Unfortunately, I had to file a small claim against a contractor who did poor work. I was very surprised at how friendly and helpful the judge and volunteer mediators were. They set very clear expectations for both parties about the mediation process and possible outcomes (good and bad) if the issue is not resolved in mediation.

In the end, my issue was resolved in mediation. This would not have been possible without this process. This is a wonderful example of a valuable and excellently executed public service. Thank you!!

I gave respect and respect was given. Ultimately, if your not happy with your treatment there, don’t break the law. That said, I did break the law, I own that. I appreciate the professionalism of all the staff I encountered and certainly the fairness of the judge who was receptive to my situation.

Presiding judge very forgiving and willing to help those who help themselves. If you show up as if you just rolled out of bed and are unprepared, don't expect the court to acquiesce to your time. However, if you actually have a relatable reason, this court's ok by my standards.

I can only give three stars because I resent having to be here at all. Honestly, the Judge and the staff here were extremely friendly and helpful and they had me out in under 20 minutes so if you have to go to traffic court, I guess this is the place to do it but who likes getting traffic tickets? Definitely not me and this will be the first one on my record in nearly 20 years. In college, I wrote a paper years ago about how we should do away with speed laws and issue tickets for behavior that adds to our traffic nightmares here. It's so congested now that you barely have any opportunities to exceed the speed limit even if you actually wanted to. Let them get their revenues from all the Subaru/Prius drivers who drive under the speed limit in the fast lane. There are tons of them and that's the real problem on the roads here now. More accidents are caused by people pulling hairball stunts to get around the clueless people impeding traffic. Modern cars are designed to handle well at higher speeds and the speed limits are based on cars that were designed over 50 years ago. It's annoying. The other thing I hate is feeling like a criminal. It's hard to go to any sort of court and not feel that way. For every suburban dad, there are a truckload of the dregs of humanity and I could do without having to rub elbows with them.

Presiding Judge Jeffrey Goodwin is wholly unqualified to hold his role in my opinion. The second he misrepresented the facts of bail requirements for violent home invaders that had a 4 hour stand off with the police, he should have been removed from the bench.

One of the worst places. The people have a really bad attitude. I feel sorry for people that have to pay for tickets or have to do business here.

Whoever answered lied to me. I called asking about which county to file a name change petition and she told me that it doesnt matter and that you can do it at any court in washington. THIS IS A LIE. Every county court website states that it MUST be done in the county in which you reside. What a horrible misinformation so intentionally give!

This court is disorganized, unethical and ripe for miscarriage of justice. They do not follow procedure, case law or even a reliable schedule! Be on your toes, and in the know , several steps ahead always. You well find that you have to help them help you!
