One of the best breakfasts I have had in a long time! The chicken fried steak was so flavorful and crunchy, and the home made sourdough bread was a delightful dream. And don't even get me started on the cinnamon roll, I nearly fainted it was so good. It has been 2 hours since we finished our breakfast, and we are still talking about it and probably will be all day.

Definitely was surprised with how good everything was. More often than not, diners in small towns end up being lackluster, not Joy’s. From the homemade jam, to the crunchy coconut pancakes, to the burrito. All delicious, well priced, and huge portion sizes.

This is the sort of place that's increasingly hard to find. Great food, very fair prices, genuinely friendly, attentive staff, and fast service. The cinnamon rolls are huge and out of this world. If this place were 40 miles south of Sedro, it'd cost twice as much and be impossible to get into. But we waited 10 minutes on a sunny Saturday morning in spring, and had a huge breakfast for two for under $25 bucks. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful quaint place this is!! Feels like I've gone back 50 years and in a good way. The town was quaint with the old fashioned downtown, parking right in front. The restaurant was decorated nicely and very homey feel. The pastries in the display case were HUGE.

We stopped here on our way to North Cascades National Park for breakfast. We had the classic American breakfasts - an order of oatmeal, and order of eggs, sausage, hash browns and toast. They were all very delicious and exactly as you'd expect a traditional American breakfast. There is nothing fancy or pretentious about this place or these dishes. They stuck to the old American tradition.

So worth a trip to this charming old logging town. My son and I chose to split the waffle special plus hash browns and it was more than enough.

Super friendly, efficient service and bakery items that were impossible to pass up.

Pictured: the apple waffle special with bacon. Pumpkin muffin, cinnamon roll, and apple caramel strudel.

Breakfast is the bomb here! The cooks do a great job in cooking and serving delicious food in just the right amount of time. Service is top notch here. Olivia our waitress was the best. Made us feel at home every time we came in.
The omelettes are huge and delicious. The coconut pancakes are like nothing I have had before. My husband is officially addicted to them. The espresso is also on point. They have fresh baked bread they make right in house too. The Reuben sandwich was one of the best I have had with perfectly cooked fries. The prices are reasonable for the portions you receive. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The restaurant and bathrooms are very clean. We are here visiting from out of town and wish we could have a place this good where we are from. But then again we would gain a ton of weight if this place was a regular of ours. LOL 😆 Definitely recommended!

The food and service were awsome, the hand made chick fried steak and sausage gravy were scrumptious and I tried a bite of my wife's coconut pancake and wow!!! Was that tasty! We will definitely be back.

Fantastic old school joint. Absolutely amazing food served up like an old fashiond American Grandma would make it. Love their biscuits and gravy. I can barely handle a half order. May have to go there for breakfast now since Google popped up this review request. Really can't beat them for the price, service, food, and overall atmosphere. You wish your town had a place like Joy's.

Best sourdough bread in existence. Cut thick. Had a huge breakfast here many years ago and was very pleased with service. Better than my great grandmother could even do. Happy to see it is still running. Cheers.

Today someone paid for our meal. They noticed Jess was sick from her chemo. The staff refused to tell us who. Only that it was another customer. It hurts not to say thanks but you really made our day. Thanks so so much. I hope this reaches them. See you again! Great service for how busy it was. Very typical to be busy there. Parking in the front or the back. Coconut pancakes are the best! Sausage links were cooked good but they were not good texture.

This is a hometown bakery at its best! Joy’s has been in Sedro-Woolley for as long as I can remember so maybe some of the decore could use some updating, or maybe that is some of it’s charm. You decide. It is always packed. And you always know the people inside. They have cinnamon rolls the size of a plate that I would advise you to share (or save some for later) but are delicious. And a case (that they cannot keep full) of cookies just as big. You will not be disappointed with anything you order for breakfast or lunch! It is just too bad they are not open for dinner.

The best place ever! This place is worth going outa yr way if yr wanting a memeral breakfast experience. There's no place I know of in the valley that does breakfast the way it's done here and to top it off they even have real girl waitresses unlike some other places in closer to the I-5 corridor 😁
keep up the five star business we need you guys!
