We had been traveling from San Francisco to explore the area. We camped at a near by campground for a couple days.

We were looking for some great food, great seafood in particular.

The parking lot was packed. The restaurant was full. We didn’t have reservations but they were ale to seat us immediately.

We ordered a couple appetizers, a few drinks and our entrees.

The crudo of hamachi is delicious. So delicate but very flavorful. The basil, lemon juice and sesame oil did not over power the hamachi. The radish gave it a nice crunch and kick.

The scallops were so tender. The purée paired with it well. We could definitely eat just this as our main because it was so delicious.

I ordered their fresh pasta with Italian sausage. The pasta was Al dense, a good bite to it. The bread crumbs gave it a nice texture. Everything about the pasta was phenomenal.

My partner ordered the strip steak. Not pictured but he loved it. It came with trumpet mushrooms , broccolini and a delicious bordelaise sauce. Cooked perfectly to a medium well.

The feel of the restaurant was warm and welcoming, everyone was enjoying their time there.

The drinks were great, the wines they suggested paired well with the steak, seafood and pasta.

We also ordered the cheesecake to go, also not pictured. But when we got back to camp to enjoy it. It was amazing. Nice and creamy, with a good crust. And the sauce paired with it had good acidity to cut through the richness of the creamy cheesecake.

Amazing restaurant , can’t wait to try it again next time we’re in the area again!

Great experience from the start. Called at 3pm the day of, and they were able to squeeze our 3 top in at 6pm. We were sat right away, drinks came out fast and the meal was paced well. It was fun watching the kitchen from my seat; but none of the clanky dishes or yelling of the cooks.

Food is simple, but well executed.

This was my wife's second visit in three days, and my first, and the experience was lovely from start to finish. We came right at opening without a reservation, and they welcomed us into the warm and inviting space. We had two starters and two mains, and all were perfectly prepared and seasoned: octopus, scallops, pork, and wagyu steak. The server was very kind in meeting my dairy and gluten free needs as well. Truly a gem in Bodega Bay!

This little gem is so unassuming from the outside but the minute you walk in, it's like getting a culinary hug. The kitchen is a well-oiled machine, quietly putting out Michelin-worthy dishes. The service is on point. Honestly, everything is delicious so my best advice is to try something new that you don't normally eat...your tastebuds and tummy will be delighted!

We had 1) Monterey sardines; 2) 2 orders of scallops (unbelievable! = nicely cooked melted in mouth no chewiness at all); 3) sea bass; 4) asparagus salad; 5) cheesecake with raspberry sauce.
Food made with a top of the class. This would go though after another Michelin star, White Rabbit in Moscow Russia. But do not misjudge. It is a perfect place.
Ambiance is very relaxing, we were next to a fireplace and service is a top notch. We will be back for sure.
FYI corkage is $30 as of end of May 23

The meal we had last evening was stellar. One of the best in our lives. We decided to work our way through appetizers, a cocktail,, beer, wine, port and dessert and EVERYTHING was perfect. We extend compliments to the chef. Additionally, the wait staff was exceptional. Wonderful relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Spectacular dinner, even better than Drakes Sonoma Coast. Laid back atmosphere with exquisite dishes. Highly recommend. If you're in Bodega Bay, you have to come here.

What a treat—delicious food, attentive, warm and friendly service, comfy vibe. The pasta with shrimp and sausage was fantastic; my seafood stew was wonderful; great scallop appetizers; perfect light airy not too sweet chocolate cake. Overall, a delightful birthday dinner!

Do not hesitate. Absolutely go experience what this place has to offer! Great ambiance and service, and the food was so beautifully cooked and presented…it was delightful in every way! It’s approximately $10/more a plate than nearby restaurants and 100% worth it. Splurge on dessert with a French Press of their good coffee!!

Came here to have a birthday dinner and thoroughly enjoyed the at-home feel of Terrapin Creek. The Hamachi crudo was impeccable - tangy lime and fresh pesto made for an incredible appetizer. Also loved the pork chop entree - hard to beat the creaminess of the farro and mushrooms together. Portions are large and great for sharing. Definitely the best food I've had in Bodega Bay.

Me and my wife came to bodega Bay for our anniversary weekend and found this place. We had no idea that it was a Michelin five star restaurant and that everything would be amazing. I had the duck which was phenomenal, all the sides were perfect. She had the salmon which was also great. The desserts were phenomenal. The service was excellent and down to earth. The ambience was nice. Even the bread from a local bakery was out of this world. Every detail was on point. One of my top five all-time.

Terrapin Creek is food heaven. This is a small sized restaurant that has exquisite food, nothing tastes bad from their menu. It is fine dining at it's best. All meats, vegetables and fish are purchased locally. Their desert is superbly made and every bite is sensational. It is cozy and eloquent. A place for the wife, girlfriend or family ( get a sitter for small children ) savor the experience.
It is expensive. A meal for two with appetizer, main course, alcohol drink, dessert, tea or coffee will run over $100 not including tip. It is worth every penny. Reservations are required and self parking is free. Final note; look at my pictures.

Camping at Bodega Dunes , the highlight of our long weekend was finding this absolute GEM of a Restsurant. This Michelin Star restaurant serves an amazing Duck from Liberty Farms in Petaluma. I also had the Octopus Cauliflower Salad that was perfect . The owner/chefs wife makes the wonderful pastry deserts- we really enjoyed the Panna cotta and the warm chocolate cake. Great friendly staff as well. A must try .

If I could give this place 10 outta 5, I would. I don't want to be, "that person", but I'm a food enthusiast, and I've worked in food and bev for 11 years. This was the best meal I've had in... 5 years, easily. We ordered the charred octopus salad, hamachi crudo, seared Hokkaido scallops, pan-seared Alaskan halibut and crème fraîche cheesecake with raspberries and vanilla.

The octopus salad was the best I've ever had. Not chewy at all, so tender and perfectly paired with cauliflower and an amazing sauce.

The scallops had a nice sear and came with a sunchoke purée that was insanely delicious, and was nice to dip our dinner bread in.

Hamachi was so light and flavorful, and served with a lemon sesame dressing I'm determined to replicate.

The halibut was hearty entrée portion, with a lovely lemon butter sauce, served with enokis, sautéed greens and Forbidden black rice.

The crème fraîche cheesecake almost caused a fight between my partner and I; absolutely to die for.

Seriously, if you're anywhere near here, please stop in. Even despite calling in the middle of a busy night, the staff was so friendly on the phone, and very kind and gracious when we came to pick up our food.

Also, best to-go box presentation I've seen during COVID restrictions. I can't wait to come try the other half of the menu.

This is one of the best restaurants in Sonoma County! Amazing service and food. Great wine list, and a limited cocktail menu. Oysters, crab cake and scallops are all delicious starters. The halibut and pork chop entrees were fantastic, as were the bread pudding and pumpkin cheesecake.

Subtle flavors combing to form a sublime experience. The scallop appitizer and lamb pasta, both fantastic. The duck, cooked to perfection, the skin crisped just right. Every dessert, delicious. A can't-miss find in low-key Bodega.
