Finally tried this spot on the way to the office and I loved it! Ordered a cappuccino with oat milk and croissant. The cappuccino tasted rich and now I wish I ordered just an espresso shot to taste the coffee on its own. Very good quality beans!

The croissant was also delicious - buttery and flaky! Not sure if they make it in house or if they order it from a local spot, but went well with the cappuccino.

There is seating in the back and looked very cozy. Service was quick and friendly :-) I might try to sit and read here next time. Highly recommend!

The lemon cherry scone and piccolo were amazing! I really appreciate the effort to put milk foam art even on a tiny tiny to-go cup. The atmosphere is cozy and they have WiFi. If you can find a seat and don't mind background noise it would be a nice place to work.

Been here a few times and the coffee is always absolutely delicious. This visit we tried the single origin pour over and the matcha mango. It was so good! This place is truly for coffee lovers because the quality is so high.

I don’t think I would recommend working here. You can but there’s very limited space and it gets pretty busy. I wouldn’t consider it an enjoyable place to work from home and that’s GREAT! All coffee shops don’t need to cater to that. Perfect place to meet someone for coffee for the first time especially if you want to impress them.

An absolutely cozy coffee shop atmosphere that brings a cute, hidden gem to life in DC! The customer service is absolutely amazing and the coffee is fantastic! This has become one of my favorite places to go in the DMV! It is also very conveniently located to the metro and bus stop for easy access while also being close to the White House. I definitely recommend stopping by!

Cute place right in the heart of DC! Tried the cheese and onion empanadas and they were so delicious. Pastries looked yummy, and my oat milk cappuccino was really good. Highly recommend for a quick coffee to-go or snack if you're in the area!

Dua did not disappoint. 10/10 would recommend.

It was recommended by a very respected coffee professional, so I had to check it out. Delicious cappuccino. Then I ordered piccolo. Also, super delicious. The espresso was crispy. Clear and soft. Not sharp or bitter. It was the perfect piccolo.

Seating is a bit tricky. There’s an outside seating that would be nice on good days. And some sitting in the back was well used.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff for sure. And yes there’s Wi-Fi.

Easily my favorite cafe in all of DC. Fantastic coffee, extremely efficient/congenial/personable staff, great music, neat space (couches, chairs, tables) to relax/work/read (on the other side of me when/where I took this photo). Plus, in the warmer months they have an cozy lil' patio which makes for an excellent people watching spot (especially since it's right on the newly cleaned-up McPherson Square park).
Highly recommend!

I brought my family here after a quick galavant around the American History Museum. The coffee shop was a bit further away than we thought it was and it was pretty windy and cold outside, so when we arrived at DUA DC cold, we were weary and ready to sit down for a little bit.

On stepping inside the door we were immediately met with a line that was almost out the door. Turns out it wasn't actually that much of a line it was really just the result of more than three people standing in front of the counter. The shop is pretty narrow and there's not a lot of room near the front so things get congested pretty quickly, especially at busier times.

In any case, we were able to place our order pretty quickly and went hunting for some seats. Unfortunately there really wasn't much available. We came at a pretty busy time and there were only about 5-6 tables inside which were all filled. It was about that time that my 6-month-old decided that she was hungry and would cry unceasingly until she had eaten. The problem was that there was literally nowhere for us to go – we just kind of wandered around with a crying infant trying to figure out what to do. Finally, I went up to the counter and asked the staff if they had any place where my wife could feed that wasn't the bathroom. Our entire experience changed from this point forward...

Immediately one of the workers got her manager and asked if my wife could use the breakroom to which she unhesitatingly said yes and personally led her back and got her comfortable. About that time a table opened up and our drinks were ready. Seeing I was short-handed, the staff up front even offered to help me carry some of the drinks back to our table. It was a small thing but literally changed everything about the experience for us.

The coffee itself was good. DUA has their own speciality roasts and do pour-overs on the weekends, which is a pretty rare thing for most coffee shops because it takes so much time. My wife ordered a vanilla latte and enjoyed that as well.

Overall, we'd definitely go back here in the future. DUA really isn't a great place to sit and do work or hang out for an extended period of time, but it is a good cup of coffee and worth the trip.

If you are from Europe it is not an easy task to find good espresso in DC. However this place has it all. Nice little place just across the park, and yes they do have amazing espresso.

First time trying this coffeeshop. Had the iced brown latte with oatmilk. It was heavenly. The owner was so welcoming and genuinely kind. Space is great with excellent mural as you enter the shop. Best coffee I have had this weekend in DC so far. (Sorry my coffee pic came out blurry!)

Please get the brown latte and spend the extra 75¢ to get it larger. This is such a great spot to chat with friends or have some time alone. The space is not huge inside but you can usually find a spot to sit. Highly recommend any coffee here.

The coffee has a unique flavor profile, very earthy and kinda nutty. Definitely worth a visit if you enjoy taking your palette on an adventure.

Stopped by for a quick breakfast & coffee. Walked past a Starbucks to get here that had over 20 people waiting.. walked in here, immediately ordered and got our food & drinks less than 5 minutes later. The sunflower and banana toast was amazing!! Cute seating area outside as well. I don’t live in DC but this place will be one of my first stops when I’m back!

Lovely coffee shop that has a few outdoor seats and tables in the back for work. They use Indonesian coffee and palm sugars, having a variety of fun drinks with great flavor.

While I was a little more adventurous, trying their Klaffee (coconut water coffee) and Cookies n' Cream, I would recommend trying their latte!

Both classic and Indonesian-inspired coffees on the menu. Loved the Kopi Susu (latte with condensed milk) as both hot and iced. The froth on the hot drink was done perfectly. The croissants are served slightly warmed and there is plenty of seating inside and outside.

So happy this was a coffee shop near us when we were touring the White House .. the line was pretty long but they work fast .. we got the brown latte and the maple latte .. they were both super delicious - not too sweet .. delicious coffee and we ended it with a croissant .. I’m hoping we get to come back before we leave - it was really good !! Definitely recommend !

Love the coffee and the empanadas. The space is a little small, but that makes it feel that much more special when you get a table. I only wish they’d relax their to-go cup policy; last time I checked, they don’t put drinks in personal mugs, which is rather sad for the environment.

Thankful to find this place when searching for good coffee in DC area. Their place is very clean, have delicious pastries (my favorite is pain au chocolate), nice hot chocolate and most importantly they serve good coffee. I also love the vibes this store offers and my husband loves their ceramics cups, too (can’t denied, they’re cute).
