The reason this school is much more effective than many others is its total immersion program. My kids have learned a lot about geography, history and culture in the art, culture, and music classes. Celebrating the occasions at home and a few visits to the actual places discussed in these classes have solidified their understanding and love of culture. Occasional singing and playing folk songs and rituals such as Amoo Zangir Baf during the recess time is another example of activities that transforms the school from just a traditional reading and writing program to a complete cultural experience.
