They truly run a good business! I’m new to the area and discovered this market one Sunday morning when I realized my church shares a parking lot with it. The store is clean & stocked, the food is fresh, and the employees are very content. They have good music playing on the speakers (the perfect volume, too!), and they even had employee-manned sample carts! The taco samples I tried were amazing! Service with a smile!

Always a good visit. A lot of people working, all registers open. Fresh quacamole being made. More than just groceries. A food court and more.

So much selection and fantastic prices. The staff is great, and I've always been able to find exactly what I need. The masa is great and the produce is wonderful. Parking can be tough and it gets crowded, but it's well worth it!

I eat their shrimp ceviche and aqua chile often. Don't miss the rice pudding and flan. Lots of prepared food too ! Bargains throughout the store make Northgate great value amongst grocery stores. The sore is very clean. Good people. Well stocked. Store made tortillas. Five stars

When I lived in Los Angeles, I would see this market, I moved to San Diego and went their to shop, very pleased with the meats produce and the service I received. I will be going back there to shop. Thank you for your time and service you gave me. 💯

The food here is so good and authentic! It’s on the right said as you walk through the doors. Go grab a number while you scope out what you want.

You can make tacos, tamales, order family meals, all sorts of meat, so delicious and worth it.

We got the family meal for 3 for $16.99. This included 1 pound of meat (chicken, carnitas or bbq). 1 pint rice, 1 pint beans, 1/2 pound salsa, 1 dozen corn tortilla.

We got chicken which was a whole chicken and tasted like rotisserie chicken. Such a great deal because you can get the chicken by itself for $8.99. The rice was not good. But everything else was superb. The tortillas are made in house.

We got one of each flavor for tamales and it’s the best I’ve had. We are always on a hunt for tamales and the only other location we go to is in Chula Vista or order from people at home but as far as store bought, this one is by far the best based on their masa and they make it in house.

Means transactions could be seconds off when running them. It's near the corner. Not inside. How many transactions a day? Quantify that over the week, month business quarter then year.

This Northgate is way better than the one by 43rd street. Here store is clean and lines actually move

I went to buy some of the cooked food inside! That the the right choice! I got ribs, carnitas, stuffed jalapenos under $30

Mexican Heaven:… the agua chiles are bomb.. the fresh corn tortillas are hearty…. The birria is beautiful

I go here for specific things. I love it! Miss the spicy ceviche - so I buy it and make it spicy now

So I do make tamales very often with North gate masa. If I go early la señora the makes is " makes the masa smooth and perfect with help of the machine" .... who EVER THE F ELSE the does the masa " is to tired " to process the masa for tamales enough time. Because u can feel the grains and is very " NOT APETTAZIN " to feel that when u bite a tamal.

Best place! Everything you need to have a successful party! Great prices, too!

Tha cashiers are really nice some try to make conversation with you while that are scanning the products.

Bakery assistant was friendly and assisted me with sweet bread recommendations and placed in a box to take with me to work. He went above and beyond and my employees loved the fresh/warm bread.

I live the corn tortillas and inexpensive vegetables plus all the amazing salsas and guac!

This place never lets me down. I tend to find more than what I even went in for. I was very pleased with how attentive the staff is and once they seen the lines were too long they opened more lanes. I am always pleased with the service and the food on the hot bar is always great.

It's my kind of store, clean plenty of room to get around. Best fresh fruit.deli !!! Plus a new seal was laid down over asphalt. Looks New.🙌🙌🙌
