open, you can. Take time to try out a bunch of different bows.

We have been going to them for my daughter's violas for the last 3 years, and the experience has been very pleasant and seamless. Even though they are not the closest to where we live, we keep coming back to them.

We have always been helped by in-store folks who feel like musicians first and salespeople second (if you know what I mean!). They know their instruments, are super patient, and have guided us well.

Their trade in program is great, and also keeps us coming back!

I somehow missed this gem of a music stored when I lived in Long Beach 2 years ago and stumbled upon it on accident while visiting town! Found a great bass bow that didn't break the bank. The atmosphere here is top notch that matches the vibe you would expect with a strings (and more) store. Excellent customer service. Cannot wait to visit again!

I was able to rent a great YAS475 that plays beautifully. The staff are extremely kind and helpful. I highly recommend shopping here for all your music needs!

It was one of the best music stores I visited. Had to go rent an instrument for my son's band class. They had everything.

An employee was willing and able to install a strap to my ukulele in about 15 min. I had no appointment and he was very capable and friendly.

Love this place, it's quiet, cozy place for great prices and amazing instruments equipment etcetera. The staff is equally quality, they were extremely helpful and quick to make your experience here a very pleasant one. I am in love with the location of this store too, tucked away like my very own hidden gem. I purchased a microphone cord for recording vocals because I am currently working on my first album and they directed me to the right stuff, we chit chatted for a second or two otherwise and I was out.. they knew my equipment back home and were very happy to help

Morey’s is the best music store I have experienced in my life. I’m not a profesional musician but they made me feel like I was one. I called them because I needed a bow and we set up an appointment for the next day. Once there, the seller had a room with an instrument and different kinds of bows. I was there like an hour trying them without a problem. The bow that I bought is a very good quality a the price was fantastic. Now I’m just waiting for Christmas because I’ll buy another one. Thank you Morey’s for your excellent service. Best🙏🏽

Went shopping for a violin here. Very helpful and accommodating staff. Very nice people. They had a very nice selection. Not just in violins but in all other musical products too. I didn't end up taking a violin home with me but I'd be sure to recommend checking this place out to others.
