The whole experience here was amazing. There were six of us, and we had to wait a few minutes for a table big enough to seat us. Once seated, the servers were always checking on us and bringing chips and water. Once we ordered, it took about five to eight minutes to receive our order. We ordered Los Tacos with Carne Asada, Burrito Loco with Carne Asada, Carne Asada y Camaronesn, two Enchiladas with chicken, and Carne Asada. The food was amazing and large portions. The beans and rice were fantastic, and the rest of the dish did not disappoint either. I highly recommend experiencing this place. You will be missing out on your new favorite Mexican restaurant if you don't try it out.

BY FAR ONE OF MY FAV PLACES IN SKAGIT COUNTY! I love that it is right off the 5 freeway and close to a lot of little shopping areas. The service was amazing, the food was delicious, the service was TOP TIER, the drinks was droooooling good. We sat right next to the fire place which was extremely cozy. Our waitress and everyone we encountered was extremely pleasant. I will most def be back before Christmas again, THAT GOOOD!! I’m thinking about it right now and it’s 11PM! Haha. Thank you everyone at COA!

Had lunch here this week and it was amazing! I ordered the one enchilada (half/half with both sauces, the mole and the crema) and it was amazing, and a lot of food for the price. The horchata is also very good and the chips and salsa were perfect, and still hot when they were served!
The staff were super attentive and patient, and brought chips very often. I will definitely go back!

They started us off with free chips and salad. I had the Tres Enchiladas! It was delicious and full of shredded beef! And had chicken mole which was also amazing!
This place is great, and the service is great too! Price was average and the ambience was nice.
Highly recommended!!

Super good nachos - almost too good, I ate way too much! Really thick tortilla chips, and way more toppings than chips. If you get these, it might be best to save your table chips and just use those to eat down to the dish chips. Super nice hosting/wait staff, clean, spare dining room, and some beautiful outdoor seating.

COA has some really good food! The flavor is big and so are the portions! The meats are moist and have great seasoning and the veggies are all very fresh and moist. The burrito is full of beans rice meat and topped lightly with a great sauce that all just go together so well. The fajitas platter is big and full of flavor with great grilled veggies and plenty of meat. The restaurant is big inside and there's a bar area separate from the dining area. The staff seem friendly as well and It's easy to see why it is busy here

I can't get over the creamy poblano sauce and their homemade mole. THIS is exactly how Mexican food should be served.

Their simple, inexpensive items are honestly my favorite! I had the carne asada and it was okay but the simple chicken tacos with rice and beans were so flavorful! The pinto beans were seriously the best I've had, very tender and seasoned well.

Amazing food! We've been searching for good Mexican food in the PNW for years and finally found a great place. The service there is really great too, they were very attentive and friendly. Would give 10 stars if possible

Meat options for dishes include VEGATABLES! Also for enchiladas mole is a standard option, my favorite! I normally ask places if that is an option. Mole was just right, spicy but not too hot, with a touch of sweet but not sweet, perfect. So I had veggie enchiladas with Mole! Wife also had a dish with veggie. Also whole beans not refined and the rice was also very good.

This is hands down my favorite Mexican restaurant! The food was amazing, and the crema sauce is next level. Their Cadillac margarita was perfect for an end of the week treat, and our waitress was the absolute sweetest. She was more than helpful, super knowledgeable, and one of the reasons we enjoyed ourselves so much. The atmosphere was inviting and they had great music playing. Highly recommend the molcajate meal as a meal for two!

The food was good, but I have to say what stood out to us was the exceptional service. The staff were incredible. They were quick to help seat us, bring menus, and overall it was a non stop joyful experience that made the food secondary. Even our toddler had a great time, and was happy and exclaimed mnnnnn with each item she tried! We will definitely be back!

Last night, nobody felt like cooking. I had mentioned to my Dad and Brother that I had a hard time trying to find a good plate of nachos in Upstate NY. I also mentioned that really good Mexican food was hard to come by back home. So my brother Angus, called up a friend of his from childhood, Russ. Dad and myself, along with Angus & Russ went to an amazing Restaurant, COA Mexican Eatery & Tequileria. As soon as we walked in the door we were politely greeted by our host, and shown to our table. Angel was our waiter, and he was excellent. He just didn't want his picture taken! We ordered a plate of Shredded Beef Nachos to get things warmed up. We also ordered a round of their House Margaritas. When the nachos were delivered, my heart skipped a beat, because those Nachos were a work of art, and I couldn't wait to dig in. There was plenty of guacamole and sour cream on top, with enough sliced fresh jalapenos. And believe you me, the Nachos were as good as they looked. I ordered my favorite dish, Tres Enchiladas. Three corn tortillas filled with shredded beef, rolled and covered with a green poblano crema sauce, topped with fresh greens, pickled onions and queso fresco. Served with rice & beans. When I placed my order with Angel I had asked him for extra jalapenos. He brought me three, whole roasted, jalapenos. I felt like I died and gone to heaven! Everything was outstanding! "COA Mexican Eatery and Tequileria serves made from scratch artisan cuisine in Skagit County. Named after the spade-like tool used to harvest agave plants which is used to make tequila. The owners, sister and brother, take pride in every dish using only fresh, local and natural ingredients. With flavors from their hometown, Durango, mixed with a culinary chef's perfection you are taken to their abuelita's kitchen with every bite. Our featured tequila bar showcases only 100% agave tequilas served in our crisp drinks or just to sip the fine aged flavors. We offer gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options. The warm atmosphere along with the staff makes the COA experience that much more unforgettable." (Copied from their website) I was unable to finish the food I'd ordered, and believe me, I tried! I was able to take my leftovers home that was a meal unto itself.

So, to wrap up my review. I highly recommend COA Mexican Eatery and Tequileria if you are anywhere in the Skagit valley. You will thank me later!

Cheers,
Art Harris

It's a really delicious place! The only complaints I have are that it was loud both times we went (it was busy!) and the food is a little pricey for my tastes. The food was great, though! And it's a really cute place.

I'm from San Diego, and I LOVE Mexican food. So when my husband and I decided to get married in his homeland, WA state, I knew I had my work cut out for me finding delicious, authentic Mexican cuisine, (like the kind I'm used to - let's be real, SD Mex is the best), to cater at an affordable price. After searching the internet, HIGH and LOW, I finally found COA. We flew to WA for a tasting and it was love at first taste. COA is perfection. Not only is the food amazing, but Viry and her staff are incredibly friendly and hospitable. The display was more beautiful and gourmet than I had even expected. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. Everyone ranted and raved about how good the food was, and how they couldn't even believe it. We ordered the taco bar + appetizer bar + a tray of enchiladas, upgraded to the nice chafing dishes (highly recommend) and servers (also highly recommend). They delivered to our family's private farm way out in the country of Stanwood and they were timely, excited to be there, and incredibly kind and friendly. It was the best experience we could have hoped for, and we won't go anywhere else near Stanwood/Mt. Vernon for Mexican food ever again. If you're looking for an amazing caterer, or just an amazing, cozy meal at their restaurant, COA is the place. Thank you, COA!!!

Top notch. Maybe the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. Outstanding service and very nice modern atmosphere at a great price point. Try the chicken enchiladas with the green sauce. Killer.

Wow! Exceptional food & experience. Best ceviche I’ve had since I was in Baja! Conquistador pork dish was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Chile Relleno good and more comparable to what I’ve had in Mexico. A bit too much egg for me. Love the Peruvian beans! No room for dessert, but they looked delicious. The house made chips and salsa are some of the best I’ve had.
