I don't know why it's called Hellman Ranch? The entrance clearly says Heron's Pointe. It's a small trail, in between a big reserve and residential neighborhood. Lots of big Eucalyptus trees provide shades and fragrance. Lots of birds and butterflies. If you pay attention along the fence, you might see owls' nests!

It is a nice walk, fairly isolated

This is the same place as the entrance to Gum Grove Park.
Parking is to the left of the Heron Pointe housing development, right across the street from the Seal Beach weapons base off of Seal Beach Blvd. Coming in from the 405 or 22 head south. If you hit PCH you have gone too far.
