What I have learned over years is this, upload your paper work via their online portal. Communicate with them clearly what you have uploaded and they will do the needful. First time around figuring out the exact details/forms take time. Subsequent filings are a breeze. I have had them upload a copy to check. The same online portal has last years return for you to compare. This process works perfect for me. I have also realized as my taxes have grown complex, my expectation for a turn around time should be generous. Thank you Amit and crew for filing our taxes.
