Hidden little gem. The Molcajete was amazing, a mixture of carne asada, grilled chicken, chorizo, and shrimp are delicious. It also includes hand made tortillas, guacamole, rice, beans, nopales, queso freco and salsas to complete the meal. The dish will easily feed 2-3 people. The restaurant is small and with a strong smell/smoke from the food being cook but if you're doing take out this is not the case. The waiting time can rage from 20-40 mins but the food makes it worth it. Parking is very limited.

Great little hole in the wall and I do mean little, but the food is great. We got here and wanted some chip while we waited, but the lady that took out orders said they didn't offer chips. But when we got our food we understood why, it was a lot of food. We got the Ranchero plate and would definitely recommend it. Will definitely come back again! The only downside is that the wait is pretty long but worth the wait.

The food is Delicious! The portions are really good and they are cheaper than most Mexican restaurants. Restaurant is small enough sitting for around 12 people. They do take orders over the phone for pickup. Would definitely recommend it.

Our 12:30 lunch experience was made more than just average by the brilliance of our servers smile. Her service was attentive whilst busy, warm yet professional with eyes that danced when she smiled. My sope and my Jamaica/Hibiscus drink were wonderful and I would recommend this menu to all. The atmosphere is welcoming and one should try to get seated at the bar. I will be back.

Very good authentic food! Very small dining space but gives it a lot of charm. I had a huarache with chicken and it was delicious. First time in a while where I ate all my food 😋

Amazing little place. Call to pre-order. Generous portions. Be hungry and you won’t be disappointed. Great home made flavor style Jalisco. Must try at least once. I honestly don’t understand why this owners had not open a restaurant. Food is great!

Have you ever ridden in a train trolley where food is served? That is kind of the atmosphere at Eva's Cafe on Williams Rd. In Salinas. Now everything is more than worth it when u finally receive your food... ooooohh man, it is great to look at the dishes that are made from fresh Ingredients and very nice presentation. I've worked as an assistant manager, cook, dishwasher bus boy... and learn that a bad dish can be saved by good customer service and I agree... but u can mistreat me if you want as long as I can taste Eva's cuisine... if not the best restaurant in Salinas the food should be!!
Order ANY dish and get ready to fall in love... Eva's will never dissapoint you!!!

Hands down best Mexican food I have ate. The environment is great staff is amazing. Small amount of seating but I didn't go there for seating. Food was delicious and plentiful. I will be back soon, to have more of your delicious food. Thank you for your courtesy and hospitality while I was there. You are amazing.

1st huarache I have ever had and it was delicious! El primer huarache que he provado. ¡Estaba tan delicioso! ( Huarache with chorizo and cactus. Huarache con chorizo y nopal.) Theres many options for meat and seafood. It's better if you order by phone, the wait is worth while.

I love this place. I always have the vegetarian huarache. It is a large portion and it has nopales that taste delicious. There are plenty of vegetarian options. Due to the food being authentically made (it really tastes homemade by a Mexican abuelita) it takes quite a while to get your food. I recommend calling it in. It usually takes about 40 minutes to get your food. It is cash only, reasonable prices. It is a very small building so if you're claustrophobic order to go. Sitting at the restaurant is all stools.

This is my favorite hole in the wall restaurant ever. The food here is sooooo good. Everytime I try something new and expect to be disappointed, I get delightfully surprised with the food. I honestly expected this place to be horrible but it's not and far from. I can't even eat Mexican food at other places and think it's Mexican food after Eva's Cafe. My wife love it too. A lot of gluten free options here. You just have to ask if anything has flour in it. Enjoy.

This little cash only restaurant is so tasty! I got some tacos and I felt like I had them in a Mexican grandma’s kitchen. The flavors were clean. The meats, langua and asada, are delicious. The grilled Serrano pepper set a mini fire in my mouth. Everything was delightful here. I am looking forward to my long drive through Salinas next year just so that I can Eat here again.

Our family favorite. Never disappointed. Food is fresh hot off the grill. They get their nopales from their own backyard. Portions are generous. Great comfort food.

The best Mexican food I've had other than my mom(bias). Very small place but what they lack in size they make up for it in quality. If you're a newbie or passing by Salinas check this place out. It's located in a rough area but don't let that discourage you from their amazing food. Try their Huaraches, that's what they're known for....get away from tacos and burritos and expand your horizon. Huaraches are kinda like a Mexican pizza but waaay better. Also, the best horchata in the game!
