I have had the experience of having a loved one hospitalized at API and be treated in their intensive outpatient program and have been a client of their outpatient trauma and mental health intensive therapy. In both the care and compassion of the inpatient hospital staff and the full service
outpatient program which includes transportation to and from home if needed, API truly lived up to their reputation for exemplary patient services and effective personalized care. Thank you API for saving lives and making them
worth living .

I was at outpatient 5 years ago downtown San Diego with Lindsey who helped me very much.
Unfortunately,it's closed & I have no idea if she's still with API.

I like everything about the place however I am still noticing that not all clients have told me that they're getting lunch and they're getting different answers about when it's served.

Useless. The psychiatrist never helped the patients truly. My loved one came here for treatment and wanted to be treated & LEARN how to improve their mental health, yet was given a sandwich and the psychiatrist put on a movie …. This isn’t day care. People come here to get helped, not ignored.

The other times he came were useless as well. Never received quality care at all. False advertising.

Run, run, run away from this facility! Yes there are definitely some good people here, but it doesn't make up for the overall level/lack of care! Without a doubt Dr. Kushnir is the worst doctor that I have ever interacted with in my life! He does not care one bit about his patients!! None! He is a money sucking scumbag! All he cares about is making money! He NEVER, EVER RETURNS PHONE CALLS! EVER! NOT ONE TIME! He does his rounds in the middle of the night, so as to not interact with any family members. He gives sedation meds at midnight and then comes by at 1:00am and wakes the patient up to see how they are doing! Really?!! How do you think they are doing?!! You just gave them sleep narcotics and then when they fully kick in, you wake them up to see how they're doing?!! Unbelievable! He needs his license revoked! Again run away from this place. Told the CEO, and he did nothing!! Apparently he doesn't give a rip about his patients either!
