Ziggy's

Anytime we visit SLO, we have to go to Ziggy's. It's one of our favorite restaurants in the area. The KCK salad is my favorite. The perfect amount of sweetness, spice and crunch.
The food and service is always great.

This little small hole in the wall is a Prime destination for any vegan. Specializing in burgers , fries, tacos and more. It’s more of a takeout spot that only really has seating for 8-10. We luckily squeezed in 6 of us as there was nobody else there at the moment. The staff was friendly and answered all of our questions. They have T shirts and hats for sale with the piggy logo. We ordered the fried avo tacos and the Crunchwrap supreme ( a vegan version of the Taco Bell classic). Both were awesome with lots of flavor. I especially liked the chipotle sauce on the tacos. Others in our group got the cauliflower bowl, the loaded fries, and the apple pie. All seemed to enjoy what they got. My wife was interested in the milkshakes and soft serve but will save that for our next visit.

We recently visited this place.. NOTE - Its a take out only place.. something we didn’t realize until we got there. Luckily they had a couple of small tables and as a party of two we managed to grab a spot to enjoy our meal onsite. The food came in takeaway boxes which added to the casual on the go vibe of the place.

Our order included Phoenix burger, Baja and avocado tacos and Dirty fries. Each dish brought its own unique flair to the table but burger really stood out for me. It was bursting with amazing flavors and had just the right amount of spice.. no need for extra hot sauces which is unusual for me.

My wife was a big fan of both tacos. They were packed with flavor and although I added some habanero sauce for an extra kick, they were delicious on their own. Note - their habanero sauce was a fiery treat!!

Riding on the high of our initial choices we decided to try the Korean cauliflower for the road swayed by the Yelp reviews which said how great they are. Unfortunately they didn’t quite match our taste buds.. a bit too sweet for our liking. We tried them with ranch and habanero sauce but we wouldn’t go for them again.

definitely planning a return trip for that fantastic burger the next time we’re in SLO.

This place is a must for any plant based eaters in the area. We had it once about a year ago while passing through on a road trip and had it not once but twice while back in SLO for an event. The food is more on the indulgent side but still feels healthy, with salads and bowls as well. The taquitos had an amazing sauce and kale on top which were fantastic. We came back specifically to order them again. I remembered the girl working there from the year prior and she was really nice and helpful. Prices are fair for what you get and they have generous portions. While you can eat there it's very small and can only sit about 6 people total. We grabbed the food and then ate it near the beach. Highly recommended for vegans and non vegans alike!

If you’re looking for comfort vegan food on the road this is your plant-based option! Their whole menu is vegan and it’s delicious. If you’re craving a fried chicken sandwich or a heavy burger they have ya covered. They also have an amazing vegan Caesar salad. I wish the inside was a little bigger. The option to sit on the front patio is really just a shopping mall so there’s no ambiance. Its great for pick up, maybe take to the beach but not really an atmosphere to want to have lunch at.

I was so, so happy with my carnitas fries as well as the KCB (korean cauliflower bites), and the service was great!

While up in SLO I had to try Ziggy's again. My partner and I got a few different items to share.
Their Cauli Bowl was delicious and we loved the carnitas fries. I got the crunch wrap and that was much nicer than anything the sonorous fast food place ever served.
The service was really quick and the workers were very nice. They made sure to ask about utensils and napkins.

We had an amazing time. The food was better than we anticipated. The customer service was great as well. My wife loves hot sauce and Matt went out of his way to accommodate her. It was so good, that we first went for lunch and then we decided to go back for dinner. The chocolate and the oreo shakes were also super good.

Best vegan take out food on the central coast and the service is always amazing and staff are friendly. Always stop by!

The best new vegan restaurant! At least that's what a sign says inside. I'm not surprised, their food is delicious, but I'm not impressed by the sign. How many new restaurants are there in the area? Then out of those new restaurants, how many of them are vegan? I'm assuming not that many. Also what are they classifying as new? Is a restaurant still "new" after a month, 6 months, a year? What's new?!?! I need some direction here. Are new restaurants classified the same way as newborns? A baby is a newborn up until 2 months. After that they are just born. Is it the same for new restaurants? Or are new restaurants like newlyweds and no one really knows when they're not newlyweds no more. Or are new restaurants like the news. I feel like the news is not new news as soon as the next day's news comes out. I honestly don't know what to think anymore. "New" is starting to lose all its meaning to me. I wonder if I opened a newspaper stand, could I get a sign that says, "best new newspaper stand"? I'm assuming I'd be the only newspaper stand in the area...who reads newspapers anymore? Even if there was a competing newspaper stand, I'd definitely be the best "new" one. Maybe one day I'll do that, so I can finally be the best at something. Anyways, I wasn't impressed by Ziggy's "best new vegan restaurant" sign, but I was thoroughly impressed by their delicious food.

Everything vegan, and everything was incredibly good. The Ziggy patties are great and we still dream about the chocolate and oreo milkshakes. You have to stop here when going through SLO!

When I consider vegan food I expect a good amount of veggies and a good component to balance that much green. Baja tacos are the best representation of that. Also, it’s a good taco but it could’ve used a bit more sauce then it’ll be mind blowing. Tip: use avocado egg rolls dipping sauce.

Avocado egg rolls are good. I mean I was craving for BJ’s avocado egg roll but since BJ’s is not available in 50 miles radius so I tried the one in ziggy’s. Absolutely amazing. Dipping sauce is good. Rolls are perfectly crispy and tasty. These rolls are must have.

We were still hungry after 2 tacos and avocado egg rolls so thought of taking dirty fries and KCB to go. Boy did we were more wrong. We ate till we are completely full. KCB comes with a ranch side and it balances the sweet taste of that Korean sauce perfectly. Slight too sweet for my taste but thanks to that ranch it’s just perfect. Dirty fries are too much. These are comparable to animal style fries from In n out.

Tip: get 1-1 taco each and avocado rolls and share the fries. Believe me, you’ll love it but won’t be able to finish entirely.

Absolutely wonderful Gyro today. Just knocked it out of the park. All the flavor. Backed it up with a wonderful vanilla shake, grabbed a Cesar to go. Thank you for being here.

Really one of my favorite places to eat when I go to the coast! They guy was super nice and gave my man and I a free pumpkin dessert that was absolutely amazing while we waited for our food for no reason just a friendly gesture 🙌 😊 we always buy food passing through SLO! I recommend to try most definitely 😁

I thought this joint was perfect when I first tried it but they keep getting better over time. They keep the staples and have added a Crunchwrap, a rice bowl, milkshakes, chicken sandwich, burritos, breakfast sandwiches etc.. but yet they keep them simple! My wife gets ice cream here at least 3 times a week! Some people make comments about the irony that its vegan but not super health focused.... The real irony is that you're at a burger joint complaining about health options! We come to ziggys to get our foodie on! Burger, fries, Crunchwrap, and dessert!

What delicious food! Super friendly service! All VEGAN! I enjoyed the black bean taquitos...they also have taquitos with Impossible plant based meat.The fries with tasty ranch were yummy and the strawberry milkshake was such a treat! I will definitely return!

The food is beyond delicious! This is my new favorite place to eat. Everything here is plant based so you don't get that crazy "food coma" feeling afterwards. I would highly recommend this place no matter what your eating style is. I'm already thinking about what I'm going to order next time (probably tomorrow lol).

Tried avocado taco and avocado egg roll. My daughter had the burger. We both where happy with the food and will be back again.

Mushroom Burger (Impossible), tator tots, avacado egg rolls. Sauce with the egg rolls, on point! Very yummy! Service was awesome! Take out. Definitely will stop again. 🤤
