Elaine, the store owner is very kind and personable. She is also extremely knowledgeable about kites! One of my favorite things about her store is the ability to pick and choose the taffy your hearts desires instead of being forced to get a general combo bag or having to only pick one flavor. She has been in Bodega bay at this location for a long time and is very knowledgeable about the area. Definitely a must stop while you're there.

Had a good day out at the coast stop by here looking for pez candy and ended up buying some old school candy here they didn't have the pez but walked out with some good old candy that I grew up with. Fun place they've got kites, toys, and other cool stuff. They have some baked goods also Make sure you stop by I'm sure you will enjoy it. The people running the store are very nice. The lady that waited on us was a sweetheart always a smile on their face been here quite a few times.

This store is always a favorite to stop by (I've been coming here for probably close to a decade to be honest). The owners are SO SO friendly, have a large collection of kites, hanging spinners, Bodega Bay collectables, salt water taffy (and other assorted candy), and the best gem of all: these color-your-own post cards for $0.75 each! Next time I'm in I'll definitely be by to get some more kites, they're a lot more affordable than I remember (even some really cool ones as low as $15ish at the back of the store). P.S. (if the owners are reading this) If you ever are in a good enough state to bring back the $5 kite/spinner bin, I know that's something I loved being able to grab something from whenever I visited the shop. If I recall, last year when I visited COVID had killed that deal, so it's totally understandable if it's gone forever, but just know it was a really cool thing for the time it was around ^_^

Very cheerful and tempting selection of wind toys, kites, garden turbines, wind socks, children's toys, salt water taffy and huge variety of "penny" candy!
And an easy, roomy parking lot.
All within blocks of the beach and the bay.

They had candy that I haven't seen in years. The couple that ran it were awesome very personable.

Service is generally good. I have had a person be stand offish at first but then become much nicer once they realize we are actually going to buy stuff. We always stop here when we camp in the area. The wife loves the selection of wind stuff and they also have lots of cool kites.

Love the selection of fun stuff and great memorabilia! They have a fantastic selection of wind socks and kites and windmills. The daily special is awesome. Every day they have a different flavor of that yummy saltwater taffy to sample. The staff is so so friendly and helpful! Every time i go to Bodega Bay i visit this shop every day I'm there and i can't wait to go back again next year!!

Love this play so much! Every time we visit bodega bay we always stop by at this shop to buy taffy and candies! Also, love the FUNNEL CAKE just right in the front of this shop. I wish they come back soon because I’ll definitely visit again.

Gift and sweets shop to visit when in town! There are a few taffy shops in the area but we chose this one because of the bright colored wind spinners (making it look super welcoming and fun) and the ample parking lot.

We bought a variety of salt water taffies (some of the tastiest ever!!) even the bacon flavored one was yum!

The cashier who rang us up was super friendly and gave our her daughter a “pop quiz” for a special prize.

Would come back when we’re in the area!!

Wow, read the review by Jordan White and it is so far off the mark. Second Wind and the store owner is one of the greatest stores to go to for all kinds of cool stuff besides the great kites they carry. Huge selection of salt water taffy and all kinds of different candies that you can't usually find any where else. The owner is personable, welcoming, knowledgeable and downright hilarious to be around. So do yourself a favor and check the store out. You will be so glad you did. Just remember like all good folks who care about others, mask up. Sonoma County requires masks, social distance and only a few people in stores at a time. Believe me it is all worth it!!

Have loved this place for years. The staff are kind, helpful, funny, & friendly. The store stocks Taffy of many kinds as well as car games, creative wind socks, and several other things you either need or want. Cute & eclectic shoppe. Big parking lot (we even pulled in & parked a 30' RV.

Very friendly and inviting. The gentlemen manning the register even did a bunch of magic tricks for our family. Happy we stopped on our way out of bodega bay.

This is THe BEST place to stop when you’re at the coast and the best destination, if you’re not! The staff is super friendly and helpful. They really care about FUN!! Bring your mask, your inner child and your wallet, because you won’t want to leave here empty handed.
Remember, there’s no better way to social distance than to fly a kite at the beach!
These are, seriously, the purest and kindest shop owners I have ever met. When I got on to give a review I was so surprised to see a bad one. This is the place for you if you can be kind and serious about fun. Otherwise, do the world a favor and stay home.

Pretty nice shop, the guy, always at register, owner? really took to the mask thing, but only forced it on us when it was county "mandate". We always stop by when in town.

This is the best place for windsocks and flags and spinners. They are always friendly and helpful too. And they know everything there is to know about candy and the history of eac . If you have a favorite candy from your childhood, I bet they have it at Second Wind. Try the saltwater taffy for a real treat.

We visited this store Labor day weekend. 2018. Thid is about our fourth time here. I love the flags and always end up with a whirlwind yard ornament. The owner is extremely friendly. And you can't leave without some kind of old fashioned candy and salt water taffy.

We go to this shop every year we go camping at PortoBodega.
Purchased a metal pelican yard art two years ago. It's awesome!
They offer a TON of different kites and salt water taffy and some other toys. They offered a free sample of taffy, and used to have a $5.00 daily special. The Government Covid shutdown temporarily put an end to those.
We also purchase a few grocery bags here every year. Cute printed Bodega Bay bags! The gals are amicable, and will help you hunt for a kite.
