The Secret Gardens

An AMAZING hidden gem. My brother's best friend got married here and he was the best man. The grounds are magical. The venue is impeccable. The staff are great. The wedding was beautiful. My family had a lovely time celebrating the love and joy of their union at this special place on Earth. 💕

Our company had the pleasure of filming a 3D Virtual Tour for this beautiful venue. It's truly a secret garden hidden in Bodega Bay. Just steps from the Pacific Ocean, nestled under the majestic redwood trees. It feels magical like you've walked into a fairytale. Donis the manager takes wonderful care of the grounds and managing the facility. The owners are super kind, the gardens impeccable and the place truly one-of-a-kind. ☺

I had the absolute pleasure of catering a gorgeous120 guest wedding at The Secret Gardens in beautiful Bodega Bay last night. To start with, the venue manager, Donis and his wife Stephanie are incredibly accomodating and share their knowledge of how the kitchen, parking and venue function. The venue is well thought out and a slice of heaven. You feel like you're in an enchanted forest by the sea. The guest dining, ceremony and seating areas are surrounded by lush greenery and the most wonderful breezes. Highly recommended!

From the first few steps into the gate, we knew this was the place. It’s simply magical as you look around, your blood pressure instantly drops, and your breathing slows down. The words our guests threw around on our wedding night were: beautiful, serene, enchanting, amazing, and special. The pictures online don’t do it justice, it's true beauty is in how the areas flow into each other, from the ceremony, to the cocktail hour, dinner, and dance floor. Most of the decor is built-in, and the energy there allows for perfection and imperfection in the best ways. There are lots of spots for photo ops which also allows for flexibility in your wedding day design. You’re surrounded by redwood trees that act as a wind barrier. But keep in mind that it is Bodega Bay, so you have to plan for cold and potential rain because you cannot move the Pacific Ocean! However, even when it was raining during our rehearsal, our wedding party, in particular the men, mentioned how special the venue is and couldn’t wait to show their wives.

Big shout out to Donis!! He was new to the job when we got married (in May), but went above and beyond what was expected, taking care of a few special requests for the wedding and a medical emergency contingency during rehearsal. He did all of it with a big smile, which really reduced my stress levels. What a special place, owned and managed by special people! We’ve been reconnecting with some of our guests since the event, and the first thing they mention is how much they loved this venue.

This was one of the prettiest venues I’ve ever been to. We celebrated a wedding here and were astounded by the true beauty of this spot. It really lived up to the name of Secret Gardens! There was a real magic about this place. On behalf of my family and I, we highly recommend!

This rating is just for the site, we did a visit, but have not had an event there yet. The grounds are beautifully kept with plenty of plants, trees, and flowers. There are plenty of versatile spaces to fit groups of all sizes and customize to your likes.

The Bodega Bay Secret Gardens is simply the perfect place to get married. The space requires no decor because the beautiful ferns and redwoods do all the work for you. The space has such a seamless flow from the ceremony to cocktail hour to dinner and dancing. We had SO many guests ask us how we found this amazing venue.

The venue comes with tables, chairs, heat lamps and fire pits and the management made sure that all vendors were taken care of during the event. We couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out!

Not to mention, we will have the most gorgeous wedding photos :)

What a place for a wedding! We attended a lovely ceremony and reception here and were blown away by the beauty and seclusion. The space is so flexible that you could do most anything you want. The facilities were simply lovely. Just wow!!

This place was magical! You could fly over it and never know it was there, very secluded. Decked out for my friend's wedding, it became a beautifully lit oasis at night, felt like I was in an enchanted forest, incredible since we were right next to the ocean. Amazing.

Wonderful venue for a wedding or other event. The setting is beautiful and spacious. The people were great to work with.

There are several large areas where things can happen, a large nice dance floor, and a great dinning hall.

The weather can be a bit tricky, but even though it is foggy and cold in the morning, it generally burns off by noon warming into a wonderful evening.
The only down fall is returning to the parking at night it is dark if you go after sunset.

I'm definitely going to be updating this 5 star review after our wedding BUT... this location is PERFECT! Everything so far has exceeded expectations. Donis (the manager) has been so very accommodating and the location is beautiful. The website doesn't show the extent of the beauty and the feel of this venue. It has a calm that can't be found in many locations and is quiet and really brings you into the mood of the day for that special moment. My fiance and I can't wait for that day and when it comes, I'm certain it will be everything we've ever dreamed of and more. Stay tuned for the post after wedding but you would be wise to at least check this venue, I'm certain you won't be disappointed!

As an officiant for 15 years, I need to say this is the most enchanted and unique wedding venue at which I have had the pleasure to participate. A big thank you to the manager, Denise, for his outstanding assistance in making everything flow smoothly. I highly recommend this wedding venue.

I just attended a beautiful wedding here. It was amazing 👏. The food, the staff and the ambiance was perfect. A well managed facility for an event. Everything about this place is perfect!

A hidden gem of a wedding venue. The garden is a garden for fairies and at night all the twinkling lights are beautiful. The venue is spacious but a bit spread out for an intimate affair. There are a lot of creative decorations and places for kids to explore and be entertained. All the lush surroundings helped cut down on the wind but there is no view of the bay. For the ceremony location, there is a small water gully which separates the guest from the ceremony which creates a bit if a distant feeling and makes for a long walk around for the bride.

An oasis among the redwoods. The plants and trees form a perfect sylvan outdoor event location. The greenery lends to a serene vista, and the venue owners are knowledgeable and helpful facilitators. Recommended for local and destination seeking couples!
