Great fresh sushi, we love the chirashi bowl, it's huge with variety kind of fish. Different from the last time we came. The sushi combo A was also plenty and delicious. It's pricy but reasonable for the portion and quality.
12/26: Went again for the chirashi, hands down still the best in town! it has sliced salted macarel and kazunoko/ salted herring egg that I dont see served in any other chirashi bowl we had and we had tried many places. Thank you, Wasabi Bay!

By far the best sashimi I've had in the North Seattle area in a long time. The freshness of the fish is absolutely stunning and the roles are just perfectly balanced. This spot was truly a hidden gem to find and I can't wait to be back very soon! 10/10 recommend 👌🏻

Couldn't be happier with our take out we got today. We ordered several rolls along with handrolls. We also got tempura soft shell crab, hamachi kama and a sashimi platter. The food has never disappointed me when I use to dine in. Now we do take out. Last time we got a big order was in October for my birthday but we will continue to order and support Wasabi Bay. Sushi is always fresh and tasty. I look forward to continuing to get my sushi fix from this restaurant. I hope we can all try if we can to support those restaurants we love who need extra support during these trying times. If you need a great place for sushi try them.

I haven't been here in so many years. I have always liked it. And now, it's still the same feeling. Love it. They were really busy and only had one person that was the host, waiter and busser. The food was great and definitely reasonably priced.

FABULOUS FOOD!
I realize this spot may not need yet another great review, however, I do want to share, as finding a good sushi spot can be challenging.
I ordered in person for take out. There were only two tables seated and I was told my order would take 40 minutes. Apparently they do a HOPPING take out business. The host/server at the front was very nice and polite, when asking for extra ginger and offering to pay, said "no problem, no problem" and there was no charge.
My order - over $100. First-Jalapeno Teck, just CRAZY YUM! 2 Regular rolls, one of which was Ichi ( Daughter-in-law said was the BEST Ichi roll EVER). 2 Specialty - Popcorn Lobster and Spider Fantasy (BOMB.COM!) The sashimi - my FAVE superwhite tuna and yellowtail were incredibly fresh and BUTTERY. And the tempura veggies, oh the tempura veggies!! I don't know the secret of how they do it, but I have NEVER had tempura veggies to-go that stay THAT CRIPSY!
Cudos to the owners and the chefs. It may be a bit pricey, but a VERY worthwhile treat!! If you like sushi/sashimi, you MUST try this place!!

Update: Their in season salmon belly and salmon roe was incredible. Do not miss the Chirashi that has Toro, Maguro, ikura, etc. Excellent sushi. Toro and Maguro were expertly sliced and melt-on-the-tongue buttery. Soothing ambiance. Great bar. Tucked into a pleasant MillCreek downtown shopping strip mall.

Hands down the best sushi place in Washington state! Great customer service and very delicious sushi! Popcorn lobster roll recommend😋 We definitely will keep coming back! Please guys good food takes time and it's only 1 server and 1 sushi chef managing the restaurant and they both do a damn good job!

With over 20 years experience of eating sushi, I have only one word to describe this place — LEGIT!
And service was great too!

Absolutely AMAZING Japanese food. I spent about 2 years in Japan and the food is just as good as something you would find there. My wife and I eat there at least once a week and always try something new, we have yet to be disappointed. The sushi is equally as amazing! The prices are very reasonable for what you get. The staff is always super nice and very friendly!

Great little sushi place with good options, friendly staff and fair prices.

Located in a small strip mall I didn't initially notice it but decided to give them a try. The inside is larger than expected and we we're able to get seated quickly. Staff was friendly and service was quick. Only downside is that it was cold inside. It's December so it was cold outside too but turn the heat up a couple degrees.

The sushi and sushimi we're both great. They have all the all the standard options plus a selection of fun rolls. The selection of special rolls included a lot of options that I haven't seen in the area. We tried the lobster roll and were very happy with it's interpretation.

Further, they had a fair selection of combinations. I had sushi combination A (pictured). It was $25 and as you can see came with plenty of food. They get bigger after that. They also have platter options if you're a larger party or very hungry. All together it's a great deal for the price.

I am a sushi enthusiast who loves going to japan just to have high quality omakase (rip covid). While it wouldnt be fair to compare directly to japan's quality due to cost difference, however i can compare it to local sushi restaurants. I will be reviewing only the quality of fish and chefs skill to make nigiri. First of all, hands down the only sushi place that i can melt the fish with my tongue. While i would like the rice to melt as well, it requires vinegar to the ricr and i know that involves mote costs and more prep work so would not be feasible to their store. So just keeping the fish fresh with high quality, is a 5 star. Other local sushis always have are stiff(?) Have weird fat so that i actually have to chew. Its much easier to understand ehat i mean when you try a bad quality vs good quality.

The second part is the size of the fish and the rice ratio. You could probably comparejust with google review pics, compared to other restaurant, they dont short cut down on fish size unlike others try to save that itty bitty cost. As well as not adding a stupid amount of rice, just to fill you up. If you have too much rice, you cannot enjoy the taste of fish as much. So in short, very well fish rice balance.

One improvement i would recommend to the chef is some how making the rice more soft for nigri sushi, but that may be a hard thing to do when considering rotations. But if this can be some how achieved, other local sushis would be taken down.

In short, best sushi in town. Try the nigiri sushi not rolls if you want to appreciate the natural quality of fish. 5/5 would recommend. Also the first legit review ive left ever in my life. I just had to.

I ordered three rolls (Seattle, Yummy Crunch, and Red Bull) and Miso soup. All of the food was delicious and fresh. The miso soup had really good flavor. The meal was also well packaged for delivery and arrived promptly. I would definitely order from Wasabi Bay again!

Best sushi hands down around the Seattle area.
We know them well.
Order the firehouse if you like spice
Mexican roll ( i think they may have changed the name)

Food quality is high. It’s pretty packed during normal lunch/dinner hours so we always go after the peak. So far it’s our favorite sushi place in the greater Seattle area at this pricing level.

Sushi here is so good. The family owned this place, is so nice and kind all the time. Quality of sushi is beyond average, just fabulous, melting in my mouth.

Must get salmon, tuna and shrimp and so on. Telling you, this place is way better than any other sushi places in Seattle, trust me.

The best sushi around! I moved out of mill creek and still make a trip to go here. Wish I lived closer or they were open on my day off. Only day they are closed is Monday.
