I took the TESOL Advanced and for Children courses and I am very pleased with my experience. It was very convenient for me as I could work on the courses at my own pace. I also really liked the quick responses from my teachers and the director, Jonathan Lazarus. In fact, when I received my first certificate, it came in the mail bent. I requested the next certificate be sent with cardboard protection and to my surprise, I received a new copy of my certificate that was bent. What a kind gesture by the company! Currently, I work in Japan on the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program and in large part to getting my TESOL certifications. I highly recommend this course for people who want to learn more about teaching English as a second language.

AMERICAN TESOL INSTITUTE is a great institute for people who wants to improve and gain experience in teaching either at home or abroad. I finished and got my expert certification which includes: Children/Advance/Business with them entirely online in 2014 and currently doing their Teaching with Technology Certification to be completed in 2016.These four courses will surely raise your standard of teaching skills to a higher new level. I highly recommend anyone to take at least three courses including the ATITEC, if you want to update yourself with current teaching skills. ATI teachers and management are very helpful and responsive.

This is a cost effective course which is self paced. In the roughly 8 months I took to do this course, my feedback was always near immediate and I could tell that they actually read the work, due to comments pointing out specifics I had written about.

The syllabus and course manual, along with a wealth of reference materials is very good. In addition to teaching you the subject, your homework arms you with some lesson plans to go into a job with.

In addition to the basics of teaching the course, ATI has a broad base of other benefits to it. Job placements, continuing education resources and brick and mortar courses overseas.

I have had to contact ATI for some atypical issues. One of which was an official receipt from the school of my payment to get VA reimbursement. I had seen reviews about lack of responsiveness, ATI not being US based etc., and that's not my experience.

Within 24 hours of an email requesting the receipt on ATI Letterhead, I had it. I called and the phone was immediately picked up by an American with a prompt email back (they were going to call back, but my SKYPE wasn't set up with an assigned number)

Furthermore, based on due diligence before I signed up, and some of the complaints I had seen online (alleging ATI is not a US company etc.,) I check them out. The Secretary of State (FL) has appropriate filings online in good standing, no judgments, lawsuits etc. I think the complaints are from people that aren't very competent.

Certificate I received was quite high tech with bar codes and verifications that I didn't expect. My experience was very good.

I noted their offices overseas and after I teach a bit, might look into the possibility of a franchise with ATI. I know nothing about that possibility, so that's just a thought.

PS: Veteran Friendly. Approved by the Florida and Vermont VA and various Chapters for GI BILL and VOC Rehab which obviously helped my choice.

I am very glad . I chose this TESOL ADVANCED INTERNATIONAL COURSE as I learnt a lot. and it improved my skill set as an English Teacher. I found the course modules very very interesting , Challenging . My coordinator is an excellent tutor. She took time to explain each and every thing regarding course and clarified my doubts.

Great course, Advanced Cert!!!

I recived my TESOL for Children certification online. It was the least expensive and most convenient option. I sometimes felt like the material was too simplistic, but for a very introductory course (and for an addition to a resume) it was well worth the time and money. I would recommend ATI to anyone who needs their TESOL certification and is willing to take their learning seriously enough to extend beyond the given material.

The TESOL for Business course content was thoughtful and thorough; logically presented; relevant and applicable to our current global business environment and presented in an online format which made it easy to complete at my own pace. ATI instructors provided timely feedback on all my assignments, and ongoing support and encouragement throughout the course. I would recommend ATI for anyone interested in pursing a career in TESOL.

I got certified through this institute about two years ago. The course they provided for me was easy to understand, easy to use, and affordable. The course can be taken at one's own pace and there is always a chance to redo your work if you are not satisfied with it. All in all the american TESOL Institute is something anyone looking to teach ESL should look into.
