Hand pressed burgers? OMG so good.
Awesome side salad instead of fries, the dressing tasted homemade.
My husband had 3 eggs sunnyside with hashbrowns and sourdough toast.
The eggs were perfectly cooked.
Breakfast is served all day.

Have driven by this place for a long time and can't believe we chose Mother's Day for our first visit but so glad we did. We actually found a booth and discovered thei have a more extensive menu than we expected. We'd simply done a search for "pancakes near me" and came up with the usual players as knew they'd have long waits. As neither my aunt nor I had been here, we decided to check it out. Everything is made fresh so don't expect super fast service but it wasn't overly long, either. The wait staff were all really nice, the food had huge portions, reasonable prices, and very tasty. The only complaint was the super dry, hard bacon - pass! Not enough to dock a full star, IMHO. #7 & 16: Pancakes w/low-cal Aunt Jemima syrup and butter, hash browns, and chorizo scramble were all winners. Can't wait to try other menu items in the future.

I ordered the number 10 - crepes with cream cheese. My husband ordered biscuits and gravy, bother were absolutely delicious. As close to awesome home cooking as you can get. The wait staff were very attentive as well. We will decibel be coming back. Prices were great as well.

It’s like a nook in a hole. Outside patio also for dining also. Great coffee, great atmosphere for a quieter dining experience

I have passed this restaurant several times while visiting Mt. Vernon on business trips. I stopped in this morning for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding.

Riverside Cafe was a good choice. The food was HOT when served, the staff was very friendly, and was well worth the it.

I've been coming to this Jewel for a lil over here a year! This place is soo good my favorite is the corn beef hash, also the owner and the staff treat me so good!

It's a small cafe. It's very friendly & accommodating to disabled wheelchair users. Very attentive staff. The food was excellent and there are a lot of choices. Breakfast is served all day. We'll be back!

OMG this place is very clean greasy spoon type restaurant.
You go in there you immediately feel like you're at home.
This is my wife's and my first time in there immediately we felt welcome and excited to try the restaurant.
The menu had a large selection of different types of food and we ordered two breakfast prices weren't bad get there before 10:00 coffee is a $1.98 coffee after 10:00 it goes up in price.
Our food arrived extremely hot and with our breakfast we had ordered pancakes OMG these were made from scratch not some mix some of the best pancakes I've had in a very long time waitress has attitude if you give it to her and she will joke around with you awesome awesome people we will be back!!

Best service ever super friendly great atmosphere

This is one of the BEST places for a good steak in the area. There are other steak houses, but this little side of the road cafe will just blow you away with their food. It is simply THAT fantastic! I have had not only their steak but their seafood and the fried oysters are out of this world. The flavor profile is off the chart GOOD. I'm telling you if you're wanting good food, like the type you would make your kitchen----only better----then come here. Highly, highly recommend this restaurant.

I had Eggs Benedict! It was fabulous. My son had the Meat Lovers breakfast, and said it was exactly what he needed. Protein packed meal. We both had blueberry pancakes on the side. Our server was super friendly. I'm embarrassed that I don't know her name. Excellent food, excellent service! We'll be back!

Popped in looking for a hood burger and was not mislead. The place definitely delivered. So many choices, I had to take the suggestion of our server. She said Mushroom Swiss ... good lord it hit the spot.

I will say at first we weren't sure when we pulled up but her friendly "come on in ..." won us over. This is a spot to come back to to for sure.

Great little American Diner with generous portions. Our waitress was a riot. Full of character and very attentive. Recommend this place if you're in the mood for a classic American diner experience.

Riverside Cafe is one of my go-to's when ordering breakfast when I'm starting work early! I love their skillets! I recently had some feedback for my breakfast and the owner was so receptive and kind. He fixed the problem no questions asked! You got a forever customer :)

We went into Riverside Cafe for lunch, ended up having breaky. Food was Deeeelicious!! Eggs Benedict & hashbrowns which was cooked perfectly! Eggs had perfect amount of run to them to add to the sauce. That is an easy thing to mess up but mine was done perfectly! Hubs had one of the skillet breakfasts with the "country potatoes ((YUM!!) which was also Amazing! Riverside Cafe is one place that anything you order is going to be fantastic! The staff was friendly and service was quick, but we wanted to stay longer! Lol
I would recommend Riverside Cafe for breaky, lunch, and dinner!!

Nice and clean.

The ladies in our group were especially appreciative of the clean and warm bathrooms.

I had a 3 piece fish and chips which was pretty large and I should have had the two piece. It was good. My wife had breaded oysters and she gobbled them down.

One of the other orders was a grilled steak which was commented on as one of the best steaks they'd eaten.

All in all it was good food and service. I suppose there are better places but I could easily make this my go-to place when I had the urge to eat out.

P.S The beer was god too.

This place was amazing! Very good cook and wonderful service! My food came out piping hot and only took maybe 10 minutes. Ronda was my server and she made me feel like I had walked into a friends house. Very welcoming, sweet and great conversation. Thanks Ronda you're very good at what you do 🤗❤

I had a really good breakfast here. I'd not been in before, but my usual place was closed, so I gave it a shot and now I have a second option for great breakfast. I will try lunch and dinner next. Also, quite the friendly staff, so that's just an added bonus.
