California Highway Patrol

Me and my family would personally like to show appreciation for Chp officer Matt. We were involved in a crash on Monday Jan. 24th with our truck and travel trailer right before the bridge near Santa Maria. Officer Matt went above and beyond. There was an other Chp officer there also for a while who helped a lot also but he left. There were also 2 detectives first on the scene that came out of nowhere to help but officer Matt really went above and beyond by even taking us home. Me and my family would really like to thank him and all the men and women in uniform that go above and beyond to take care of ALL of us everyday. Blue lives matter. We got your back

Excellent work officers, especially you Toby! Turned a bad day into a good one. I appreciate your efforts and quick thinking.

Just wanted to say thank you for the great Job you do, I pray for your safety every day. Your all doing a great job keep our communities safe.

Called few times even went over for few things to fix. Everyone on the phone and in person very friendly and helpful.

Bravo to the officer who stopped traffic on hwy. 101 to help a group of ducklings cross.

Reported a wondering on dog the freeway, called a bit later to get an update and they didn’t know what I was referring to ( like they hadn’t actually written down my report) then after me explaining further they said “ oh yeah someone went out to look for the dog but couldn’t find him”

Just hoping someone the dog is okay and someone was able to get him home safe.

Wished the people I spoke with were more caring and took things like this more seriously.

Showed up at my door after reporting a crime like I was the criminal. Two CHP officers were hiding behind trees ready to draw their gun on me (hand on gun). I never even provided my address, they showed up completely unannounced and asked me to step outside.

just called to report a driver swerving and throwing beer cans out the window.. while my husband was on the phone with them I suddenly screamed bc the car we were reporting stopped right in the middle of the road and we almost hit them. the lady dispatcher (3:30 pm Saturday 4/22/17) had the audacity to say "no wonder why they are driving the way they are, they have her screaming at them" and proceeded to hang up on us.. clearly not caring that a drunk driver was dangering lives. so keep a look out people for a red VW Golf travelling southbound with 4 passengers throwing out beer cans and driving poorly, just passed the R&B Ranch. thanks CHP for absolutely nothing
