Love the Fred’s! We were traveling through and had an oil leak. They got us in and out so fast (and at closing time), were very knowledgeable and funny! Definitely have a new place to stop if needed. Highly recommend.

What a life saver this place turned out to be. I was passing through the state when my car started over heating just as i was getting to Cedar City. I called this shop and they said bring it in. Within 30 minutes of arriving at the shop Jon was on it. He diagnosed the issue and had me back up and running within the hour! Jon checked out a couple other things and sent me on my way. I still cant believe how lucky i was to find this place, one of my best mechanic experiences ever. Highly recommend, thanks again Jonnie!

We broke down in Cedar City coming home. They set us up for a Monday morning repair and were finished in about 3 hours for an extensive repair so we could continue. Awesome and fast service.

John and Fred Jr were awesome to work with. They got my car in the day I called, kept me updated when parts came in, and got it done in good time. Good customer service is hard to come by anymore, but these guys didn’t disappoint!

We had part of the undercarriage of our car fall down and started draggingbwhile on the highway. We pulled in to Steve's (who is open until 7 on Saturday) and a nice man came and climbed under our car on the asphalt and removed it so we could get.home safely. They charged us $10! Amazing service!

This place was recommended to me by a worker at AutoZone for a diagnosis. My vehicle was diagnosed in about 30 minutes and at a competitive price. Good and honest work, and the issue was shown to me and explained.
I will definitely be returning to Steve's Shell in the future.

If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. They saved us from a real disaster. On our way back from St. George our engine began leaking oil pretty significantly. We took a gamble and drove the 20 miles into Cedar City. We rolled in 40 minutes before they closed, on a Sunday, with a hole in one of our oil hoses, and zero oil on our dipstick. They got to work quickly and figured out the problem. They not only saved us a ton of money on a rental car, and time leaving our car hundreds of miles from home, they also stayed after hours and were so friendly. Thank you for all the effort put into getting us back on the road without a seized engine!

I have been taking my family’s cars to Steve’s Shell for several years now. Fred is a fantastic mechanic. He takes good care of us and our cars.

Wow - an honest and knowledgeable mechanic with prices that are more than fair. We had our car towed here after breaking down on the highway. We told them that we thought it was an alternator problem. They could have charged us a ton of money to replace the alternator and we wouldn't have thought twice. Instead, we only paid $30 and were quickly on our way!! I wish we lived closer, I would always bring my cars here.

This shop is amazing! My car broke down 2 miles outside of Cedar while heading to Salt Lake on a Sunday. I was towed to Steve's shop. Even though they were busy Jon was able to fix my car so that I could get back on the road. Jon was very friendly, honest and knowledgeable. I wish this shop was closer to home because good honest mechanics are hard to find.

We were traveling through and purchased fuel at a Sinclair station. Within a mile of leaving the station our check engine light came on. We went to Auto Zone and they diagnosed a fuel sensor. They recommended Steve's Shell. Fred took care of us. We told him we had just fueled up. He cleared the check engine light, put some Sea Foam in the fuel system and told us to see if the check engine light come back on.. Mutile starts and a couple hundred miles later, no issue. Would recommend Steve's Shell to anyone who needs assistance.

Best mechanic I’ve ever met. Got stranded outside Cedar City, fixed my car quickly at a crazy good price. Fixing my power steering for 500 when other mechanics told me it would be 3k.

Taking my son to college, the engine light came on, they fixed what needed to be fixed, didn't try fixing a bunch of other things. Showed us the computer read out to verify what they were repairing. Charges were reasonable and the service and communication was awesome. They had us on and out in under 3 hrs! Highly recommend the car services! We owe you tickets!

I was recently driving through Cedar City on my way to Arizona when part of my car's struts fell off. Steve's Shell was the only place open on a Sunday, and while I arrived too late in the day for them to repair my car that day it was fixed for a relatively low price by noon on Monday. 2,000 miles after the fact, it's still driving perfectly! They saved my road trip, were super easy to work with, and great at communicating with me.

Losing air conditioning while driving from Idaho to Arizona was not good, especially at 3:00 on a Saturday. However, thanks to Johnny at Steve’s Shell, he had us fixed up within a half hour, and back on the road with a much cooler ride. However, not only did he help us, he was helping every other distressed car owner that stopped there as well, and there was many. I hope this guy’s boss sees how much he does, how knowledgeable he is and how friendly. This young man was old school and I would imagine he is what makes Steve’s Shell a great service station. Definitely one of the best mechanics that I could have found with a lot of experience and better than that 100% friendly and sincere it shows that your workshop is always to help definitely a quality of people I will follow my way to New Jersey very grateful🫡💯🙌🏻

Highly recommend! Steve’s Shell was one of the only places in town that would diagnose/repair my Toyota RV on short notice. John was super friendly, knowledgeable, and straight-forward about what needed to be fixed, and did so quickly for a reasonable price.

I can't speak more highly of Fred Jr and Fred Sr who bailed me out of a tough spot and fixed my car quick when I got stranded in Cedar City. Not only that, but they were honest and pushed through what turned out to be a tough fix. I'm very grateful for the work they did and the effort they put in. When I had my problem the mechanics at Love's where I originally stopped recommended them and I understand why. Great job and many thanks. I can recommend them without equivocation.

This is the best mechanic in the world I have tried to have my truck fixed it cost me thousands of dollars. Freddy found the problem with in 2 minutes fixed it and only cost me hundred dollars. If you are in town I would stop bye he is honest and to the point he always helps everyone.
